The Ceviche made here is so fresh and delicious, you'll forget that it's being served up from a truck! Even the oysters are great! Go on Taco Tuesday and they have nice deals on their tacos and empanadas! Their empanadas are fire!

Hands down the BEST mariscos in the west side. I truly don't think there's any other place that comes close to this in the area. And we all know you can't get mariscos that are really good just anywhere. Food is always fresh and service always on point. 100% recommend. Note - They're now located right across the street from In-N-Out on Venice Blvd.

Food was just okay, but the service was genuinely disappointing. It took nearly 30 minutes to get served even though there was hardly a line. I had three orders, and each one was wrong in a different way; I was given an empanada instead of a taco, a full aguachile instead of a tostada, and an ahogada missing the jalapeños. When I politely pointed out the mistakes, the staff member became visibly irritated instead of apologetic. In front of other customers, he even told me I was “pressing him” when I was literally standing quietly waiting for my food. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. At these prices, I expect decent service and basic accuracy. Unfortunately, the attitude and disorganization here completely overshadowed the food. Definitely not worth the time, cost, or frustration.

Portion is great. Seafood is super fresh. Highly recommend and happy to see more higher end food trucks around Culver.

Oooohhhhh snap. The universe has BLESSED me with a Mariscos truck literally 431 feet from my apartment and it is both delicious and affordable. I had to try a little bit of everything so I ordered the shrimp taco, fried fish taco (I heard it's salt-cured seabass), shrimp empanada, and the tuna sashimi tostada, of course with a Mexican coke to wash it down. My favorite was the raw tuna which was fresh, delicious, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. It was a generous portion with thinly sliced jalapeno and red onion, cucumber, and a tangy, smoky sauce that tasted like Maggi and lime. My other favorite was the fried fish taco which was light, crispy, and flavorful with a nice crunchy cabbage slaw. The portions are great and they have deals on Tuesday of course. Ernesto and his team are so nice and the truck is in the perfect location on Venice with a couple picnic tables in a shady, grassy area under a nice tree. I can't wait to come back again and again and again and again, especially to try the oysters, scallops, and octopus!

Been wanting to try this spot for a min since I work nearby. Finally got to it. And went with a coworker. The truck usually parks near the park across from the In n Out or on the In n Out side. Good menu. Prices listed. It's a little more expensive than I had anticipated but this is Culver City and yeah the price of everything is going up. I opted for the Botana Ahogadas. Tuna, Raw Shrimp and Scallop all in a what appears like a aguachile rojo broth. Flavors are really good. The price was $40 which kind of caught me off guard. But the amount is large. The botana Reyna was at $50 which looked like it had almost double but I wasnt that hungry. You can share this botana ahogadas. I was pretty full after. The tuna was fresh and over the amount you would get a sushi spot if it was a sashimi order. The scallops were tasty as was the shrimps. I prefer the aguachile camarones to be on the larger size but this all worked out well. Also keep in mind this is spicy. A little but above your average aguachile. The salsa negra pairs well with everything. Coworker said the Empanadas de Camarones was good. Service was friendly and quick. A person sat next to us and they got Ceivhe de Pulpo and it looked great and priced at $20. If I come back ill opt for the cecivhe. 3.5 stars to be exact but not a lot of drink options and price puts El Faro at a 3 for me. Still solid just a little pricey.

This truck serves up some excellent Mariscos! I tried the fresh raw oysters, Dori ceviche, and shrimp empanadas.. Everything was super fresh and very tasty! So happy that I've found this truck! Service was quick, the prices were reasonable and the owner was very cool!

Culver City and Westside denizens -- one of the best mariscos trucks in Los Angeles has a new truck location along Venice Boulevard in Culver City. To find the seafood truck, it is parked near India's Sweets and Spices. You'll have to find parking on the street. If you're a fan of mariscos trucks such as Mariscos Jalisco, you'll want to try the seafood tostadas at Mariscos El Faro. On the menu, you'll find ceviches, sashimi, fish tacos, shrimp tacos, tostadas, and shrimp empanadas. They've already established a reputation as a destination seafood food truck in Highland Park where visiting top chefs from Mexico eat mariscos when they're in Los Angeles. In time, they will be known as one of the best places for Mexican-style prepared seafood in the Westside. Their specialty is callo de lobina (salt-cured sea bass marinated in lime juice) topped with chile chiltepín. This is what I usually order at their truck in Highland Park and probably what you should try during your first visit. Today was Taco Tuesday, so at Ernesto's suggestion I ordered each one -- fish taco, shrimp taco and shrimp empanada. It's 2 for 1 on Taco Tuesday... I am not sure you can get a better deal in the Westside for 6 fish tacos, shrimp tacos, and shrimp empanadas all for $12. You can follow their IG @mariscoselfaro for more information.

Nothing more authentic around. Genuine recipe from Mazatlan, Sinaloa. Tacos de camarón take crown in a very close race between the fish tacos. Salsa is spicy. Which is rare and I love it. For botanas the one to go is La botana Reyna una Delicia !

This is a great spot!!! I've been coming for the past few weeks not only because it conveniently started parking across from my building, but I'm a big fan of ceviche and aguachiles. Though I'm a big fan of Mariscos Jalisco and I have no hate for them whatsoever I do have to give a shoutout to the chef from El Faro. He noticed Im a repeat costumer and has been hooking it up. He sprinkled some extra Abalone or "oreja de mar" To my aguachile and it was AMAZING. Shoutout to this truck and Hispanic businesses kicking ass! FUCK ICE!

Ernesto and his staff are very nice. I've been here twice already and definitely see myself coming back weekly. I love their tuna sashimi, it's definitely something everyone should try at least once. I also like how he offers seafood shots. I got the aguachile shot and it was fire. (Literally) They are addicting! Definitely take advantage of his Tuesday taco specials where each taco is only $2!! Don't forget to tip his lovely team!

Had the fish tacos, shrimp hard shell tacos, shrimp emanadas and mixed ceviche, everything was good but they skimp you out on limes and hot sauce. The lady taking your order not too friendly and seems very easily annoyed, unsure if I will come back again!!!

Amazing food, we had the ceviche and it was so fresh and flavorful! The avocado and seafoodwas so fresh, and the seasoning and lime had a kick to it! Ernesto was super friendly. Highly recommend!

The freshest Mariscos north of the border. The tostada mixta will transport you to the beaches of Mazatlan with a cool ocean breeze hitting your face and a banda playing at full volume. Fast and friendly service.
