Boy, I would eat at this place practically every day at lunch if I worked in this town (ok, city). I spent a year trying every taco joint, taqueria, taco truck, taco fast food, and taco restaurant in the town I work in. This would easily rank among the best and I'm not kidding.
The menu is really straight forward and easy. You go to the counter, look up, and go for it. Cashier was very helpful. This place is small and doesn't have a lot of staff. Go ahead, put your adult pants on and drop some money in that tip jar that consists of a bill and not just loose change. They will appreciate it and it is worth the extra care.
I had the three taco platter. Corn tortillas of course. They were small but two per taco. If you wanted to, at $1.35 you could add more. That's cheaper than those trashy chain taco spots. And MUCH better. I tried the barbacoa (just awe-some pleasuring of the palate), the al pastor (my favorite which was hard among these three) and a carne asade (which deserves all the fame it receives). Came with light and fluffy rice (very well cooked) and the standard savory beans.
My wife had the agua fresca (melon flavored) and I lost my mind with envy. She always does that to me! No matter what I order, she always out orders me.
Place was clean and relatively open on a Sunday night. I would definitely recommend anyone try this place out. If you don't like it: marry a Hispanic woman, move to a central American country and beg her mother to feed you for the rest of your life. Otherwise, this is as good as it gets as a corrupted tex-mex version of authentic food.
Pro tip: Get the agua fresca! (and let me know how the other flavors work).
