Late review but I have time now to say...DONT COME HERE! If you do, be prepared to wait over an hour in line to go in, parking is $20 (understandable), but entry is $40 a person?!?! Cash only?! That’s $100 already if you bring someone plus drinks and all be prepared to get ripped off. Seats are trash. Dance floor is small. It’s really not worth it.

Work experience ever . $60 each person for entry. Not to mention the dance floor is very small from what it used to be back when it was called rio nilo. $20 for a adios. Everything is over priced. Not to mention I was dancing with my sister in a small dance floor a lady got bothered and pushed me I reacted and I was the one that the security grabbed with excessive hold and took me out without being allowed to go get my phone or wallet from the table I paid for over $300 with bottle service . Best believe I will be accusing them of harassment DONT NOT COME HERE

Late review but... Whatever you do, DO NOT PULL CASH OUT OF THEIR ATM! ITS A SCAM! My girlfriend and I tried to pull $200 out, machine never gave us the money. Thought we’d try again and same thing! We lost $400 total! I asked the manager for a refund and instead we got kicked out! So unprofessional. I disputed 2xs with our bank and both times we got denied reimbursement because this place provided “proof” or “transaction receipts “ that showed we “got the money” both times! Please avoid this place. It’s a total scam.

Beware of the false advertisement as to when you can get “inside” the club and the multiple owners and managers at the entrance that cannot provide their names. The bouncers keep adding tables to the dance floor to accommodate new guests until the dance floor is filled with no space left to move. Overall bad service where employees have no interest in customer service.

This place pretty much sucks!! I tried making a reservation for 10 and they had a minimum of 4 bottle purchase at $230+ each...and we're heavy drinkers but we're not balling like that. They gave us price by phone and at the door it was more. There's no where to sit, no where to dance!! We tried getting a refund and they said NO! The reason for no dance floor was that it was a "concert". Oh yeah concert with no place to sit, just stand around anywhere you fit. NEVER GOING BACK!!!

They talk too much for what they charge. Less talking, more music to dance. No one is dancing 😑 Bring cash or pay $5 fee to use a card. Place is too expensive 🤷‍♀️ looks nice but dancefloor is fairly small.

Great place to go but you must reserve ahead of time..If you like to listen to Spanish Mexican music this is the place to go. It gets heavy pack when famous singer comes but you can reserve ahead of time and get a good VIP table. You can reserve to number provided above😊

This place is a scam. I came Friday night and had the text message saying all girls in for free. When I got to the door, they wanted to charge $60 each. They said the text wasn't from the promoter so it didn't work. I told them we paid $400 for bottle service for my friend's birthday and the door man said that doesn't cover the entrance fee, which is totally stupid. The club was dead at 11pm and people were leaving. I could see why this business is dying.

I found out about this place from a friend I met on Instagram. She used to promote for this club, and she was having a birthday party that evening. I decided to stop by and say hi, while checking out this place for the first time. I got here pretty early, as I didn't want to bother with lines. Parking was found at the back of the building, and it is $20 to self-park. The lot is huge, a bit dark, but I saw security and one police car patrolling the area. Entrance was toward the front of the building, and it was a $30 cover charge. Cash only for the cover charge, FYI. Walking in, I noticed how big this place is. The music was on the right where I entered, and tons of private seating to the left. There is one bar near the entrance, with an abundance of seating. There's another bar at the far end of the club, also with abundant seating, near the restrooms. Drinks were not bad here, I tipped the bartender well so he hooked me up. The lighting in this place gave it a very lively feel. The folks here were friendly, both the patrons and the staff. There were nice sights to see, and more so in the private seating areas. There were multiple people celebrating their birthdays that evening, and the staff here brought out a giant board with lights and the persons name on it. The host was also doing shoutouts from the stage. The music here is Mexican country, or Norteño. While I usually don't listen to it, it is fun to dance to. I don't know how to dance to it, but I did my best nonetheless. Some people may complain about the prices, but I found it fitting of the place. The place has a fun vibe, it has a nice decor, and the staff was friendly. This was honestly one of the better Latin clubs I've been to in Los Angeles. It reminds me somewhat of Giggles in Glendale, but with a touch of country.

If I could give them zero stars I honestly would. I love the music there and been going there for years but definitely never going back !! Got 3 bottles plus beers. Seen this picture that EVERYONE including guys would be free but once at the door was refused free entrance for guys. If you ask me this is bullshit. I was told to talk to this guys but he just gave me his back and said " no no that was a mistake" but ending the night they had the same flyer for Saturday saying "everyone free all night" bola de rateros. FALSE ADVERTISING!!!! Never ever going back and definitely not recommending it to anyone. Sevilla's is wat better !!!

Honestly wish I can rate this no stars. 18+. Self Parking $20. VIP Parking $20. Waited in line 40+ minutes. VIP entry $20. We had ask how much is entry fee we were told free bfor 11pm. We were already in line at 1030. We finally made it inside to pay one hour later and was told entry fee is $40 a person! And it's cash only. Uber/Lyft or have someone drop you off so you don't pay a ridiculous parking fee. Plan to arrive early to beat the long line and the outrageous entry fee.

Don't be fooled not free to get in they will hold the lines and make u pay !!!!! Do not come don't spend ur money on this trash plenty of good nightclubs

I like this place and come here often, but reviews are totally right in that the cover charges can get crazy high, they fill the dance floor with couches as the night goes on, and in general customer service isn't great. But the music and ambiance can still be fun. MAJOR TIP to save you some $$$ if you come here - the valet that charges $20 is kind of illegal...they are charging you for the service (parking your car/watching it/bringing it back for you at the end of the night) but they CAN'T charge you to park in the public lots (the restaurant/the movie theater/etc.) because they don't own them. Every time I come here, my boyfriend and I park by the movie theater and just walk over to the club. One time one of the valet guys tried to intimidate us and threaten us with getting our car towed for doing that. I literally laughed and told him to go right ahead.

After a few of us paid our cover to get in we realized that one of our friends didn't have enough cash to pay because it was something different than what we were originally told in line. As we were standing in line of the club's ATM to get cash the ATM broke. They have 2 ATMs at this location and now both of them were broken. There was now no way to get my friend in unless we left and found another ATM. We didn't get anywhere trying to talk to anyone that works there and after 30mins of trying to at least get our money back we left without being refunded. We ended up leaving very frustrated and we were not the only ones complaining about this while we were there When a business has these problems, it makes it very apparent that it's not managed well. I felt like they just made their money off of people they decide to rip off.

I didn't like this club at all ! Too small. The only thing I liked was the waiter that attended me he was nice besides that it was not fun. If you go be prepared because you ain't going to have room to dance or even that, they won't ask you to dance. The guys are only drinking or smoking....

I celebrated my husbands bday 9/30/2017. Lenin Ramirez was the performer he was great! I came with group of 20 people overall experience was okay. We did have alot of fun but have mixed feelings about Malecon. pros: Jessica and Lupita are very helpful they take care of you! ask for them for your next event. they take care of you if you get vip booth, they come open your bottles pour drinks for ppl etc. If you spill drinks they clean it up. cons: dance floor is TOO SMALL, and later non-existent it gets filled with couches and tables as the night goes. If you wanna go somewhere and dance your ass off this is not the place! This is more like a concert experience. they advertised GIRLS FREE ENTRACE BEFORE 10pm with text received before 8pm. We got there at 9 on the dot and all my girls had this text, I thought we were good. WRONG! The doors opened maybe 10 min before 10pm. We wasted a whole hour, I should have just stayed in party bus for that last hour if I knew we were gonna have to pay anyway. So we each paid $20. I don't mind paying but mind you I had like 10 girls with me who I promised would get in for free. Oh, later in the night one last friend came and she said they were charging $120 to get in so she left. Thats just ridic Malecon. Famous artist or not entrance for girls should never be $100+. Just my opinion. Finally, I brought cake because they told me they would take it out with dancers and the whole ak-47 show but the day of they told me that costed $350 so of course I didn't want it anymore that's crazy. Then i asked for plates and forks for cake and they said they didn't have any? NEXT TIME DON'T TELL PPL TO BRING CAKES, ITS JUST GONNA MELT IN THE TABLE. FINAL THOUGHT: I WON'T RETURN TO MALECON UNLESS AN ARTIST I LOVE PERFORMS AND EVEN THEN I WONT COME WITH ANY EXPECTATIONS TO DANCE, JUST DRINK AND WATCH THE SHOW.

This club literally sucks. It's over priced,$250 for a shitty small table, and you're shoulder to shoulder next to the other table. It's overcrowded with no place to dance because they have nothing but tables. So you basically sit or stand up. They will literally place any small ugly looking table anywhere. The women's restroom is super ghetto one of the restrooms still has men's urinal and they have a sign hand written that says women's restroom, like seriously ? They can't afford to actually remodel a restroom and a women's restroom sign? The worst part is they sell flaming hot chips, eye lashes, earrings, bras, pregnancy test, and I wouldn't be surprised if they sold plan b as well inside the restroom. Like can this place get any more ghetto ??? Who the hell goes to a club and buys those stuff ??? I wouldn't mind the high prices, if the club was not this horrific itself.

Honestly if I could leave 0 stars I would! They are scammers! We arrived and asked how much a table is with bottles. They told us for 2 bottles for $260! At the end of the night this old chubby guy came and said it'll be $520!!! Not the $260 they originally said in the beginning. When we asked he said $260 each bottle and everyone has to get a minimum of 2 bottles! This place is not recommended and there is barely a dancing floor. Overhyped!

$16 for a cocktail that tastes like straight up juice. The service sucks and the atmosphere is uncomfortable.

Worst security guard they don't do a good job the abuse there power if they don't get what they want they try to hard to flirt with the girls and they get rejected they watch them and see any excuse to kick them out. For any little things they would find a reason to kick you out and when they send out text messages saying that you'll get in free before 1030 they won't open the doors until it's too late for you would have to pay that's why they only trying to make money for every little thing

Group of friends came from San Diego, we got a table & 2 bottles, we saw the add on IG "free" entrance with a text message. We got to the door and boom yeah $40 each person. The lady at the window made up a stupid story saying it wasn't the right number that we texted and I had to put a whole paragraph blah blah BS, I mean we had no choice cause it was late and we drove so far.. but yeah I don't think we giving them money again. FUCK THEM . False advertising is against the law by the way if anyone wants to fuck with them lol

I went on a weekend. There was a short and reasonable wait to get in. There was a cover. Most seating is in booth form with some small table seating off to the far side. It was a celebratory night so my friends and I did bottle service-- the booth was comfortable and the service responsive. The live bands were fun to listen/dance to and there was some reggaeton/cumbias played in between with a DJ but short lasting before next band popped up. No bottles/drinks allowed on dance floor with security dude watching people go in and out. Hookah all night for one price but it is strangely charged on separate account (cannot be combined). I had a blast and would rate 5/5 but it was very pricey. We had 10 people in our group and payed about $900-1000. Note that the attached photo was at 9 PM when we arrived, but by 11 PM they were a lot more people on the dance floor.

If you haven't been to MALECON yet, what are you waiting for? It's one of the best Regional Mexican Nightclubs in LA County. Perfect for Dancing, Mingling or just wanna go have a drink and listen to the best Local & International Bands of the Regional Mexican Industry. A great spot to celebrate your Birthday or just wanna listen to live bands & a great PARTY ATMOSPHERE. OPEN TUESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY. Btw don't forget about The FOOD. TACOS DE ASADA & BIRRIA are amazing.

Horrible dance floor!!!! It's small already, and as the night progresses they add tables to the dance floor and you can't even dance. good music but you CAN NOT EVEN DANCE!!!!!!!

Worst experience ever! Went here last night. We got carotid choke hold by an EMPLOYEE/security guard. Not even police officers are allowed to do this! I was pushed down by the same guy! They abuse their power and think they're above the law. Just because you had a couple drinks they think they can do this. YOU CAN NOT. Lawyers are closed sundays but they'll be hearing from us. This is not okay. On top of that we got pepper sprayed by the same short guy. Claimed his name was Kevin. They did not want to give their name out because they knew a lawsuit is coming their way.

Cool place. Atmosphere was cool, it just suck that it doesn't have a dance floor. I really wanted to dance my whole purpose of going. But drinks are good and the crowd gets cool if you're ok with just listening to music.

This is the first time that I went to this place to dance with my wife and we never got in, because we were waiting more tha 45 minutes and we left this place at 10:25 and nobody went in at that time. Also they charge me $20.00 for the valet Parking and they never park my car, I had to do it by myself. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy this nigth as we were expecting. I hope the owner read this comment to provide best service .

Saying the same as everyone else, if I can give this club 0 stars I would. The price is just ridiculous, $20 for parking, $40 PER PERSON??!! The club isn't even good and apart from that the drinks are expensive and not worth it. They only accept cash, which is dumb if they're charging $40 per person. Really small, hardly any space in the dance floor, well in general there's hardly any space. Just realize with entry and parking alone you'll probably pay $100 if you bring someone. We waited In line since 9pm, didnt go in until 10:30 or later, and this was when it was really cold. Went once, NEVER AGAIN. Since the pandemic closed this place temporarily, im posting this review since I have time.

Waited in line for about 30 minutes. Was told the line we were in was free and there was another line you could pay $20 and get in faster. Once we got to the front it was $40 to get in. We were planning on getting a table for $250 but apparently you still have to pay the $40 fee as well. We turned around and walked out. Don't waste your money here.

Terrible night club. terrible security guards kicked me out for not showing them my orange wristband, I couldn't hear what he was saying cause the music is loud so he decided to tell the security to escort me. Trash ass nightclub.

Omg what a fun night! Bottle service is not that expensive and the hostess is really attentive. The restroom is pretty clean and those bathroom ladies sell EVERYTHING!!! And I mean everything from chips to pregnancy tests lol!! Good music and all around a fun place

I didn't go in but it looks like a nice place to throw a party. I would definitely look into it for that purpose and keep it on my list for places in that area to throw something when it makes sense. The inside lights, parking and locations seems legit

Amazing music! Great customer service. Drinks were over priced- everything is $14 hard liquor/ per drink. Was looking for somewhere to go out on a Sunday... best place I found. Although, the dance floor was small because they have tables all around it for VIP.

This club is trash, to start off the people who work here think that they are running a high end place when in reality this place is garbage. They send the text to be able to get in for free before 10:30, but they don't start to let people in until 10. So it doesn't matter if you wait in line since 9pm! The drinks are crappy & expensive. This place is expensive af for the crap of service that they give. I was able to pass with a 21 & over wristband when my Id doesn't even say I'm 21. So they're stupid and they don't check right. This place should get shut down!!!

Be ready to get bottle service for a good seat. My recommendation is that you come with a big group to split the bottle service fees. My boyfriend an I came thinking there was going to be standing room. We were wrong. We sat to the left of the stage by the bar. The view was ehh to the stage. Blocked by all the bottle service people. I will only come here if I get bottle service. Other than that...nah, I'm good.

Honestly this club is so trash. They legit will over pack the place on purpose just to get more money for themselves yet treat you like a heard of animals on the inside. To get a good seat you new bottle service that'll charge you up the ass for it. And w big event they put tables every where so you can't even stand on the sides bc guess what rude ass securities will tell you to move but to WHERE ?! Since Rodeo is closed we decided to celebrate here for a late bday . Big mistake ! To start the Valet are super idiots , they were speeding in my car in the parking lot in front of me as we wait in line . Mind you guys I own a brand new Benz . There was gum on my floor mats apparently the asshole stepped in it and clean himself off on my carpet ! So anyway that was just the smallest of issues . The inside of this DUMP is disgusting . The waitress tried to upsell us on our table near the dance floor claiming we had to buy 3 bottles of 18 Buchanans to sit down in the what used to buy a dance floor when the people there all had 3 bottles of 12 . It wasn't until we agreed and realiZed we got fucked . All the other groups down there had 12s . To add to the bottle service shit ass service, they only brought us two bottles of juice and its suppose to be 2 bottles of juice per bottle and they charged us 10 bucks per extra bottle . Which we never got our original 2 sets to begin with. The juice tasted disgusting and moldy. Next , they don't care about dress code here ! It's like a crowd of 35+ years old with a bunch of older bottom of the barrel fat chicks and some really old perverted chunti's. Now I consider ourselves to be paisa but the people here are ghetto beyond measure ! We had randomn people in our VIP sitting in our section when we would stand up and grab our drinks or leave to the restroom ! Security doesn't do shit ! The aisles are packed anyone can walk into VIP which is annoying since we are trying to watch the groups perform . And we paid cash ! The group next to us was arguing about paying with a card and having extra charges . That seems to be the case there according to other people that have gone . So seriously use CASH do not use any of your cards! If you want a fun night go to Uruapan in Baldwin park ! Neither place has a dance floor but at least it's clean and a nicer place . Beware of the waitress' they will try to rip you off ! I wish I could give a negative star on This place !

So, let me start off by saying this club is getting hella over rated. I went here because local Spanish clubs are becoming very limited. My first time here was cool, got in free before 10:30pm with a text, it was a Friday. Once we entered a server told us that unless we were ordering bottle service we couldn't get a table. Luckily, a female server asked us if we wanted to be seated and I told her what the guy had just said to us and she said he's crazy, as long as you order a bucket of beer you can have a table. That made more sense since that is how most clubs work. Second time I went, I again had my free text but did not make it to the door before 10:30, mind you they purposely hold up the lines so that everyone gets stuck paying because they don't start moving the line till after 10:30pm. Anyways, we knew they were not gonna let us in free on time this time so we were ready to pay. Before reaching the window we kept seeing people in front of us just leaving. I asked some girls what was going on and they said they were being charged $50 each to get in. Once we reached the front window the girl was charging us $40 to get it!!!. The girls in front of us were sorry to say chunti so I am guessing that was why they were charging them more. I had never paid to get into a Spanish club before! I was here to see Crecer German, so I said screw it I'm already here. I pull out my debit card and she rudely tells us the ATM is out of order, there is one down the street. We couldn't believe it. We got out of line and went back out side to debate whether or not we wanted to walk down the street to withdraw money. We asked one of the securities for directions to the ATM and he asked us why we weren't using the one inside the club!!!! I told him the trick inside had told us to go down the street!! I was so pissed! Made me think, well hell what the hell were we categorized as???? So he lets us back in tells the girl we need to use the ATM, she acts like nothing and asked us for our phone as collateral as we took cash out. We take out money, I go pay at the window, I hand her the $40 and she returns $5 back to me. So now your charging $35??????? It is obvious that these people are charging and serving who ever and whatever they want. That is such BS! It was only 3 of us and we were trying to sit at a table with some people we knew but there was no space, we asked their server for help getting more chairs and he completely ignored us. Again, a female asked to serve us and offered to sit us at a smaller table in another section while she figured out how to seat us with the other people. That was kind of her, as soon as she saw available space next to the people we knew she advised us and walked us and seated us with them. She was great, I ordered our drinks from here throughout the night and tipped her generously for her great service. Club got so packed that they started putting couches in the middle of the dancefloor for their high rollers!! Any way, needless to say this place is corrupt as hell, and they treat people based on their financial status and looks, assuming who's gonna spend a lot of money and who's not. Unfortunately, I will be going here again tonight, we already pre-purchased our tickets at $40 to see Omar Ruiz and will be in a pretty large group who will probably be requesting bottle service. We'll see how different our experience is this time around!!!

If you don't want to risk your life, make yourself a favor and don't come here. First of all they don't follow what they say about the "free" with text, parking $20, bottle service or beer buckets to get a seat. Seriously!! So either way we went ahead and tried it out since it was a Tuesday night and they had live Banda. For the time being it was fun, DJ played good music too. We were about to leave when a huge brawl went down. You think 4 securities were going to stop 40 guys? It got so intense and risky that we couldn't figure out a way to exit. They were throwing the couches, bottles, swinging the microphone stand, even throwing the Banda's speakers. It got crazy and not much could've been done to stop the guys beating up someone unconscious and bleeding so bad. First and last time coming here.

They were charging $60 per person to see a guy play music out of his laptop haha no thank you I just came and got home. I'm not stingy but I'm not an idiot either. Sucks!

Place is a rip off. The line barley moves to get in "free w/ text" so they charge you anyways. The V.I.P line to get in "faster" is extra + the fee to enter. They won't let you sit at the tables if you don't purchase alcohol, so they send you to some seats behind the bar where anything is hardly visible. Depending who's playing there is no place to dance because they block the dance floor with tables and booths.

So, attended the NYE Celebration. Had a nice crowd. BUT let me get to the real reason I came to write a review. My credit card was overcharged $94.20 Charge I have no clue about, billed twice for a paid transaction. Now trying to get ahold of a person (to allow them to straighten it out) Almost impossible. Most numbers listed with the place are no longer good. Getting someone on the phone (appears to be a joke) (I might get more lucky looking for a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow) Bad Business Ethics to whomever cashes out at the end of the night. So I would never ever use my card here, TIP - Only deal with the bar with Cash.

Reading the reviews for this place my expectations weren't the greatest. Man was I surprised! I can't freaking wait to go back here! The bottle service was amazing!!!!Bandas were on point and everyone was really really nice. We went on a Friday night and got there relatively early. I had asked for a table and even though my full party had not shown up yet we still got a nice booth where everyone fit comfortably. They never once were pushy about people getting there, or want to give us a smaller table. Had a blast! Will totally see you guys soon!

However, I was charged $20 for VIP to skip the line to get in the club. Then I was charged an additional $50 at the entrance. Did I mentionn the $20 for valet. Good music horrible service.

I came here to celebrate my birthday I was so excited because I was going to see Noel Torres it took my 1 week to get a hold of someone to reserve a table and then I had seen presale tickets were 40 dollars so my girls and I decided to buy them because we were scared it would be more expensive later on man were we fooled not only did the club open at 10:30 they said girls entered free but since I got bottle service we need to be there before 10 so we went the line was big we literally paid 40 each for nothing tickets didn't matter the security said 20 more to get in ASAP so we waited before I called Ticketón to get my money back explained the event was free so why pay and they said no they only return money if the event is cancelled but it's not we already had tickets so we went we got in at 11 then had to wait 30 min for our bottle server for two bottles we paid 500 plus another 300 because of taxes of the tickets we spent 800+ because if not we weren't getting a table so we paid we asked for a front table and the girl said it's only for "hosts" and v.i.p people I thought it was tables for bottle service? She then said no it's reserved for them the entire night no one sat there they removed some tables we were so upset and to make matters worse sadly Noel Torres only played for 30 min not even the 2 hours they say completely false advertisement if you come here be ready to spend a lot of money and have patients because they're rude and disrespectful and if you see a group you like playing there take your time they open doors at 11 not 9 and the artist only plays for 30 min the show is done by 1:30 and wait till the day of and see if you need to buy the tickets or they're randomly going to say "free" don't be fooled like my friends and i were paid 40 because they said it was selling out and it was going to get more expensive the day of its all false the tickets don't matter and it's another 20 to get "express lane" or wait till it's your turn to go in. Very upset and chances are I won't be going there again. So disappointed because I loved El Malecon but over time they got to eager with money they don't care about the people supporting them we give them our money so why not make the customers happy? Mostly in their birthday!The sad part is they make their money so Yelp reviews and people complaining they could care less this place lacks customer service and it's corrupt as hell. If you like that come and be fooled I at least warned you all
