El Jardín Restaurant

This is hands-down, the best Mexican restaurant in Colorado! I can tell you right now. I understand why it is a 10 time winner as Denver‘s a list best Mexican restaurant! I had the fajitas which were sensational. My husband had the smothered fajita burrito supreme, which was absolutely fabulous! We have been regulars here for years and service, atmosphere, and of course the food are all ranked higher than five stars! It’s a must stop!

This place is the bomb! The food is always fresh and flavorful, with generous portions at fair prices. The staff is friendly, and the management is classy — you can tell they care about quality and customer experience. Easily one of my go-to spots for Mexican food.

I love to travel and try food in different places. This place, hands down, had some of the best Carnitas I have ever had. Everything we had was delicious. Cute atmosphere and every employee was friendly and our service was great. Parking is a little tight, so be cautious if you have a bigger vehicle.

Honestly, and I don't say this lightly, top 5 Mexican restaurants I've been to in my recent memory. The rice and refried beans can go with anything and it'll feel so authentic like an abuela made it for the weekend cookout. So far been here twice in a week ordering the same fajita supreme burrito and they were both incredible. Can't wait to go back to try more of the menu. Margaritas are also huge and delicious. Fresh lime juice ties it all together.

Their green chili of various heat levels is great. It’s pretty awesome and they put it in the chili con queso (along with refried beans which was awesome and different). But I really enjoy the chicken fajita supreme burrito with extra hot green chili on top. We will be back to try more items. Very tasty! Recommend, especially if you are a fan of great green chili!

Brought the whole family for breakfast and it was great! Everyone enjoyed their meal, and we were shocked at the low price. Great food and a great atmosphere. The staff were great as well. I recommend it!

El Jardín is an overpriced dining option, whether eating in or taking out. The quality of takeout meals does not match the dine-in experience. According to both the manager and servers, portions are more generous for dine-in guests. We found the smothered portion to be insufficient significantly smaller than what is served in the restaurant. When we requested a full portion, we were informed that the kitchen chef, who is also a manager, declined to add more despite the price paid. Also, they have repeatedly forgotten to include the two bags of chips when ordering their costly guacamole salad, citing a policy of "one per order", yet the salsa and guacamole traditionally come with separate servings. Additionally, some staff members exhibit a lack of attentiveness, and management appears indifferent to customer complaints. Their business is thriving, so losing a few customers seems to make little difference to them. That being said, the food itself is good (apart from order mistakes), at least from what we’ve experienced. However, their customer service remains subpar.

This place is stellar!! The carnitas are so delightfully smokey, the queso has the craziest cheese pull I've ever seen and it's delicious to boot! The cha-mango margarita was GORGEOUS and tasted like one of the best mangonadas I've ever had. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service is the icing on the cake. They are well staffed with the friendliest servers and hostess, and the kitchen staff clearly knows what they are doing because their food is too die for all the way down to the last bite. The last time we were here we had a similarly perfect experience and the cucumber mojito was so refreshing.

Delicious will be returning to try more of the menu! Love all the classic wood look. Very nice location. This plate came with so much food I was happy with the portion!

El Jardin is the perfect example of Mexican comfort food. Dishes are made with simple ingredients but executed deliciously well. Located in Commerce City, its location is easy to find and there's plenty of parking. This place also has a bar. My family and i have been here several times and we have had the opportunity to try different dishes. And I can easily say that you can't go wrong with of the dishes that they serve.

Friday at noon for lunch. Parking was easy to find. Business definitely picked up more while we were there. A very big restaurant, looked like plenty of seating! Clean and easy to navigate through the dining area. Noise level was very tolerable as far as we could all hear each other talking, despite the room being full. I ordered the battered chile relleno with hot green chili and a house margarita. The food came out in a very reasonable time and was piping hot! I couldn't tell much texture on the deep fried batter due to the amount of green chili, but I won't complain about that one bit! A very delicious meal and super friendly staff. Yummy and tasteful! Parking lot available on site but it might get full. Friendly hosts and they sat our party of six quickly. We also went around 12PM on a Friday. I got a steak and fries. Steak was cooked to my liking and I thought was tasty! I got two sides and I chose fries for both. Fries were crispy and seasoned well! I'd never had a sopapilla till now so I was glad I got to try it hot and fresh! So light weight and fluffy! Drizzling honey on top was so yummy! I want to go back just for the sopapillas!

Always a good time! Wait is never more than 15-20 minutes, service is quick, and food is delicious! All of your authentic Southwestern and Mexican staples at a reasonable price. Ambiance is nice with lots of room for seating large parties. Margaritas are inexpensive and creative! The Sopapillas are the best and a must have!

My sister in law, wife and me ate at this restaurant. Service was excellent my wife had the Mexican hamburger, I had the ground beef chimichanga with hot green chili and my sister in law had the chili rellenos. All of our dishes were well received. We cannot say anything negative about the food or establishment. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere from the hostess to the waiter Daniel. We arrived before they opened and it got very crowded quickly once the doors were unlocked. The restaurant is very clean, including the restroom and you know what is said about a clean bathroom. if you're around Dicks soccer field and want some delicious Mexican food I highly suggest you go to El Jardin Mexican restaurant and even if you're not make the trip, you will not be disappointed.

Service was very good. Food was very good, like always. Only drawback, a crying, screaming baby that sounds like nobody tried to quiet the baby. Thankfully they left half way through our meal.

We had been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant and found it! If you want some good Mexican look no farther! During dinner time we only waited about 20-30 minutes for a table but the service was excellent! They were friendly, efficient, and the food was absolutely delicious! Absolutely will go back.

Working in Commerce City? This should be your first choice for lunch, but be careful... too many chips and large portions might wreck your afternoon productivity.

We have been eating at El Jardin for years, it's a 35 minute drive but has always been worth it. Never had a bad experience till now. We went there for Valentine's Day, my husband got the ground beef burrito with medium green chili and he said it had no flavor. I got the ground beef flautas with enchilada sauce, one of my favorite dishes, when I got it, it barely had any sauce and it was on the bottom, I told the waitress but she didn't understand, she was new there, I didn't recognize anyone there at all. Anyway she brought me a side of sauce, but my food had no flavor. When we got the check , I was charged $3.25 for sauce that should have been on my food to begin with. So very disappointed. It will be a long time before we make that trip again.

El Jardin is a large, attractive and popular restaurant. It was quite busy for lunch on a Thursday. The menu is extensive with daily specials, lighter dishes, combinations, burgers, etc. and the service was good. The complimentary chips and salsa were tasty. I ordered the Tacos de Carnitas. The serving was generous with 3 tacos containing a lot of tender shredded pork nicely presented along with rice and beans. However, unlike any carnitas I've had before, the pork tasted strongly of barbecue sauce which ruined the dish. The rice and beans were nothing special. I would consider visiting again, but would not order what is usually a favorite dish of carnitas.

Visiting some friends up this way and needed to grab a bite before a church event. He recommended this place, so I took my boys and headed over. Man, what a find!!! Really nice building, interior and overall vibe. Perfect for the family or a group. Food was outstanding, plentiful and tasty! Chips and salsa were good as well, which is always a good sign. Waitress was attentive and did a great job. We'll be back and bringing friends!

It was busy tonight but everything was wonderful. As soon as we were sat, our waitress was there asking for a drink order. Menu is really extensive. 4 pages of just entrees We split shrimp fajitas. It had 12 large Shrimp and lots of extras We still had enough left to have a Small amount for breakfast. Sopiapillas for desert were wonderful warm and tasty Angie was our waitperaon. She was terrific The restaurant is large and has lots of room for big groups. We watched groups of 7- 13 come in and all seat together The restaurant is super clean and tables are cleaned quickly after people leaveand done efficiently. They actualky have separate people to clean the tables so the wait staff doesn't have to. All the staff is friendly Great meal for a fair price

This is my ultimate #1 favorite Mexican restaurant in Denver metro area. They are a very nice, fun staff that runs a gorgeous Mexican restaurant. The food is the best in the west here. Portion size is double to share family style. I ordered the Pina Colada with Pablo's enchiladas and that's what I get every time I come here. The fajitas were at least a pound deep with grilled bell pepper and onions. A side of guac and sour cream, lettuce and tomatoes with tortillas. Just delicious and hands down to Manuala out fabulous waitress for making this dinner mentionable and outstanding tonight.

This place is pretty big and has a lot of seating. We came on a Wednesday night and were able to get seated right away. The service was really good and food and drinks came out fast. The perfect margarita was as very tasty. I ordered the seafood enchiladas and my friend ordered the steak tacos. The seafood enchiladas was good but I could barely taste the seafood so I wish they either had bigger chunks of crabmeat or bigger shrimp. It was tasty but I wouldn't order that dish again. My friend let me try her steak taco and that was good. Prices were pretty good.

I love this place! I feel like it's difficult to find good authentic Mexican food and this restaurant delivers every time. I love to get the smothered burritos and a piña colada. You cannot go wrong and they also provide you with yummy chips and salsa for the table.

I love the food at El Jardin, and we have been many times over the years. I highly recommend the sopapilla. Chips are great, although the salsa is a bit watery. Ambiance is nice. Mexicana. Reminds me of a nice restaurant I visited in Tijuana once upon a time. My biggest issue is that the last few times we've gone, there is always a long wait between when we're seated and we finally get served our food. Don't get me wrong, the staff is always very friendly, but I can easily get stuffed full of chips before my food ever comes because it's going to be some time.

I have visited El Jardin four times in two weeks. I just want to try everything. I know they've been around for a long time so I guess I'm late to the party. I have yet to be disappointed! The staff is friendly and welcoming. Lilian is an Angel! Tip her well. First I tried Pablo's enchiladas. The sauce is a white chicken cream sauce, which is a nice change from red sauce. The tamale plate is probably my favorite so far! The hot green chile is delicious and has the perfect amount of heat. And if you want something on the lighter side I recommend the fajita taco salad. Fajitas over greens in tortilla bowl with guac and sour cream to top it off. The steak picado is like beef fajitas smothered in green chile. Served with beans, rice, and tortillas. It was really good actually! It's one of their own creations. If you want cheesy smothered Mexican food I highly recommend this place!

The smothered burritos are total bomb Saturday was a little different but maybe that was my fault for not being specific at time of ordering my delish burrito Overall good experience not sure what the other food on the menu is like into I can get passed the awesome smothered burritos

It's been awhile. Chicken enchiladas with green chili and the jalapeño margaritas are bomb. Nothing healthy but oh so tasty. Great service too

Love it after all these years!!! Love the tostada platter and the queso dip. Wonderful margaritas too.

The food is really good here. My favorite is the cheese enchilada plate. I can't believe we only recently discovered this place. It's going to be our new lunch spot.

Decided on El Jardin, by driving past it & it was mentioned by a DJ on the radio, so we went... we got there about 45 minutes before closing & didn't want to be the "Last" customers, so we walked in along with 3 other groups going to eat as well.. we were greeted & seated very quickly, the waiter was "On it", took our orders & brought them out soon after.. I was very happy with my food.. the chips & salsa were yummy... no chunks of cilantro to make you think twice not too HOT so you wanna dip again!! My frozen margarita was delightful.. ordered burritos & enchiladas, with beans & rice, all smothered.. everything tasted Excellent.!! So I will be back!! I appreciated all the friendliness & attention & customer care that El Jardin employees provided during my experience!! A FANTASTiC Experience'. THANK YOU!!

Awesome food, one of the best Mexican restaurants I think I've ever been to! Was out of the way from my hotel but would definitely come back here next time I'm in the Denver area.

Excellent food and a variety of heat levels for their delicious green chili. The chili tells is are to die for, and their chicken chimichangas are amazing! Best selection of margaritas, made perfectly every time. The service is always outstanding as well. I've used their catering services, and everything came perfectly packaged with warming trays, and all of the food was fresh and delicious. Fantastic Mexican food all around. Try it, and you won't be disappointed! DF

Went with a friend for supper on a Monday. This is a great place to go with a group. There was no music and so could talk with table mates and staff without having to shout. While they were comfortably busy the service was spot on. The food was great with fresh seafood. My friend enjoyed her salad so much she got one to go.

Staff was kind, food is so terrible. Not authentic Mexican food. We ordered the enchiladas and mango fish tacos, and both dishes were bland. The beans taste like canned beans, the rice was stale, the enchiladas were lacking flavor, the walnuts in the strawberry walnut salad were stale, and the corn tortillas were cold. They don't have any salsa to go with your food and when you first get there the chips and salsa you get tastes like watered down Salsa Pace. The venue is beautiful and staff is welcoming. If you're looking for good, authentic food I would not recommend. There's a food truck a few blocks down with really tasty and authentic Mexican food off of Quebec and 60th that's called "Tacos Sabor Chilango".

Nice atmosphere and the staff was friendly. I found the seafood taco salad had too much heat, which covered the tastes of the plentiful shrimp. My wife liked the menudo and rice. My son wasn't a fan of the spicy guac on his burger but thougt the rest was OK.

Great comfort food. I have been coming to this spot for awhile never lets us down. Ordered bacon Breakfast Burrito smothered in green chili. Ordered Bacon Breakfast Burrito smothered in Green chili Also added a smothered chili relleno Always delicious.

Authentic mex in Commerce city. Off the beaten path but worth it. Green chili extra hot rocked my world. Good margs, service, atmosphere, portions. Hard to beat!

One of my all-time favorite restaurants if I have a choice, I get to come here tacos à la King are the bomb and sometimes they're only $10 for a plate. I love this place. I will keep coming here as many times as my husband will let me in a week.

Great Mexican... We come from Northfield (Central Park) to El Jardin. Food, service etc are all decent. Friday and Saturday nights can be a longer wait. Closed on Mondays...

Love El Jardin! Great chips and salsa, great carne asada (not pictured but tried some of my husbands) and I got a chicken dish that was smothered in green chili and came with rice, beans, guacamole and a pepper. It was such a large portion that I ate the other half for dinner tonight. Great value and delicious food.

Pretty good Mexican food. People really nice. I was a little confused on where the entry was and not knowing I parked in the back and a couple at a table told me where to go. But food pretty good. I would go back there.

El Jardín didn't disappoint! The cucumber and cilantro margarita was incredible (I ordered it with a few jalapeños for some extra spice!), full of flavor and perfectly balanced. The chips and salsa were delicious as the chips were delivered warm and the salsa was very fresh and tasty. Our main dishes were all fabulous as all 6 of us ordered different mains and everyone raved about how theirs was the best! The green chili sauce is a must, even as a topper to a main dish. The fajitas were presented steaming hot and the veggies accompanying them were plentiful! We were in the area for a sporting event and will definitely make our way back to El Jardín again soon!

I ordered chicken fajitas not only was it way too expensive but there hardly wasn't any chicken. The plate was loaded with veggies. I love vegetables so it's not that big of a deal however when you charge $20 you are expecting chunks of chicken not just a loaded plate of veggies and you have to dig for the chicken. If you're not gonna have an ample amount of chicken than the price should be way less!! I do not recommend ordering the fajitas!!!

I had the Chimichanga (hot green) and it was fabulous. Very tasty with delicious seasoning. The refried beans were special with extra cheese also delicious. Friendly atmosphere, Maria was very pleasant checking in. Really cute restaurant Very nice decor, warm and welcoming. Made my choice because the parking lot was packed and I now know why. Highly recommend El Jardin in Commerce City.

Best Mexican food in Denver after my mom's. It's delicious and noticeably better the other Mexican restaurants.

Usually my favorite Mexican food in the front range area, but not always consistent. Worth going to regardless, even with it's location. Best salsa I've found in Colorado. Try the Cha-Mango Margarita, it's awesome!

The service was good, and the staff super friendly. The place is really pretty decorated, however the food wasn't great. It's more of a Tex Mex restaurant then authentic Mexican food. But it's ok it's just too unhealthy.

El Jardin is now our go to for Mexican food!!! We have loved everything we have tried and never gotten a bad meal! The restaurant is always very busy with customers waiting for a table at all times during the day! The service and wait staff are amazing! The ambiance is a true stylish Mexican restaurant, with lots of wood and Mexican decor! The restaurant is always hoping but they never make you feel rushed! It's great for a casual meal or for a fun gathering! Great food, great service and great atmosphere!

We were told about El Jardin from a friend who lives in that neighborhood about 6 months ago. So thankful. It is our total go to restaurant/bar. Fav foods are the chips/salsa, sopapilla, breakfast burritos. mexican shrimp cocktail and anything Carnitas. Service is the best in Denver. We sit at the bar sometimes and in the dining area regularly. Gotta have a drink. They poor just right and the presentation of the drinks is the deal maker. Try it, you will like it!!
