Mexican Food in Bellevue WA (2025)
El Maestro del Taco

Oliver Lee

Google
Got our food within 3 minutes of ordering, tacos were the single most flavorful bites I’ve ever had. Easily the best taco place in the area. (Also very good value, especially compared to most other food places in Seattle)

Alan Wong

Google
Is this worth driving from Seattle to Bellevue to get? Yes. What makes these special is the quality of the meat and tortilla. The braised cabesa, lingua, and carnitas are done so perfectly to be tender without being dried out. The corn tortilla is flavorful with lard, not usually seen. Get these.

Sakshi Goynar

Google
We had Chicken tacos and veggies taco. Best chicken tacos I had. Chicken is well cooked and tacos are all well cooked. On veggie tacos, they put rice, refried beans, avocado, lettuce, onion. Sooo gooood.

Google
The food was amazing we literally got everything on the menu but the #9 😅 the flavors were all there and also in the salsas. I have a higher spice level so if the salsa was a little spicier it would have been better for me. To me it was more a mild - no spice but again my spice level is on another level.

1,000th Reviewer😅 This place is very amazing and the food is the best Mexican food I’ve had as a non-Mexican. The beef Burrito was very good, with enough fillings in it. I noticed a lot of people were ordering the drink in the cup, and I had to ask the cook what it was and he was really nice in explaining that it is a drink made up of rice, cinnamon, and milk. In essence, the “Horchata” was also really worth the price.

Google
I gobbled the tacos as if it was my last day on earth lol, REALLY delicious food. We work nearby and love getting tacos from here. One day, if I have more time, I would like to sit and enjoy my food there. Looks so inviting. Thank you for the delicious tacos (-: 3 tacos, 2 tortas, and a large Mexican Coke were $24 bucks. Very nice and affordable prices.

Google
Good location to buy food for the hard working crew. Portions are really small compared to other similar truck food. Prices are a bit higher than other trucks due to the small portions of food. My Crew complain they are still hungry after they finish their food from this place. Other trucks give you big portions as a normal regular size for lesser price, or same price. Food tastes good, that what the crew said, but too small. So will come back here, because it is near by, and the crew like this type of cusinie & food, and I don't want keep driving around looking for a bigger ,better value. So it is a compromise. So I have to buy double of everything. Then it becomes way too expensive really quick. But the drinks are at a rip off prices. $2.00 for a can of soda. $3.50 for a little bottle soda does not matter what the brands is. But for sure if I had the time, I would drive to get better , bigger food for my crew Gota make the crew happy, so they can be productive Clean ,comfortable outdoor seating, But can't see inside the truck where food is being warmed & prepared so can not comment on the hygiene. Hope & wish for the best

Google
This taco truck is one of my favorite so far. On my route to trying all the food trucks in the Seattle area I think so far this one is my favorite. I gave it a 4 because there is always room to improve, the service was amazing and the parking when i got there was relatively easy although i can see it getting really packed because the lot is really small and is not their lot. But you get quite foot traffic from adjacent businesses. Great dining tabling and as you can see i usually order the same 4 Tacos that way i can judge them equally. But if i see a popular item im definitely trying it because its usually what they are known for. So again i got asada, chicken, barbacoa and al pastor. Its odd i still havent seen anyone here in the region do their al pastor with pineapple at least a food truck. I have reviewed a restaurant with pastor with pineapple but it was can pineapple so not counting that. Maybe is an east coast thing and in Mexico? Regardless tacos were really amazing. Most favorite the asado and least favorite chicken and al pastor. Thank you all for reading again. Have an amazing day and go and check out El Maestro del Taco if you're in the area

Yelp
do you curse or moan when you encounter good food? Because I'll tell you, I did both. the beef cheek tacos were so flavorful, and the chicken was soft, melt-in-your-mouth heavenly. I drank that sauce at the end. I licked the paper plate, and then I wanted to eat the plate too because it still had flavor on it. Glad that your order comes out fast, and they're a bunch of friendly guys in a truck. I love that the seating area is covered, and the tables and chairs are kept clean (thank you guys!) I will drive through a dessert for these tacos. I will climb a mountain for these tacos, and I hate hiking. I will be back for more items on their menu, because this flavor is exceptional.

Yelp
This place came up in a YouTube video about Seattle's best Taco's. I knew where the place was because I was here years ago. I can't say exactly when, but I would guess it's been 5 years and that said, I don't know if it was these guys or a different truck, but it was this location. I remember not being impressed, but it wasn't the worst. They did a couple things really well on this visit and a couple things not so well. The good was the price, the burrito was $10. In a place where everything is overpriced, these guys are smart enough to control the portion and price while still offering value. Service was fast and friendly for a place that stays busy. What I didn't care for was the presentation, when I removed the foil, my burrito was not wrapped well, it was completely open which made eating difficult without expecting a mess. There was also something really tart/tangy inside that ruined the flavor of the burrito. I'm going to assume it was a pickled jalapeno and I hate anything pickled, so it was not expected. I expect protein, beans, rice, cheese and salsa, anything else should be called out or asked for. There was also limited meat, but for $10, you can't expect a meaty burrito. By no means life changing and I wouldn't put them on a "Best of" list. I think Guadalajara on 24th and 148th does a better burrito. I haven't been there in a while, so I don't know if pricing compares, but the flavor at Guadalajara is far better. This would have been a 3 but the combination of the sloppy burrito and pickled flavor drops them down to a 2 for me. If this was my neighborhood, I'd give them another shot, but it's not a destination location and next time I'm in the area, I will certainly return to Guadalajara.

Yelp
I have been going here for many years now and have seen the changes in service, food quality, and rising prices (it used be $1.50/taco, now, $3.00/taco - which is a bit expensive for tacos). I loved the food here so much that I would recommend people to come here. However, in my last couple of visits, the food has been inconsistent and the service has not up to previous par. And in those visits, I always ask for extra limes and sauces when ordering, and then I don't receive them, and result in having to ask again, receiving only 1-2 in quantity (which feels a bit conservative given the prices). I am very disappointed in their recent changes and hope they would improve it. While the tacos are good, there are plenty of other great options in close proximity with reasonable prices and comparable quality.

Yelp
Holy shit this is the best tacos on the east side of Seattle no contest so far. Providing is also quite fair. Street parking around the truck. Cut approved Pro: get the lengua, carne asada, al pastor and you'll be set. Salsa and radishes fresher than any fade your barber can give you Cons: little long of a wait but you can't rush good food. Portions smaller than I would like.

Becca H.

Yelp
If flavor had a PhD, El Maestro del Taco would be running the university. Every bite tastes like someone's abuela personally blessed it before it hit the plate. The tacos are packed with juicy, perfectly seasoned meat, the tortillas are fresh and soft (none of that dry store-bought nonsense), and the salsas? Let's just say they don't play -- spicy, bold, and absolutely addictive. I've been here multiple times, and the consistency is unmatched. Whether it's the asada, al pastor, or birria, every dish hits. Service is quick, the vibe is chill, and the portions are generous enough to make you question your life choices after the third taco -- but in the best way possible. If you haven't eaten here yet, fix that immediately. El Maestro del Taco doesn't just serve tacos -- they serve therapy wrapped in a tortilla.

Yelp
I'm always on the hunt for local taco trucks and this may be my new favorite! It's no surprise that in 2021, it was voted the 85th best place to eat in the US according to Yelp! Interestingly, this truck sits in a private lot, with reserved parking spaces and even a few tables of sheltered seating. A couple of the tables even had heat lamps above them, so we could comfortably eat outside on a chilly rainy day. These types of accommodations are so rare for a food truck, and I'm grateful that we were able to enjoy our tacos fresh rather than having to take them to-go. After ordering, our food was served relatively quickly and I could tell the meat and tortillas were hot off of the flattop. I got four tacos each with a different meat since I'm all about the variety! They are sold individually at $2.75 each. + CARNE ASADA: The beef was lean, tender and nicely grilled with a bit of char. + CABEZA: So succulent and the meat completely spoke for itself. No spices, salt nor salsa needed! + ADOBADA: This spiced marinated pork was perfectly savory, balanced with a slight sweetness. + CARNITAS: Unfortunately, this shredded pork was on the drier side and there wasn't a ton of flavor, so I sadly didn't love this one. For purposes of trying the salsas, I poured some on a couple bites of each taco, but none of them truly needed it except for the carnitas. The red one definitely packed a punch, while the green one was fresh and bright. The menu could use a redesign since some of it is permanently crossed out and a couple labels are peeling off the truck, but I can easily overlook that. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality of the food. They also have various snacks, treats and drinks for sale. I also can't help but mention that their truck even has a little sink station with soap, paper towels and hand sanitizer... they really have it all! Looking forward to coming back again the next time I'm craving tacos (which is often)! 4.75 stars.

Yelp
This place was really good. I really like that avocados with the quesadillas. It was nice to meet the owner son and I found out they have three locations. Great service. ! quick service!

Yelp
Gas not ass. Cop don't drop. Bump it, don't dump it. Massive W, Amazing Tacos. Highly Recommend.

Yelp
Super yummy and super fast. I ordered a carnitas burrito and it was amazing. Would recommend and will be coming back!

Yelp
Boy am I glad this place exists. It's a walking distance from our neighborhood so it's very convenient for a quick meal. You know it's good because there are always people in line, as well as eating at the tables under the small but convenient covered area. Parking is limited since the truck uses a small parking lot adjacent to a church. Most of the time folks are taking food to go, so I've never had to wait - just something to keep in mind. There isn't really a backup place to park if you're coming from afar. Food wise - I've tried many of the offerings such as tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and my favorite, the mulitas (new to me, but like a small, cheesy quesadilla). All of them are excellent! I hope this place sticks around for a long long time.

Yelp
Delicious, quick, kind staff, affordable -- this taco truck has it all. It's tucked away in East Bellevue. They have a bit of outdoor seating if the weather is nice, but I typically order it as takeout. On the days I don't want to cook or when I'm driving through, it's always worth a stop. I'm a fan of the carnitas, asada, and adobada tacos. If you're in the area, swing by! Best tacos around.

Yelp
El Maestro has been on my list of food trucks to visit since they made Yelps top 100 list in 2021, so today was the day and it definitely lived up to my expectations. The sopes were perfectly prepared as were the toppings (chicken). Yep, super delicious delicious and now I can't wait to go back. They would have earned one of my rare 5 star reviews, except for the styrofoam takeout containers and plastic bag. The food warranted it, though. Everything was perfectly seasoned, without being too salty, which can be hard to find these days. And I loved the toppings and ever so slight crispiness to the sope.

Gail C.

Yelp
Called for price for tacos for a party and the manager Manuel said he would call back. He never called, never responded to messages or text. If he can't do this type of food for a party just say so. Poor customer service. Will not eat here.

Yelp
Estos son los tacos mas chingones que he comido en toda la area de Bellevue/Redmond/Kirkland/Seattle. Este lugar siempre sera mi favorito. Best godamn tacos i've ever had in the eastside, Period. I bring all my white friends here am the time and they love it. I've even brought other Mexicans and they've rated the tacos as some of the best. Don't eat the jalapeños if you can't handle heat because they're burn you a second hole lowkey. Favorite taco truck ever though for sure. Please try out their asada tacos and get yourself a Sangria soda or an Horchata
google avatar

Chi D.

Yelp
I've come here multiple times for take out now. Their lengua tacos are my go to, because they are very delicious, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Their horchata is some of the best in the area and it's made to be drank with ice. If you ask for it without ice (which I generally do), you can cut it with extra milk and still get a TON of flavor. Burritos are also very tasty, although not as big as some other food trucks. Prices are reasonable, and I appreciate that they have hand sanitizer, a hand washing station, and tables under the shade.

Cooper W.

Yelp
Have been coming here for over a year, best place in bellevue to get not only yummy and delicious tacos but amazing burritos! They are always so friendly and have great customer service. Excellent place; would rate 10/10 if i could.
google avatar

Jackson J.

Yelp
I got the adobada taco and it was very pleasant. The truck is parked with a small amount of parking in a tight lot, but the cashier in the truck took my order promptly and accurately and it was only a short wait before I could enjoy my tacos.
google avatar

Richard P.

Yelp
Delicious tacos, with awesome, friendly, generous staff and owner. Would most certainly highly recommend!

Sky R.

Yelp
A gem trucked away in a nice little spot. The food was outstanding and definitely stands out amongst the sea of generic taco places around. Cooked beautifully and seasoned precisely I'd come back for the food alone, but I love the fact that they got their own little parking area & table setup. When weather permits it's excellent spot. Service rounded it out to perfection - Super friendly and fast. To top it off the price is great so an easy 5/5.
google avatar

Gina N.

Yelp
I'm not a fan of tacos, but these tacos are amazing! They are obviously best when they are fresh, but I've had them an hour or two later and they're good, too. The reason why I know is I usually have my brother in law pick them up for me during work and bring them back home an hour away. That's how amazing they are! It can be a little cold when you're eating at the food truck, but they have heat lamps and some chairs, benches, and tables for you to enjoy your food. We just had it even though I was FREEZING, and it was so worth it!

Yelp
This is the first of my most frequently visited restaurants that I needed to write a long overdue review for. I walk to the El Maestro del Taco truck maybe once a week around lunch time and order 3 asada mulitas to go. I was feeling particularly hungry today for dinner, so I decided to treat myself to 4. It comes with a good amount of lettuce and some tomato, radish, and avocado. The meat to cheese ratio is great, and I love how some of the extra cheese on the sides gets nicely crisp from the grill. I'm feeling really well fed right now. We also ordered some asada and carnita tacos, which are also solid choices, but the mulitas are the standout for me. As for the salsas... I really love the green salsa, but the red, runnier one doesn't really do it for me. That's just my preference though. The staff are always super approachable and efficient. In the past, they've given me some extra grilled onions when asked, which I really appreciate (please make sure to tip if you do this!). Finally, for LA folks, these tacos/mulitas do satisfy my street taco cravings, and while I wouldn't say the prices are the same as in LA, they're great for the Bel-Red area. Alright, 4th mulita food coma is taking over, so overall, I highly recommend El Maestro Del Taco and will continue to be a repeat customer.

Yelp
If you didn't know, El Maestro del Taco was #85 on Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in 2021 (https://blog.yelp.com/2021/02/yelp-community-names-top-100-places-to-eat-in-2021). This list is how this place came onto my radar so I decided to give it a try. This is a food truck that is next to a church of all places! There is one entrance on 156th Ave and one on Northup Way. The entrance to the food truck is on the latter and if you go to the corner you'll see signs to turn on Northup Way and you'll see the food truck. There are some parking spots in the small lot as well as some covered tables right in front. I ordered 2 asada tacos, 2 adobada tacos, and 1 cabeza taco ($2.25 each). I thought the adobada taco was okay but the asada and the cabeza tacos were delicious! I'd definitely recommend getting those if you try this place out. They came with a red and green sauce, and I really liked the spicier red sauce. I also like the small addition of cooked sliced onions along with the crunchy raw onions on the tacos as well. These are great affordable tacos that are worth a try or two!
google avatar

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
I got the carnitas burrito and it was perfectly mediocre. The meat was fine but not very flavorful. The other burrito ingredients were fine to bland. And the red salsa was tasty but it was frozen solid when I got it!
google avatar

Huong L.

Yelp
Rating is actually 4.5 :) After seeing this on Yelp's top 100 and it being so close by, we had to come and check them out! They are located near a church and have a parking on site which is nice. They even have some tables and chairs that you can sit as well! We ultimately did 3 trips to order our food hahahahha Round 1: we originally was going to order the tacos, so we got one of each protein: - carnitas --- a little dry in my opinion, but still decent -adovada ---- this one is a lot better, juicy, flavorful, tender - lengua ---i feel that they cut these a little too small for me to appreciate the tenderness and juiciness of the meet, still good flavorful -asada and cabeza --- these were really good, i can taste more flavor with these than the lengua -chicken -- standard - rice and beans on the side --- really good price for the portion and good flavor. At first glance, i thought these were a little pricy for the tacos, but they do stuff each tacos with proteins and other fillings. i also love the packing and how pretty it looked. Round 2: after the tacos, i didn't feel as satisfied as i thought i would, so I decided to order an adovada mulita. OMG this was sooooo good, i love this, it was like a mini quesadilla filled with pickled veggies, meat and cheese. For the same price as the tacos, this is a steal, and this is probably one of the main reason for the higher rating. Round 3: Since the mulilta was soooo good, we decided to order one more thing: the asada sopes. This was pretty good as well, it was filled with so much beef and beans. The sope itself wasnt as crunchy as I'm use to, but it's still pretty good. OVerall, I want to go back to try their torta and burrito but I can see why this place is so popular. You get a filling meal for 2 for around $20, that is really good.
google avatar

Jboogie L.

Yelp
The tacos (abododa and steak) were decent. They had radishes on top but wish they piled in more of the meat. It was $2.50/one. The burrito was okay ($8.50). I prefer the burrito at Senor Taco in Bellevue more. I didn't try the quesadilla. It's truck is located at a church parking lot. There are ample spaces (8 or 9 spots). There are some seats and I see people waiting in line to order food. They take cash or credit. They are pretty fast with the order.

A B.

Yelp
Loved the carne asada sopes and rice and beans. I'm from Texas and this is authentic Mexican food. Will go again while I'm visiting here. My daughter's boyfriend said this is the best Mexican food he has eaten here in Bellevue.
google avatar

Chase M.

Yelp
Best tacos I've had in the greater Seattle area. asada, adobado, and pollo all fantastic.
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
They have the best taco, in many varieties, and best price! Beef, chicken, pork, thong, lamb... If you are looking for authentic Mexican tacos, this is the best place to try! One of our favorite options for take out during covid-19.

Wang L.

Yelp
10 for 3 tacos Really a good deal Cheek and beef tongue are specially good Most of all is cheap and quick

Arnold M.

Yelp
The asada is so on point the flavor makes you think you're at an actual taqueria in Mexico. The service is above and beyond exceptional it's great!!! What can I say it's food truck it's all good. I really say stop by and give them ago..
google avatar

Lorraine I.

Yelp
I love them soooo much The food is authentic And the service is fantastic I mean super super good It's like coming back to your hometown They see you grownup that kind of nice Make me feel home Beef tongue gooooooood
google avatar

Jaehyung C.

Yelp
Amazing local taco truck! I've been here 4 times now, and I really enjoy their carne asada tacos ($2.50 each) with the salsa verde. Food comes out fairly quick, and ordering is a pleasant experience. Great local food truck, definitely will return many more times.
google avatar

Zac D.

Yelp
Got the carne asada burrito and it hit the spot. The meat was flavored well and was balanced with the other elements of the burrito. The one thing that wasn't my favorite was the amount of lettuce inside. I thought it was too much in some bites and brought down the value of the size of the burrito a little. Overall, good burrito and quick service. A note though, maps may tell you to go into a side street to park at the church this truck is next to. You don't need to do that, and can pull in right next to the truck on the main road.
google avatar

Guadalupe R.

Yelp
The tacos were so delicious and the service was great! They have outdoor seating or you can take your order to-go.
google avatar

Oliver G.

Yelp
I love sopes. These were hearty, maintaining a crisp edge, but with some softness such that you're not eating a big tortilla chip. The chicken tacos were spicy, don't get extra hot sauce unless you just like hot sauce. The chicken was flavorful and plentiful. I was grateful that they provided a hand washing station to clean up after my meal. There are a few tables under cover so some even if it's raining.

Sean L.

Yelp
I got two tacos. One cabeza and one adovada. Best tacos I ever had. The only drawback was they gave me mild taco sauce. Just because I like cheese and sour cream doesn't mean I can't take the burn. They should have taken the hint why I ordered the cows face.
google avatar

Z K.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite taco place ever!!! I usually order their beef carne asada mulitas and their beef tacos - 11/10! Everyone working is really friendly and service is really good. Would highly recommend to everyone
google avatar

Karen M.

Yelp
Best tacos and horchata. People were so nice to talk to. They let us sample cow tongue and cow cheek... If I were a local I would go there all the time
google avatar

Brooke A.

Yelp
This Taco Truck was the talk of my office for a while before I finally decided to give it a try. It was a convenient walk to a central location, complete with an open, clean outdoor dining area. Service was fast, which is surely appreciated by the many office workers who have made this their lunch go-to. I ordered a carne asada burrito, which was the perfect balance of filling but not so heavy that I couldn't go about the remainder of my workday as usual. I'd love to come back to try their tacos!
google avatar

Alicia R.

Yelp
Ive been coming to them for YEARS. Since I was a teen. The lady recognizes me every-time I come. Hands down the best taco truck Ive ever been to in the PNW. The food is always perfect and fast! Staff is always super friendly, great vibes. Their patio area is awesome, even has patio heaters now that its winter and it doesn't even feel cold if you decide to sit down and eat. The BEST dont even go anywhere else.
google avatar

E R.

Yelp
A fantastic vegan burrito! Amazing taste and quality. Their service is wonderful and totally understand how to make the best burrito in town!
google avatar

Ronald W.

Yelp
My new go to pandemic takeout, outdoor seating food. I've been going a couple times a week for the cabeza burrito which is always bursting at the seams that I eat it like a jumbo taco with the red hot sauce which is pure fire.

Misty D.

Yelp
Best tacos in the area! I'm from Southern California and this is my go to. The service is always very quick as well.
google avatar

Chrissy S.

Yelp
Best tacos I've tried in Seattle. I miss the taco trucks in California so we are willing to make the drive. Their carne asada burritos are so yummy. Al pastor tacos are delicious as well.
google avatar

Ali A.

Yelp
Best Tacos in Bellevue. Hands down and no arguments. We've been eating from them for the past several years and never had a mix up or bad food.
google avatar

Alex N.

Yelp
Staple in the Bellevue area!! This place is fucking fire been going to this truck since they first parked across from Bartells! Highly recommend this joint.
google avatar

Luke K.

Yelp
Great little spot! A burrito with guacamole included for $6.50 on the East Side?!? Sign me up! I had the marinated pork adovada burrito, and it was ready in less than a minute. The style seems to be more "Taco Bell" (it has lettuce and a grocery store-style tortilla) than typical taco truck burrito, but still delicious. I wish the tortilla was the more traditional chewy kind instead of the white puffy kind, but that's all I'd change. Highly recommended for a quick bite, I'll be back soon to try more stuff! Your GPS might map you directly to the corner of Northup and 156th, but the truck is a bit further up the street.
google avatar

Haneul R.

Yelp
hands down the best taco truck in bellevue. I used to visit this place frequently in high school, and still come back on the occasion that I crave a really good burrito or taco. I love both and don't think you can go wrong with anything here on the menu. outdoor seating is available so thats a plus if you wanted to eat here, but I usually grab my food to-go. the owners are also super nice and generous! Back when I came pretty frequently, they would remember me and offer me a free horchata or quesadilla every few visits. definitely give is a try if you're in the area and support them!!
google avatar

Melanie A.

Yelp
Best taco truck in Bellevue. I go back and forth from the tacos and the sopes. Everyone who works there is really nice, I usually call ahead to save time. Order is always correct and fresh.
