I had a delightful experience at the restaurant! The food was not only delicious but also abundantly served, truly a feast for the senses. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, making it easy to relax and enjoy the moment. While the service was a bit too laid back for my taste, the quality of the food and the overall environment more than compensated for it. They offered a refreshing selection of ice-cold beers and wines, which perfectly complemented the meal. Just a heads up—if you prefer your drinks on the rocks, be sure to ask for ice, as it’s not typically provided automatically. Both credit cards and cash are welcome, and I was pleased to find all the staff members exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Overall, a wonderful dining experience!

We have been welcomed in a very nice way by Mario and he showed us around the place and we had a little chat. Told us about the different areas and he said: act like you are home and he left us. We ended up at the outside area bar with a very nice view and vibe towards the end of the afternoon. We had mate with sweets & fries and enjoyed the view here. Our waiter Lousian was very nice and helpful, checked on us in a very friendly way and made sure we were feeling home. I saw this place few years ago but I didnt have time to visit. If you want to enjoy your time with nice food and drink & feeling like home (and a very photogenic environment) its here!

Beaaaaaautiful place, so comfortable and nice to sit and chat. The food was really good, we ordered a pasta and steak, we have nothing to complain: perfectly cooked and delicious. The salad was delicious as well.

This review was supposed to be a shiny 5-star, but we went in on two separate occasions and they just went downhill. ATMOSPHERE: You're literally eating in someone's backyard on temporary tables and chairs either under the covered patio next to the house or on the grass/gravel lot. A huge barbecue grill at the front is a great showcase and emits obnoxious amounts of smoke onto the sidewalk which draws in the people while leaving an indelible scent on your person. A live singer serenaded us with Spanish music. Hopefully you won't be greeted with an "all full sign" as we were on our second day due to its popularity. If so, try and put your name in with one of the staff though there was no organization whatsoever. MENU: Salads, barbecued meats and poultry, desserts. Good selection of wine and beer. TAKEOUT FOOD: Chorizo Sandwich We walked in to the place and just did takeout on this cheap, absolutely tasty sandwich. Definitely 5 stars. IN-HOUSE FOOD (NEXT DAY): Cerveza Cristal We ordered a liter of the local brew which was smooth and very affordable. Carne Empanada My favorite Argentinian food never came to the table. Very disappointed! Our Salad A small dish of arugula, mixed greens, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese were tossed in a balsamic dressing. Very mainstream. Provolone Cheese with Mushrooms & Onions Ooey gooey? Nope. The skillet of cheese sat somewhere and was delivered coagulated, almost cold and hard. Come on!? Complete Barbecue A portable charcoal-heated grill-pan arrived with chorizo, blood sausage, ribs, flank steak and chicken. Missing were the kidney, intestines and pork. We informed them about the kidney which was brought separately, nixed the intestines and totally forgot about the pork. The steak and chicken were dry and over cooked, the ribs were super fatty. This was my first try at kidney and it was pretty good! The best of them all was the single chorizo. SERVICE: Dreadfully slow and really non-existent. The locals seemed to be well taken care of though. One female worker who we waved over acknowledged us but never returned. The only person who helped us was the cashier/host who brought us utensils and who we informed of the missing empanadas. Everyone else was too busy servicing other tables. TIPS: They have a "cover charge" of $1 per table. Why? Cash only, USD accepted. Their proudly posted WiFi password didn't work. OVERALL: Dry barbecue, horrible service, incomplete orders. Do takeout and leave!

Staff were wonderful and the setting is amazing. The choripán was delicious and the beers were well-priced. Definitely recommend!

We came here just wanting to get some coffee, which we got! I thought that it might be a mistake to enter since it seemed very ful and like a “stereotypical” tourist trap. But the service was excellent, the coffee very good and we had some very nice scones to that! The only reason I can’t give this place a 5 is because it was super ful, maybe not the calmest place I’ve ever visited for a coffee. I also didn’t try the food. A really nice garden though!

Beautiful outdoor seating in the La Boca area. Tasty Argentinian grilled meat (choripan) but tough to compete after eating at Don Julio. Best empanadas we had the whole trip! Had to try some blood sausage. Found the texture and taste on inside to be alright. But the casing was very strange (rubbery almost). Probably more a preference thing. Very affordable pricing and good service.

Amazing quality of food an great service! The ojo de bife and vacío are a must! As soon as you walk through the door you can sense the good energy of the people working there. They make you feel like you are at home. It’s a must visit place in your next trip to La Boca!

Yelp
Solid food and wonderful atmosphere. This restaurant is a solid option for tourists who are checking out the La Boca neighborhood. Home to Argentinas rowdy and most loyal soccer franchise and the birthplace of Tango. The service is fast enough but not rushed. The only knock I have is food while food is decent but not exceptional and it comes with tourism pricing. Also you can smoke outside which annoys my wife and kids so that takes some blush off the rose of the experience for me.

Yelp
lots of people outside ordering sandwiches and waiting to be seated, the nice patio seating. other reviews recommended empanadas, but when we were ordering, the waiter said their empanadas are not the best, recommended sausage and ribeye steak. so we order all 3. sausage: made of beef and pork, on the salty side but probably is good in a sandwich (which they do have on the menu for to goes window only) empanadas: shredded beef with some potatoes, flavorful, the crust is dense, not the fluffy kind. steak: was good but not the best we've had. ambience is relaxed and lots of seating in the patio and there's a small inside area and upstairs area with shades. service was good when we were ordering but had to tell 3-4 different persons to get our checks as we couldn't find our own waiter.

Yelp
The Gran Paraiso is the place where you would go if you like stepping away from the hustle and bustle of the shops in La Boca. You wouldn't know of this place unless you researched ahead of time. If all conditions are good...request to sit outside and you're welcome in advance. Once you walk in, you are instantly greeted by the grill masters and can see the meat morsels being prepped for the lucky patrons ahead of you. I can't help but feel that those grills were strategically placed there to lure unsuspecting foodies. The outside sitting area is...I CANT FIND WORDS TO DESCRIBE. Let's just say it looks like the owner bought 5-7 house which are all attached to each other...demolished the walls, and now you have a giant courtyard filled with tables, chairs, and happy sounds. Best of all, it's not just the courtyard...even the balconies are connected so you have the choice of upstairs or downstairs. There's inside seating too. I don't remember what we ate....but it was BBQ meats of some kind...and delicious. But the serving vessel is like a portable grill so your meats are still cooking on your table. Eat them quickly as some of the meats may dry or overcook. We learned this the hard way. Also, high school level Spanish is a must. I can't stress this enough. Otherwise you may end up nodding to everything the waiter is saying and look silly. Took 1 star off really because of convenience. I understand we are in a Spanish speaking country and should know more Spanish...but to be 100% viable, there should be more staff that speak English.

Yelp
This is somewhat tucked away from the heart of El Caminito in La Boca, but this ended up being a great find! The scenery is beautiful here. Lots of people walked through just to take photos. The architecture along with object placement made it feel homey and rustic. I arrived right as they opened around 11AM, which is super early for portenos. The waiting staff seemed nice enough to me, but perhaps they could seem standoffish if it gets busy? I got the choripan supreme. The meat was juicy and full of flavor. The veggies were grilled but still had dinner texture to them. The bread was kinda dry and dense, so I had to soak it in chimichurri and olive oil to make a difference. The Empanadas here were Delicious! While the carne was great, the ham and cheese really hit the spot! Great flaky texture on the outside as well. The Tortilla de papa was pretty good, although I wasn't necessarily sure what to expect. I thought it would be a quiche, but in reality, in was like a thick French fry casserole. It's surprising how much adding olive oil on top enhances the dish. It's also a pretty hefty portion, so you will definitely be full afterwards. I didn't even finish it myself either.

Yelp
This place is very good. The staff is personable. The ambiance is amazing from the open grills you pass was you walk in to the garden seating with checked table cloths. Finally, this is a grilled meat lovers paradise.

Yelp
Our local tour guide Martin brought us visited this truly authentic local restaurant. Indeed needs someone to communicated with server Augusto because he knows some English. Outside seating : The weather is nice and total of nine of us ordered beef chorizo and sausage, salad, bread is free and water needs to pay. Food is so good and we cleaned up the plates totally. I even asked for the purple cabbage salad as extra side dish because is so refresh to the mouth. As a tourist: This place is definitely worth to go into the list to visit. We all enjoyed a relax noon meal . Augusto is the server helped us to ordered these such yummy food to enjoyed. This made all of us as Happy customers.

Yelp
Busy location. You can go in and sit down or you can order from a window and wait for your food. I ordered from the window. Its a very busy street where its located and the wait is a little long. I ordered a choripan. I loved it, the salty, smoky chorizo on a fresh bun. I topped it with chimichurri sauce and I couldn't stop eating it.

Yelp
We got lunch here and it was fine. The place is packed with tourists and i think our waiter was kind of over it, but the service and food were fine.

Yelp
Our last day in Buenos Aires and we found El Gran Paraiso in La Boca. Best steak we've found in Buenos Aires! Sides were great as well. Lucas was our server and provided outstanding service during our visit, and his recommendations were perfect. Highly recommend this place if you're visiting La Boca.

Yelp
Charming outdoor patio if it's a nice day. I had baked cheese, chorizo sausage, and salad. Decent food, great setting, but service was a bit too scattered and relaxed. I would go back with a group and spend an afternoon eating and drinking there. In a prime location in the Boca neighborhood.

Yelp
Best meal in BA. While it doesn't have the extensive wine menu and attentive English speaking wait staff of Don Julio, the food was better. It came in the wrong order but the taste made up for it. We had the skirt steak (best steak I've had in Argy) and pork chops first, then salads (both caprese and "completo") and finally the choripan (sausage sandwich) came out. Choripan was supposed to be the appetizer...but the bread was toasted just right and the sausage had better flavor than Chori's (the semi-fast food joint in Palermo that's overhyped). It's a cute setting, basically like someone's backyard, and felt just right getting away from the other overcrowded tourist aimed restaurants of La Boca. This place has a ton of 5* reviews on google maps already and I just wanted to do it justice on yelp.

Yelp
Skip all the tourist-trap restaurants on Caminito. NONE of them will compare to El Gran Paraiso--a truly charming, unexpected and all-round unforgettable restaurant experience. The entrance is totally unassuming: a large black grill with big slabs of meat, sausages and chicken, and behind it, another big black oven/grill working magic. I wasn't sure if it was just another sidewalk grill (there are several in La Boca, off of Calle Caminito) or if I was even allowed to enter the grill-filled corridor. Am I ever glad I did!! Past the grills is Gran Paraiso's secret "paradise"--a ridiculously charming enchanted garden patio filled with umbrella-covered tables, mosaic benches and colorful decor that'll have you taking pictures for the first 20 minutes. I ordered the skirt steak and salad of romaine, tomatoes and onions. My husband ordered ribs and a plate of grilled veggies (minus the cheese). Both were amazing and the proportions big and of course, perfectly cooked (medium rare)! The steak was pretty fatty, but I was perfectly fine cutting through it. My husband literally ate the ribs down to the bone! And pickled eggplant in olive oil and herbs that accompanied the meat was totally unexpected and SO good (our waiter was nice enough to give us an extra cup of it since he knew we loved it so much). Our waiter was great, too--so cheerful. In typical Argentinian fashion, he checked in on us only periodically, letting us flag him down if we needed something. I can only describe the experience as magical. If I could have bottled the moment I would have! This is the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely lunch in the most picturesque setting. (P.S. It was also a perfectly sunny day.) An absolute MUST!

Yelp
Beautiful setting, very friendly staff. Not kin of the Argentine meat, it has no flavor but loved the whole ambiance of being there
