I dined with a group of 7 friends here for lunch. We had been on the Houston ship channel boat tour and were looking for something not to far away. We saw that this place had overall good reviews and what better to have when on Houston's east end than Mexican food!
Service was prompt, the place is very clean and while it has a decor reminiscent of the 1960's with it's metal trimmed Formica counters and brightly painted walls it had a nice homey feeling like a good neighborhood diner should!
We all got something different, I opted for a lighter lunch and had the grilled fish which came with rice and a salad and some steamed vegetables. The fish had nice spice to it, not to hot or anything but aromatic. I think it might have been tilapia but it was very fresh. Others has enchiladas and tacos and all were good. Our server kept our drinks refilled, we were so hot when we arrived.
Was this the best Mexican food I have had? Well, maybe not but it was cooked and served by people who apparently love what they do and want to please their customers.
