I want this place to stay open and this is why I write this review. The decor and design are great...the first thing we said when my friends and I went was that it did not feel like Barcelona. You feel like you are transported to a different place and of course the music was great because we purchased tickets to see an artist that we knew. However, the problem starts with the staff and the way things are handled. First, the cocktails were ALL watered down. For a €12 cocktail you expect to feel the alcohol just a little, it was like we'd been served soft drinks. Then, suddenly, half way through the show, which I was starting to get into, someone taps me on the shoulder and asks me if we want more drinks. I say no thanks, not yet. So she immediately says, pay me now. So rather than complain and be distracted from the show, I pay. After the show is over, you can see that they are setting up for what will be a disco dance party. We say we'd like to order another drink now please. Well, you have to go outside and pay another cover charge and come in to the next show.
No understanding of flow or hospitality in general. Barcelona needs a nice jazz club like this with great ambiance and a good talent booker but they need to make some tweaks in order to survive. I will probably go back to another show and see if I can update the review. I wish them all the best!
