"Waiting in line is an art, and at el Moro you get to put your patience to the test. Here you will have the choice to get in line for a to-go churro and drink, a different line to get some tacos or tortas, or wait in a third line for a table where you will be able to enjoy the same tacos, churros and drinks. The place itself has a rustic 1920's vibe to it, and the crew cranks meters and meters of churros every minute. This is a must visit if you want to taste some great churros." - Bryant Castro & Abel Coss from Open Late
"El Moro has been part of Mexican culture since 1935 when the first store opened in Centro Historico and has been well known for its great churros and long waits (worth it). Besides churros, you can get a variety of hot beverages. My personal favorite is the Especial, a bittersweet chocolate with cinnamon." - Arlette Go
A Gigantic New Mexican Food Hall and Marketplace Is Opening in Costa Mesa - Eater LA
"Grocery chain Northgate is going hard on a marketplace format common in Mexico with upwards of 20 colorful stalls and food options called Mercado Gonzalez, which will include famed El Moro churro stand from Mexico City, carnitas from Carnitas Don Miguel, tortas by Chiva Torta, and tacos by Tacos Los Guichos, available from breakfast through dinner." - Matthew Kang
I wish I never tried their churros- I had one regular and one velvet. Hands down the best churros I’ve ever had. I thought Disney churros were good. This was amazing!! Definitely get a red velvet one though- perfection!

First time experiencing a churro in Mexico and couldn’t recommend El Moro enough! It was fun to watch them make them fresh in front of us and they had the perfect blend of sugar, crunch, and doughy texture. Would gladly come back!

Lovely street spot for churros and hot chocolate. Both churros and hot chocolate were lovely. The hot chocolate took a bit of time to come, but the staff were helpful and friendly.

At night there's always a line, and for good reason! These churros are great - very crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside, lovely with cinnamon-sugar on the outside. Also tried the Mexican style hot chocolate, a bit less dense and with cinnamon, it was great as well. They offer other types of hot chocolate: Spanish, French, and bitter. Will have to try those as well!

I don't think I've ever had a better hot chocolate in my life than this place. The wait staff was friendly and gave my kids a free mini churro while we were waiting. They have many varieties of hot chocolate and you can buy it as a combo.

A must try spot in CDMX! Churrería El Moro is an iconic place in the city. You can find them all over. Churros are the best way to go, a nice cup of hot chocolate it’s also good. Their milkshakes are a solid option as well. He tried their consuelitos, churro ice cream sandwich and they were amazing.
