The 23 Best Restaurants In Oaxaca - Oaxaca - The Infatuation

"There’s usually a line at El Lechoncito de Oro, a street vendor renowned for mastering the art of slow-cooked suckling pig. This tender, fatty meat is chopped and served in taco, tostada, or torta form. Always go torta since the bread absorbs part of the fat of the meat, and you can (and should) ask for it with crunchy bites of chicharrón. Whatever you choose, make sure to add a spoonful of green salsa to take your palate for a ride. It’s made with avocado and has just the right level of spice to straighten your bar-hopping night downtown without being overwhelmingly hot (if you have a low tolerance for spiciness, better to sit this one out). They have a few plastic benches for sitting, but everyone eats standing. This spot opens at 8pm and closes 4-5am, making it a perfect stop after mezcal tasting." - liliana lopez, mariana camacho

I came by here one night because I had been told that the food here is really good. They have a very limited menu and the only meat option is pork. I basically tried one of everything. Two tosatadas, two tacos and one torta. I will say they were all very good but the one thing that stood out to me was the tostadas. Those were the best to me. I liked the tacos and the torta but they did feel a little dry, especially the torta, even though it had sauce inside. Also, there is a rather long line that forms but it moves by real quick. I was surprised! People order fast and they don't order much either. You can take it to go or eat it there. They have a section behind the food truck where you can put your food down and eat it standing. It's very convenient. The workers are also really nice and efficient at what they do. They have some music playing while you're eating and it isn't too loud which I also enjoyed.

100% the best pork tacos in my humble opinion. My wife and I went there 3 nights in a row. I love spicy stuff so I asked for special salsa... so damn good.
