Art and Culture in Barcelona

"This Fernando Botero sculpture of a well-fed cat has become an icon of El Raval. And it’s one of the few public works of art that you can go ahead and climb on.MUHBA Plaça del Rei -– This place is hard to locate, both online and in the real world, but it’s worth the effort. It’s one of several far-flung sites that are collectively managed by MUHBA, the Barcelona City Museum. Once you ask for directions and find the real thing, stairs will take you underground, where you’ll tour the remains of an actual Roman city. That city and earlier settlements before it were buried over the centuries by silt that has continuously extended Barcelona’s shoreline. You’ll see where the Romans lived, worked, and made wine more than 2,000 years ago." - MATADOR_NETWORK

Horrible food. It’s shocking that a hospital would serve this to people. I had to go to jack in the box for a better lunch.

Yelp
Ok, so yes, this is for the cafeteria at El Camino Hospital in Los Gatos (formerly Los Gatos Community Hospital.) That said, the food here is actually pretty palatable for hospital food! If you follow the link, they SOMETIMES have their daily special menu for the week up and there is always one protein dish and then a vegetarian dish. The daily special is usually around $3-4 with sides available that are around $1 each, usually rice or bread and some sort of vegetable. If you are not down for that, they do have the grill open 7 days a week, where they have hot dogs (they're really good here!!!), hamburgers, veggie burgers (they sometimes serve the black bean variety if you get one that looks like it is burnt one day), and other basic hot deli items. Though it is not on the menu, they also serve sweet potato (really garnet yam) fries, you just have to request it once you place your order and I believe they are the same price as the regular orders of fries. In addition, they also have a fresh salad and sandwich bar every day and then prepared foods in the fridge (like sandwiches and sushi.) I've eaten at a lot of hospital cafeterias around the Bay Area when friends or family were hospitalized for various reasons (nothing grim, thankfully) and I have to say that this one is the best cafeteria. Only 3 stars though because the food isn't anything AMAZING, so please don't go expecting Michelin Star dining. Oh and please don't go acting all crazy and foolish, it's terrible how some people treat the employees here. =(
