21 Picture-Perfect Hotels in Mallorca, From Historic Castles to Wellness Hotspots

"With a sky-skimming infinity pool—the longest in Palma—bringing the Balearic sea right up to the feet of the Balinese sunbeds, El Llorenç’s rooftop is glorious. Around the corner from Palma’s historic hammams in Parc de la Mar, this hotel refracts the medieval heritage of its La Calatrava location through an ultra-contemporary lens. Swedish designer Magnus Ehrland used 27 different geometric tiles in the space, all versions of the Arabic star. During construction, architect Pedro Rabassa found an 11th-century Moorish oven in the foundations. Ehrland designed without dogma, freely adding botanical splashes: local Santanyi stone pillars and Versailles-style parquet floors are playfully mixed with quirky, palm-print carpets, peacock chairs, and feather headdresses. Sense of place is established with photographs of Palma, an exotic green-tile basement pool and hammam, and Tannur restaurant, which serves up hearty Mallorcan food. Meanwhile, DINS is a fine-dining experience by island chef Santi Taura, who deconstructs historic local dishes." - Roxy Kavousi-Walker, Stephanie Rafanelli

Fabulous base for our 2 nights in Palma at the end of our Mallorca week! From the moment we arrived at the Llorenc the staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable.|We stayed in a superior suite adjacent to the roof terrace with gorgeous infinity pool.|The room was ultra-modern…. In fact so high tech that we needed a master’s degree to work the lights! The bathroom was divine with beautiful Le Labo toiletries.|The bed was incredibly comfortable & the aircon very quiet.|Breakfast wasn’t included. I had it on our final day & it was superb with many healthy options on the buffet & stunningly presented.|The weather was very good so didn’t use the Spa but it looked really good & wd be a welcome option if the weather was poor.|The Hotel location just over 12 mins to the cathedral & city centre is excellent.|A pricey Hotel choice but well worth splashing out to stay here…. Would love to return!

We were looking for a 6 day break in a 5 star hotel with, hopefully, a bit of sunshine thrown in. We were recommended to the El LLorenc by a friend. This hotel is located in a very quiet area of the city with views over the bay. The really outstanding feature of this hotel is the service that you get from the universally friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble for them. If we were seated in the ground floor bar and we wanted something that was only available from the roof top bar that was where it came from. If we asked someone to organise a driver to take us to Soller and to recommend somewhere for lunch that just happens and the restaurant booked for us was exactly as we hoped it would be.|The rooms were kept perfectly, the beds were so comfortable that on our first night there we didn't wake up until 0830, unheard of.|The roof top sunbathing area with the Urba Restaurant and the Pool Bar facilities were excellent. The only proviso I would add would be that when the hotel was busy in the afternoon you might find yourself struggling to find an available sun bed.|The only suggestion that I would make is that, although the food served was excellent, sometimes, after a few days, you tire of elaborate food and all you would like is a simple sandwich or something of that sort. That did not seem to be available meaning a 15 minute walk into the old town to find a cafe that would provide that sort of fare.|Apart from that, an amazing experience.

Was here for six nights in May. Wonderful stay. Well designed and nicely decorated hotel close to the Cathedral in Palma. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooftop area. Good food. Gym is small but functional. Great base from which to explore the incredibly beautiful island. Staff were very helpful in providing feedback on our sightseeing options and in helping to arrange dinning. Very happy.

My wife and I came here for our honeymoon. We had an amazing time using all this hotel has to offer. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. The food (brunch, and rooftop menu) were superb and some of the best hotel food weve ever had. The rooftop alone is amazing- pool overlooking the water and nearby area. Cabanas were lovely. Spa was great- massage was awesome and facilities were impeccable. Lastly, the room was finely designed and had a luxurious feel. Not to mention 15 minute walk to the old Part of Palma. Love this place!

This small, luxurious hotel is not to be missed. Situated in a very quiet area of Palma just a 3 minute walk from the cathedral we enjoyed a week of sheer bliss. Never have we experienced such a caring team who looked after our every request with a smile. The accommodation is comfortable and the architecture is very attractive with light wells giving a different perspective to a patio view. If we return, which we plan to do, we would pay extra for a sea view overlooking Palma Bay. The rooftop pool is small but well laid out with sun beds and restaurant/bar. The food is varied and delicious as are the cocktails. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending El Llorenç to everyone.

Fabulous boutique hotel in a great location just next to the cathedral. Interiors feel both contemporary but also classic with wooden flooring and marble. Really attentive, friendly staff. We loved the roof terrace pool and bar area. Excellent spa and gym. Highly recommended!

Left today. Alessandro was wonderful. That guy breathes customer service. And he gave us a few good recommendations for food. The rooms are beautiful. Bathroom beautiful. Everything was clean. They didn't bother us which is what we like. We just wanna do our own thing. Quiet place. Black out curtains are nice. Would 100 percent go again.
