I've been here a few times and haven't been disappointed. I normally do the cantina which really helps especially with getting home late from work. They give you this soup while you wait. Sometimes chicken sometimes beef rib meat. Absolutely delicious especially when you add the lime! The waiters and waitresses are attentive and it has a family atmosphere

El Mayoral is a Columbian home style restaurant in the West Kendall area of Miami. The menu features a wide variety of typical Columbian dishes. Meals are fresh and flavorful and the wait staff is pleasant. You start your meal with a complimentary cup of chicken broth, which was delicious. One of the mist popular dishes is the Bandeja Paisa, which features rice, beans, fried pork skin, grilled or ground beef, sweet plantains, eggs, arepa, and pork sausage. The steak was tender, juicy and flavorful, the fried port skin (chicharron), was crispy and delicious, the red beans were sweet and gently earthy. We have had this dish in several Columbian restaurants in the area however, this one is not to be missed. Probably among the best. The passion fruit mousse was light, sweet, smooth and just the right dessert after a filling meal. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor dining and there is plenty of parking.

Hidden gem in Kendall. Love to go and pickup some comfort food on Thursday which is arroz con pollo. Value is amazing you get a small soup, small salad and entree with a side. Breakfast is also great which we love to order. Make sure you try a coco lemonade truly refreshing during these hot summer days! Ask for Maribel!

Paid 50usd for horrible food! The chicken was burnt, and the arroz con pollo didn’t taste at all to chicken! The “chicken” empanada was full of potato like the ones you buy in the corner of the streets in Medellin for 25 cents, zero quality, I asked the waitress Jessica about where the cheese came from and she answered, she didn’t know, and instead of asking to the chef or the manager, she never came back with the answer, don’t waste your money here! Quality and customer service are horrendous! Ac I guess wasnt working because outside was cooler than inside! The worst restaurant ever!

Wow such a hidden gem in the heart of Kendall! Absolutely delicious! Employees are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about their menu even the owner is such a kind soul! I ordered a Patacón con todo wow the patacón was such crunchy yet tender and all their proteins were very well seasoned. We also ordered a hot dog with everything, 2 arepas and their Lulo Mousse (divine!) Plenty of parking spaces! I wish I would've tried their soups as l am a soup lover but it was so hot outside. High recommended for Colombian food lovers!

Servers are really nice and the amount of food in relation to the price is great! very filling and hearty.

Great place for Colombian cuisine :) I highly recommend the bandeja paisa, the sancocho de costilla, and hígado encebollado is always my favorite! The service is always great here, everyone is welcoming and the ambiance is very upbeat. I don't recommend the burger from here, it was missing flavor.

Great experience!!! A friend has been recommending this place and we finally went! There was live music and the place is super cute and clean! The waitress recommended some items and we loved them all! The food came out quickly ! We had the chicharron with Arepa for appetizer and it was so delicious. I had the churassco and this was probably the best one I've ever had!!! The icing on top is their prices!!! Very affordable for the amount of food you get! Highly recommend! Will be back!

Walked in on a Friday night at 7pm and this place was pretty empty. First time here, I came because I was craving something specific. The service was nice and the food was okay. Overall, I'd come back to try other things on the menu.

This is the second time that I order a hen soup is the bomb and so tasty and it brings rice a small arepa and an avocado my sister usually gets the rib one she says is awesome too it never disappoints me I took it to go the ladies are very attentive

Good place for Colombian food, pescado en salsa de coco was delicious as well as the Churrasquito. Will continue visiting this place, good food and good customer service.

Today's Colombian soup dinner of Sancocho de Costilla, Ajiaco Pequeno, Ajiaco, Empanadas de Carne, Pollo o Queso, Chicharron con Arepa o Toston, Side de Aguacate, and Quesito were tasty, generous, filling, and delicious.

The food was delicious and fresh. Had a good time with friends. We spent a fairly long time there and were never rushed to leave. We were welcomed with a cup of broth. Loved their sancocho. The large sized came with rice, banana and a tortilla.

This is my go-to Colombian spot. As a half Colombian, I appreciate the ambiance and decor that very much reminds me of our Pueblo in Colombia. The food is tasty and authentic and the service as always exceptional.

Menu includes an assortment of traditional dishes from Colombia. To start off I got a free mini styrofoam cup of chicken broth which was scalding hot but full of flavor. My usual go to meal is the bandeja paisa which comes with avocado, white rice, red beans, chicharrones, grilled steak or you can get ground beef, maduros an egg an arepa, and pork sausage. I chose steak and it was flavorful and juicy. Chicharrones are always crispy and not too oily. The red beans taste like home and are thick and delicious. The day I went there was a live singer performing which was quite nice and the plaza in which the place is located has free parking and many spaces as well which is convenient. Overall always enjoy the bandeja paisa here!

Excellent food- the portions are big. I had el calentado with hot chocolate . It was delicious. In addition, they served me a caldo de pollo . great service. Super affordable- definitely I will return.

Secundaria visit here & no regreso! Awesome delicious food served hot, great customer server,our served , Sandra, very sweet & professional attentive to everything we & her others customer might need. Will return & I highly recommend this place. Great atmosphere, all waitresses seems very nice.

Good service and live music. However the food was decent at best. The empanadas de carne were 95% potato. The churrasco had a lot of fat on it. 18% gratuity is already included. Overall , subpar Colombian food.

I'm not Colombian, so this may skew the review. The food was a bit bland. It's want bad- just rather bland. The steak, the rice, beans... it was all really lacking salt. The chicharrones were expertly fried. The sausage and morcilla were excellent. The arepas were white hockey pucks. This place isn't inexpensive, but not upper echelon food either, in my opinion. Service was good and there's live music on Saturday's apparently. All in all, ok.

Bandeja Paisa and Columbian empanadas yummy!! They have a good truck too that it out I think on weekends and you can chill, have great food and relax. Great late night snacks too!!!!

The service is really great the ladies there that take care of you have a wonderful attitude they're very friendly their soup at the beginning of the meal is really nice and a pleasant surprise what I had to eat was a really great very greasy the options are mostly all not really that healthy but if you stick to the soups you could enjoy it.

This place is good for its steak and chicharrón! Yummmm! I was not a fan of the lengua (tongue) because it was too chewy. But the bandeja paisa was excellent!! I have to come back! I'm so glad I checked this place out. Come and eat some classic and delicious Colombian food. And come hungry! They don't play around with the portions!! This place makes me happy. I love Colombian food!

This place bakery selection is a joke i ordered a bunuelo cause i needed to rush to the salon in the same shopping they didn't have so they told me we have pan de bonos so i order 2 and a soda brooooo they got 2 frozen pan de bono the ones they sell at the super market and put them in a toaster over me being a colombian what a freakin joke

This place was excellent. There are many good things to talk about, but I'm going to stick to it. I am a big fan of steak. This place made an awesome piece of steak. I highly recommend the carne Asada. The flavor and texture is just so on point and delicious.

I've been to this shopping center a thousand times and never had tried out this colombian restaurant. With the cold front passing by we wanted to eat some Sancocho so we decided to go pay them a visit. The restaurant felt like a little cozy Paisa Cabin, as soon as we walked in we were helped and seated right away. Service was outstanding. We opted to have empanadas (they were a little bland) and bandeja paisa, they gave us some complementary soup as an appetizer, and it was really good, the best of everything we ordered lol. Everything was very well presented and the portions good, although the beans and meat could use a little more seasoning, the sausage tasted too much like "Cumin" so i left it. At the end i did a check in and it showed a coupon of a 10 percent off, when i showed it to the waitress she went to get the manager and the lady told us that she didn't know what it was and it was probably a mistake. Overall experience was very good but the food itself was just ok, prices are more on the high side for the type of food it is. I will probably go back to try out the Sancocho and give them second chance.

Was looking for a spot in the kendall area for breakfast but a place I've never been to and decided to hit up Mayoral Restaurant. It's Colombian and i love there food. The prices are great and they had a pretty good breakfast selection with prices under $10. Located in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. Once inside I decided on a hot chocolate with sunny side up eggs & bacon with an arepa. It was $6.95 not bad but wasn't the best breakfast. My love ordered the scrambled eggs with the works and pretty much the same sides as me also same price. It was an okay breakfast I was more into what was offered for lunch and dinner that caught my eye. They also have great specials and most likely would come for lunch or dinner instead of breakfast. The service was quick and friendly. Also make sure to check in they offer 10% off your bill for lunch or dinner.

This Colombian place was alright. I was excited to try this place after reading positive reviews, however the arepa the choclo did not look like any arepa de cholo that I've had. It tasted like the arepa was just microwaved and the cheese wasn't even melted. The bandeja paisa was the only decent part. The pan de Bonos you can tell where put in the microwave because they were soggy and when I bit into it you can taste that they were frozen.

Found this place close to home. Very authentic Colombian meal, very tasty pork belly's are delicious. I had the Calentado for breakfast very good. Coming back for more! They also have a live cookout outside. Fricking smells awesome I think coming back today to try the meat that's being grilled colombian style !!

Awesome Columbia's best in Kendall Drive. The fish was fresh and tasty. Churrasco flavors jumped off the plate and the salads dressing is fresh! Best of all service!!!

Favorite Colombian restaurant in Kendall, hands down. They have pandebonos, empanadas, bueñuelos all of your basic Colombian antojitos. Their breakfast is great, their Colombian street food, as well as their specialties. The Bandeja Paisa (although I need a carne molida option) and Ajiaco are delicious and come in large servings which is always appreciated Their customer service, also phenomenal. The girls in the front are super nice and accommodating. I ordered from Uber Eats today, and as always everything was delicious. They missed something however they did offer to have it sent to me again. Can't say anything bad about this place, definitely recommend to everyone.

This is the first time I order from this place and received expired/ rotten dessert. Terrible experience will never order again. The food expired on 10/30/2019 and today is 11/18/2019...health issues.....

I really loved the service specifically from the waiter Jorge , he was really professional and caring . The food is good as well but the beans were not to die for as the other colombian beans , maybe it was just that day , maybe they ran out and had to cook another batch in short time. They taste good but a little hard, although I wanted the beans because they dont make them with meat. Summarizing it is worhit to try it, they different options . Remeber the waiter's name Jorge , even if you dont like something he will do his best for you to have a great time.

This place is somewhat wheelchair friendly but it could be better. I wanted to give this place more stars. This first time I was here, it was awesome! I live extremely close and the other Colombian restaurant leaves much to be desired. The food was yummy. I know no other word to describe how we felt the first time we ate there. It was like eating my abuelita's cooking. The second time we ordered for delivery. It was great too. Everything was packaged well. The third time was really bad. It was the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Everyone's meal was extra salty. There was no way to salvage this meal. However, my sister enjoyed the desserts. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is nice. I was worried about the lit candles so close to the flags. There is one in the bathroom that I blew out because I don't want to catch on fire while I'm somewhat naked. The place is very colorful and it has a bar. It's casual and I'm sure if there's a soccer game, it will be on one of their large screen TVs. The place is difficult to spot unless you know exactly where to look. Tell others it's across from Taco Bell. Once they figure out who added all of that salt, I highly recommend you go there for delicious Colombian cuisine.

As well as typical Colombian cuisine.. Lulo batido ..... forth star Presentation, freshness and richness of food quality. almojabana was fresh and delicious as was the rest of the meal.... fifth star It's a great concise no B.S. Colombian food outlet open till 12 am. Great for sobering up or relaxing with friends and family. Happy we ventured here and will return - Hopping this place becomes a huge success, Alvaro

They give a taste of consomé to start free so yummy but its just the start . La picada amazing for about 6 ppl not 2 it's A LOT , the bandeja paisa yummy , BUT MY FAV IS THE PUNTA DE ANCA with guac , papá la criolla and yuca frita i struggle to finish. I also tasted the chuleta empanizada and it wasn't greasy just perfect. I couldn't get to the desert I was just to full. I will be back the service was we súper!! 5 star to the service !

The server and good where simply excellent, what I think was the manager approached us and ask if all was ok. We ordered a mayoral picada for 5 of us. It was exquisitedly cooked and full of all kinds of meats, chicken, potatoes, fried yucca, blood sausage,pork. Waow..I would definitely go back, we had so much we had to take home leftovers. Oh the panela lemonade was great too.

Probably one of the best if not the best Colombian restaurant in Kendall. Everything from their empanadas, bandeja paisa, and burgers are delicious. Ideal spot to go in big groups as the portions are also pretty big. Highly recommend.

My bestfriend ordered the bandeja paisa and it was really good. I loved my mango smoothie. The burger was delicious as well.

Ordered sancocho de pollo for my family sick with flu. 60-70 minutes was the wait for delivery. I was ok with that as long as the soup was good. The soup had terrible flavor & undercooked potatoes and yuca. Broth was like drinking dirty water with no consistency to it. Gave 2 star because their arroz con pollo was decent, but nothing to brag about.

Not recommended. I ordered an order of scrambled eggs plain and they charged me for a full breakfast. The reply when asked was that's how it comes up in the system. This was after I showed her the price for 2 fried eggs was 3.00. Then no beans for the calentao breakfast no price break on the 12.50 there either. Service horrendous. I spoke with owner very nice gentleman but no remorse no nothing at the end. So upset for a not so great $50

Great food, amazing service, nice decorations. The staff has a smile on their faces with great attitude and most importantly the food is delicious. You should try it and see for yourself!

Wow a hidden Gem. This Colombian restaurant is great. The food is gooood. I got the famous bandeja paisa. N boy was I for a surprise from the plating to the taste it was and experience I won't forget. I can safely say everything is made fresh. Also they are watching the soccer games. Although this place is new. It's one to come a visit. I'm Peruvian and my passion is food. And this place I urge you to go. If you like good food and a homie place that you will be satisfied I encourage you to come.

Very dissapoined! I placed and order with uber eats on Sunday & when I received my order it was wrong. I called the restaurant to tell them They sent me the wrong order and the girl on the phone said yes you are correct you got the wrong order. I asked her to please sent me the correct order and to come pick up the order they brought me that was wrong. Her replied to me was I can't do nothing about it because we close in 10 minutes and I have no one to deliver it either. At this point I'm upset I paid for something that I never got and now they didn't want to provide me with service, she then said I can call the following day and order it again and they would give me discount?? Really after I paid for something that I never received. The following day Monday I called to speak to a manager the girl who answered said she was the manager I explained everything to her and se said she can send some one in the afternoon to pick up the food that was delivered wrong. I mentioned to her I threw it out because no one cared to come last night to pick it up and I was not going to keep food in my fridge we didn't want or order. She said then there was nothing she can do that she would need to do Foward my message to a manager??? Aren't you the manager I'm speaking too?? At this point I'm frustraded. It's 12:00 pm I waited till 4:30 pm and no call from no manager.. I called again and The girl said no manager that they left already. So my message was never provided to a manager the situation still has not been solved and they took my money at this point I'm more angry because they don't care about there customer. Here is Tuesday day 3 called to speak to a manager owner the girl on the phone says she doesn't see any message about my situation and manager will be in at 4. We will see what happens at 4 when I call. At this point I'm so annoyed of this situation I paid for food I never received requested for them to come pick up the order they sent incorrect and they didn't care to find a way to pick it up and send me the correct order, I yet have geared from a manager and it's day 3 !!! Horrible customer service
