"If you haven’t tried Mexican-style antojitos (literally “cravings,” but more loosely defined as a collection of casual, often whimsical snacks), you’ve got several options in the Astoria area at food trucks, but El Limoncito is the first brick-and-mortar to specialize in this brilliant collection of street snacks. Think yummy fruit salads liberally tossed with spicy-sour Tajin seasoning; tortilla chips or ramen mixed with taco toppings; refreshingly fruity aqua frescas and giant milkshakes. A favorite is the mangonada, an ultimate slushy experience with cubes of mango, Tajin, chamoy tamarind sauce, and a variety of candy toppings. Many of the creations are called loco for their wild variety, but the timid won’t be unhappy with excellent carnitas street tacos, tamales, or a slice of creamy tres leches cake from the cooler. The snack shop shares a space with Safeway on busy Marine Drive; there’s parking and an indoor play area from the former fast food restaurant." - Jennifer Burns Bright, Alex Frane

Highly recommend!! We weren’t sure about the place at first because is connected to a subway! But oh boy! What a surprise when we got the food! It was really good! It tastes homemade! They make the food as you order which is great, it’s worth the wait!! Better than most Mexican restaurants! The husband and wife were really great to talk with! Clean and friendly place!!

Love it! Probably the best burrito I've ever had. I had a pork supreme with everything on it. Was only 13 bucks too!! I couldn't eat it all and have some for later.. thx for the pleasant atmosphere and play place. I appreciate your facility and WILL return again! Keep up the great work y'all!

Food was delicious! I had the super nachos and a mango, chili smoothie. There are alot of energy fruity beverages to try as well. Used to be the beach burrito, but if you want something just a little bit different, and delicious, give it a try!

Excellent carne asada! We got supreme carne asada tacos and a massive burrito. Both were excellent! Highly recommend!

I simply had the pork tacos, but the experience was enriching. As I was looking for a drink I got treated to try their fresh juices, pineapple, cantaloupe, and watermelon. All were great, but the cantaloupe caught me. Great meal. They also have a two store play gym here so it is a great place to bring the kids.

Hole in the wall, authentic Mexican food. Tastes great. No need to change the classics kind of establishment. Very limited seating. But there is a children's playground inside. So that's handy while you wait for your food to be ready. So happy we tried it out. Will be coming again. Also lots of classic Mexican dessert drinks and snacks.

In addition to the very solid carne asada bowl and chicken burrito we had, they have an even more amazing selection of Mexican snacks, sweets, and over the top drinks...loaded with toppings and extras, preparados, locos, etc. Service was friendly and they explained they are family-owned, from the same family as Monte Alban down the road (Oaxacan-style Mexican).

Simply the best. About 4 cups of strawberries in the Fresa Con Crema and I had the MazPan . However the burritos were bigger than a football. My ricebowl with pork incredible!
