That is not DOMINICAN CAKE NOR DOMINICAN KIPPE... ZERO STAR I place an order through DOORDASH App and when I was looking for Tostones and came across the DOMINICAN CAKE AND A KIPPE on their restaurant; I was very happy to find Dominican Cake and a beef kippe I even called the restaurant to ask if they have Dominican Cake before I place the order a( lady picked up the phone very nicely and I asked her if they have Guava cake and she said no only pineapple and Guava tres leches only, I said OK thank you). I processed it with my order on DOORDASH; say what? Food came poorly unpacked and I found POUNDCAKE WITH PINEAPPLE JAM OR JELLY on top AND A CHEESE KIPPE REALLY? NEVER AGAIN NOR I WILL RECOMMEND IT. ZERO STARS IF I COULD..

I always love Spanish food especially good Spanish food. Their food is always delicious every time I have come here for lunch

I placed am order through Uber eats for my husband who is in Jacobi medical center emergency room, the order was incomplete I paid $26 for a dinner of chicken with rice Beans plantains they sent chicken & plantains I tried to explain to 2 of the ladies that work there whom gave me nothing but attitude she kept running her mouth saying that's how the order came in on there end. I tried to explain to her OBVIOUSLY THERE IS A MISTAKE I did not pay $26 for chicken & plantains she continued to argue back at the end of the conversation she stated she will send the rice and beans and never sent it after explaining to her that my husband was not well and starving he was left with no dinner!!! this is unexceptable!! The worst restaurant I have ever come across!!

A neighborhood treasure. When I was designated the breakfast door dasher for my shift at work, I spent many mornings watching them clean the store. Before any meals were prepared, they'd wash dust and mop. It's a well managed and maintained establishment. The food is consistently fresh and good. If fried plantains or yucca is what you desire and they don't have any prepared. The chef in the back will prepare it for you (hand cut, not that stuff from the bag). The staff understand that all you got is 30 minutes for your lunch break so you gotta get in and out and their coffee is the best of all the Caridads in the area ...

I love this place! When i am too tired for dinner this is one of the places my S/O go to in order to pick up food that tastes sooo good, it tastes literally home cooked. It’s a home away from home. One of the best Hispanic and Dominican places i have every received food from, seconds to my S/O’s mother’s cooking…but that’s the love of a mother for you and to say it tastes home cooked, please take it as a compliment. I love ordering some extra to take some with me to work too so it feel like food i eat at home but at work, so i really feel like i am on break. This place is amazing!

I order here before but this time got me highly upset, like this server don’t have common sense or because I am black she don’t care about hygiene. She literally. Crawl on the floor fraternizing with another customer than perceive to handle my food afterward without washing her hand. I came home and throw my meat away cause like I am pregnant and I am not going to eat that and I am already having a bad day to argue with her. She should know better

I have been ordering for this restaurant for a while. I have ordered from this restaurant for years. The food has always been great. Under the new management they have kept the same quality. Rudelis is my to go girl, every time i call i asked for her, nonetheless everyone there is always super nice and friendly. Real authentic dominican food...the beans are always to die for, the pernil, the chicken...everything is always so good. For some of my business events we had cater from them. They really care about their quality and even with the inflation, their portions are still the same.

By far, one of my go to local spots. I love this place. Their coffee is delish!! I had the lemon chicken with rice and beans and a side of maduros! The food portions are never too small, and the food is always well flavored. Did I mention I love their cafe con leche?!

I decided to try El Imperial for lunch and was extremely disappointed. I ordered the Bacalao Guisado (stewed salt fish), which cost me $13--already overpriced considering salt fish is one of the cheapest fish you can buy, yet somehow it cost more than roasted chicken. When I opened my meal, I found there was barely any stew at all--just mostly dry, chewy salt fish on plain white rice. Anyone who knows this dish knows the whole point is the stew. To make matters worse, the salt fish itself was over-chewy, even by salt fish standards, and just not good. I actually had to drive back to ask for the stew, and while the server was polite, the explanation made no sense: I was told I "had to ask for it." It's stew salt fish--that should never be optional. Overall, this meal was a complete waste of $13. Between the poor preparation, lack of value, and disappointing experience, I won't be returning to El Imperial.

Food can use more seasoning. The ladies are nice. Prices have gone up. Lunches are now $10.

Very Good!! One of the best Latin restaurants in the northeast Bronx!! Good location, good food, good service & great atmosphere!!!
