Good portion of Super Burrito carne asada with everything. Great service and enjoyed every bite. The place is sweet simple place to dine in. It suits El Molino restaurant. Recommend all dishes. They are good at their recipe! I was just in mood for a Burrito.

The chili relleno was unrecognizable as a chili. And did not taste good at all. My son's burrito had rice that tasted like mold. And I spent over $30 for Two Plates at lunch time. I certainly would not recommend eating at this restaurant. It was a waste of money.

My first time at El Molino, Pleasanton, I ordered a vegetarian burrito. I specifically asked if it was possible to have whole beans instead of refried, no rice, lettuce, cream, and salsa pico de gallo. Señor Jesus, who took my order said it was all OK. He did fail to inform me that I could chose the size wanted, regular, large or super- burrito. So, $21.00 later, I took home a foot long super burrito. The size was fine (I could have it for lunch and dinner), except for the contents. At the first knife cut the soup like insides flooded my plate. It was filled with a mix of very liquid refried beans, cheese, a little bit of lettuce, and watery salsa. Not what I ordered. It looked disgusting and I could not eat it. I decided to give a second chance today. I was very careful to chose exactly what was on the huge menu board hanging on the wall. I ordered the regular size whole beans & cheese burrito for $6.25 and some pico de gallo salsa to go. At which point señor Jesus said " no, it's $7.50". I pointed to the menu on the board and the price. He looked at it but continued to argue that I was wrong, the price was $7.50. Not until the customer behind me pointed out his mistake, he said "oh, ok, but they changed the price just an hour ago". So, $7.00 (with tax) I got the tiniest burrito, no salsa. NEVER AGAIN! CHECK THE PICTURE OF MY TINY BURRITO.

Great spot for a quick bite. Very inviting and not to mention the food is so flavorful. Must defenetly recommend it.

The salsa is exquisite and very hot, the food is flavorful and authentic Mexican Cantina Style

Very simple. Hole in the wall, good service- order at counter. Parking was easy. Burrito was decent.They have beer and cheap wine too.

Taco shells were store-bought, did not serve chips and salsa, and did not offer tortillas with the meal. Owner was too busy watching TV and the TV volume was way too loud. Should have had better food for the price and better service. Disappointing.

Everything was amazing! Great beef enchilada (I requested ground beef because it's my favorite) and it was perfect! Sauce was some of the best I've had! Chips and salsa were spot on and great with the flavorful refried beans and rice. Father and son were working that day and both offered top-notch hospitality!

The Carnitas tacos and the Chile Verde are excellent.Nice hole in the wall family run place.

This has got to be the worst food for crazy price and awful service . My friend recommended this because he is born and raised in Pleasanton and loves this place and owner . Sadly , it was awful for me . The owner who appears to be the only guy or something is an old(er) guy so I feel bad but he missed half my order when I ordered at the register. So I had to do a second order to get everything I had ordered to go. It took forever to get my food ... literally the longest I have ever had to wait . I was hoping that meant food would be fresh . Nope! Half my order was wrong ! Wrong tacos and not good . Rice not good . I also ordered albondigas ... $18 for a small two albondigas soup and also bland to taste . And tasted like it had come from frozen . Not worth it. In addition, I believe I left an important item behind from my wallet and when I called to ask ... I feel he showed not a single concern or effort. Food 1/10 Service 1/10 Sad to say I will never go back here. They may have been around for a while but I think it's time to close the doors here.

I had a phone order for a super burrito and a glass coke. Well, it's expensive for what I had, and the portion size of the burrito. I'm still hungry. I also had very little sour cream in my burrito.

Didn't want to believe all the negative reviews so I tried a small ground beef burrito. $7.50 in the trash. Just horrible wrapped in a burrito. Hope the next person believes all the negative reviews.

Two stars is just because the guy at the counter was very nice. Food was frozen microwavable. I ordered enchiladas. They were still frozen. Do not recommend at all

Had the medium burrito x2 @ $9.95 each with 2 waters, bill was $32.00. Chicken was unseasoned and tasteless. Service was fine but felt gouged. Won't be back.

I have a really good carne asada burrito here today. Never been to this place before and just happened to stumble on it. My burrito, chips + salsa, and Diet Coke totaled to $20 which was pretty steep; however it was worth the price IMO. I'll be back!

Haven't been back to this location since my onion experience , but hopefully me being truthful helped them step up their food preparation and service. That is one of the only times I've had a onion problem

A good down-home Mexican restaurant with great tostadas, chile verde, chile colorado, and guacamole. I see complaints here but I live in town and have never had a bad plate in 20+ years.

I asked for double meat and got almost no meat..they charged me for double meat though..dont recommend this expensive place

Best thing about my visit was the mexican bottle squirt! Not returning ever. Food was mediocre at best. Lettuce does not belong in tacos. Chips and salsa are usually free everywhere else, not here! My lunch was close to $30 dollars for 2 tacos, beans and rice. A drink and chips.

Good food and sweet owner that was kind and attentive! Atmosphere super low key but that works for me. We got veggie burrito and chicken tacos which we enjoyed.

I arrived just after the restaurant closed and a man, who I assumed was the owner, saw my disappointment and offered to make me something to go. We went with a shredded chicken super burrito with hot sauce. It was the best burrito that I've had in a really long time. Great hot sauce - super fresh and tasty! I devoured the entire thing. I appreciated the delicious food and excellent customer service but most of all I appreciated the owner's kindness in making me something to eat when he had just closed. That was a really nice thing to do!

Good food at great prices. I am a huge fan of El Molino because of that. I can walk in and get a small plate, which is one tostada and a side of rice and beans. I get it minus meat because I tend to eat vegetarian. It's delicious and it's a hearty meal. My husband and kids jump all over the menu trying different things. I've taken bites of their orders, but I found my favorite and I stick to it. Now, the place is a little confusing. They will do table service, but most customers don't opt for that because they're regulars. Feel free to ask for a menu and take a seat if you want to peruse the menu your first few times there.

$18.49 for steak Super burrito and can soda. Super burrito just slightly bigger then a can of soda. Taste was good that's only reason I gave them 2 stars.

Needing a quick bite while on the road a couple of carnitas tacos hit the spot. Out and about mid afternoon, the place wasn't busy except for two older gentlemen that were chattin' it up like regulars. The guy at the counter was super friendly, said he'd bring me my order and checked on me. Another guest came in and they were friendly with each other as well - another regular. Very nice family that runs this restaurant! Ty to the owners for being so nice as to make me a meal even after they have obviously closed for the night. I met the son and Father, and the son Jesus made the food for me! He was the one who offered to make something for me even though I noticed they were already closed. Ty Jesus! So nice I left them a good tip and a great review! If your in the area, come eat at Ell Molinos! They have beer too :)

I have been coming this this place since I was a kid! Love the food & mainly the rice. It's great homemade style of food!

I had high hopes, but the food was just "fine". Everything needed salt, and even the salsa (which looked amazing) was a bit bland. Three stars for friendly service and okay Mexican food.

A delicious and wonderful place to eat!! Post-procedure from the hospital, I wanted some fresh, authentic Mexican food that was easily on the way home. Google pulled up El Molino and we gave it a try. I loved the quiet ambiance and the immediate greeting at the door. My mobility is slightly limited, and the wait staff went above and beyond to accommodate - which sad to say does not happen often. HUGE win in my book. From there, the elderly waiter was very attentive, having gotten our drinks and orders very quickly. You could see the cooks working on the orders in the kitchen right away and everything was made fresh, even the chips and salsa. The restaurant was very neat and tidy, not even a dusty shelf. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared! I highly recommend if you love great Mexican food and great service in a calm and relaxed environment!

Came here with a few coworkers for lunch and it was pretty packed. Line went by quickly and we got our food pretty quickly after as well. I believe the owner was the man taking orders and serving and he was very polite and even made a few playful jokes with our table. I ordered the lunch special with enchiladas which were just ok for me. Came out cold and tortillas were not cooked all of the way. I really really enjoyed their salsa, very spicy and flavorful. I'll be back in to try something else when I want Mexican food since it's right by my job.

My family has been going to this restaurant for years. The staff are really sweet, kind, and have been patient with my large family including many kids. We've eaten in and done take out countless times and the food is consistently good. Definitely recommend.

Favorite Mexican place. Our go to spot for excellent Mexican food. Menu is somewhat limited but that's okay because the choices they offer are all very good and authentic. My favorite is the pupusa. I always ask for extra cole slaw - tangy, crunchy complement to the chewiness of the pupusa. And their carnitas is excellent! The tamales is a little on the dry side so could use some sauce. But has excellent flavor. We always order a bag of chips - thick and crunchy, not these super thin chips. Make sure you order the green salsa too.

I wanted to like this place. The staff were friendly and the place is quaint. But the food didn't do it for me. Everything but the rice was like soup - meat soup, bean soup, salsa soup. The beans were soupy and bland, the meat was sparse, and my chimichanga ended up too soggy to enjoy. 2 stars because the staff were friendly and the salsa was good with a little kick of spice as I'd requested. I will not return unless I'm craving fluffy Spanish rice.

Still loving this place. I wanted to add a picture and review of the veggie burrito that I had on my last visit. This is not what I usually order, but I was feeling especially hungry on this occasion so I ordered it wet style, too. Incredible. A lot of food (for only $9) but really good.

The entire experience was awful. Waited 20 minutes for two Al Pastor tacos that never showed up. The staff seemed confused. Will not return.

Came here on my lunch hour the food was horrible the carne asada had no taste taco trucks are definitely better than this. The super burrito had no sour cream or guac. Save your money and give your business somewhere else

Talk about the real deal.. Authentic as it comes and fabulous service. In a time where customer service has gone to the a low, because of COVID they all say, this place was a pleasure.

I've eaten here many times, and the food has always been great. Service is good. Traditional Mexican food at a great price. The shredded chicken and fish tacos were exceptional last time.

I think this is more of a sit down restaurant, but this place is terrible for to go. I asked for a super burrito with salsa on the side, didn't even get the salsa... I asked for chicken tacos and they gave me beef and my friend I got the tacos for Cant have beef... I went back to get chicken tacos and he charged me for the chicken tacos when it was his mistake!! I asked for a side of chips and salsa and he charged me 1.75!! This hole in the wall is terrible based on pricing alone! What place charges for chips and salsa.... The sauce isn't that good to need to charge...

Seemed very expensive - I had two tacos and a soda and it was just as pricey as if I hit the hot food bar at Whole Foods. At the bottom of my plate there was a puddle of water. Where did all that come from? The lettuce? The presentation of the food was good though... until I reached the swamp at the bottom. I really prefer knowing the quality of my food once it hits a certain price point. Another Yelper said that he was over charged here on two different occasions. I think that is what may have happened to me too. On the plus side it is a cool vibe in the restaurant and the guy working there was a cool, older guy. Outside dining is pleasant but you do sit inches away from cars that come and go in the parking lot.

My wife and I had dinner here, can't figure out why it's not crowded, very clean, delicious food & prompt service. I will tell others that are heading in this direction to make sure and try this restaurant. Wife had # 1 she thoroughly enjoyed her meal. I had the chili verde dinner, everything was very flavorful.

The street tacos at El Molino are delicious, as if you were eating them in Mexico! I forget about this hidden gem too often. Today I told my husband we need to eat here more often. The owner still writes down your order on paper...you don't get that anywhere around here. Yummy yummy! We will be back more often with the kids

In an area where you would expect to find more taqueria's with excellent food quality, surprisingly there are not any that come close to the food quality here. I can't seem to get past the spicy Chile verde. Just found out the mini burrito is meat only, which is sometimes just what you need. Plate, taco or burrito, some of the best in the tri-valley!

One of my favorite restaurants. I have been coming here since I was a child. The family has always been so nice. The food is amazing. The enchilada sauce is to die for.

Love coming here with the family, 7 people tonight and were able to push together tables and not have to wait a super long time. My boyfriend had the chili relleno and the chicharones. I have the child verde and a flauta. Too. Much. Food. Great spicy flavorful salsa and an at home atmosphere. We will be back!

We love El Molino! We've been going there for years. Our orders are hot, tasty and just what we ordered - no substitutions!!

It's edible. Got a tostada salad bowl for lunch. Lettuce was fresh. Carne asada meat was not particularly moist. Tostada shell, beans, sour cream, and guacamole were all okay. Around $9. No salsa bar. Chips upon request? Sodas and beer in the fridge. Service was okay. Better choices nearby include Los Pericos or Taquiera El Gallo.

Was in the little stripmall to grab some food from another place. They were unfortunately closed so I decided to try grabbing a bite here. This is one of those places I really wanted to rare higher because I love small family owned spots. Overall it was just ok. Fulfilling and satisfying but not amazing or overly impressive. Pretty standard taqueria food. The burritos were ok. Chile relleno ok. Salsa a little bit subpar. The people are super nice, the food is quick and it is a clean and spacious restaurant to grab a lunch. Id come back if someone else wanted to go, but I'd probably not do a backflip to go.

Wanted traditional Mexican food and this was close to my apartment. Sit down, made to order good food. Owner/staff pleasant. My husband got 6 taco's and they weren't stingy with the meat! I got a bean & cheese burrito with sour cream, 1 cheese enchilada and rice. Good portion sizes.

I keep coming back here for their chicken taco salad. Soooooo gooood.The people that work there are also very nice.

My family and I decided to give this place a try. We received a Val Pack coupon in the mail a while ago. I realized that it expired today so it was our choice for dinner. We were greeted by a friendly fellow named Jesus. He promptly seated us and served chips and water. We ordered and Jesus promptly served our food. It tasted good and the portions were large. It's a clean, family style taqueria and probably our new favorite. We'll be back for sure.

Not great... I ordered a 2 entree plate with a chicken enchilada and a chile relleno. The colors of the sauces on both were kind of brown and it was all very watered down with little flavor. The rice and beans were okay... They were friendly enough.. The place looked clean... I don't think i'll be back with so many other taquerias so close that are steps above this one.

So ya this place had a real homie like feel to it as to why it barely get that edge for that 4th star from me. They let me fill my water bottle, also typically restroom for customers only and before he even knew if I was going to order he allowed me to use it. Thought that was nice even though they have a sign saying customers only. The guy even remade my burrito cuz the cashier didnt tell him to add grilled veggies. So i ate maybe 10% of my burrito before he asked me if i wanted grilled veggies inside and i was like yaa!... soo there was something strange about the next burrito I got. Well initially i asked for light rice and my first burrito had just that but my 2nd burrito seemed like it had double the amount which especially did not make me happy. He came and asked me how everything was and I only let him know the detail that they give a baby slab of guac and next time id pay more to get more. I didnt feel comfy tbh with him asking how things were. I kinda was cliche and said good cuz i was not trying to bash his creation right in front of other customers as well. Also even though he made a second burrito for the sake of adding the veggies. It turned out it seemed just like the first burrito bt just with more rice. Maybe its because they dnt have black beans and he noted i was taking pictures and my first burrito I could barely touch with out it gushing out the insides and he wanted to add more rice so I could actually eat it a lil more like a burrito‍. So ya the place is kinda like you get what you pay for. Only had to pay 9$ and got a comfy environment where you could be left alone to eat in peace and enjoy the game.

Terrible food and service. Stay away. Gross undercook potatoes in breakfast burrito. Bland tacos and we didn't even get the right salsa we ordered. Business owner is an ass to deal with.

I feel bad giving this place a bad review because they were very nice. The place is just not clean and the food is bad. I had dead flies in the paper cup they gave me. We ordered the soup and it was awful. They had a bean dip and it wasn't bad but it needed salt. They need to get a new chef and focus on hygiene.

Love this place. Super friendly staff, delicious Mexican food. Can't beat the burritos. Love that it's close to work, too.
