"The favorite offspring of farm-to-table destination Nopa, Nopalito sells a tamal de calabaza con mole coloradito during the holidays. They’re available as a plated dish in the restaurant as well as by the six-pack for takeout." - Becky Duffett, Eater Staff

"El Nopalito — operated by Rosalba Palillero, her mom, Estella, and their extended family — serves outstanding Mexican dishes in a cafe that’s as vibrant as the food. The tacos and enchiladas are fan favorites, but don’t miss the platillos, specifically the rich, spicy pollo en mole poblano. And keep an eye on Instagram for announcements when fresh tamales are available." - Kae Lani Palmisano

This is one of those rare places that got everything right. The service was amazing, and the food was delicious. We started with guac and chips. We got 2 sauces that came with the complementary chips. One was green, and one was a cream based sauce. Both were really good and spicy. Guacamole was great with fresh chilies on top. Chips were fresh. For the main entree, I ordered vegetable fajitas, which came steaming hot to the table and was mouthwatering. My sister got vegetable enchiladas with Verde sauce. She said it was great with a kick to it. Both of the orders came with a side of rice and beans. Vegetable fajitas also came with a choice of soup or salad. I got the tortilla soup. We both ordered horchatas. They were cold and sweet with a hint of cinnamon. Delicious. The portions were a good size. If you are in the area or even if you aren't, def check this place out. 10/10.

The best guac I’ve ever had, hands down! The homemade chips paired excellently with it too. I shared the mini sopesitos and they were great, not too heavy either. The birria tacos hit the spot! Tres leches was so light and fluffy, the perfect ending to a delicious meal. The restaurant is very small but gives a homey, “one of the family” feel. BYOB. Service was prompt and friendly. I can’t wait to come back! Also, the leftover tacos were even great the next day heated up in the air fryer

My friend and I went for lunch. The photos looked good. So that's why we went! Service wasn't great. After not being able to describe what's in the Nopal Special Soup. Told her we needed time to order. We had to flag her down after 10 minutes. It's a very small restaurant - I could hear the whole conversation behind me. Group behind me were older gals talking about their doctors appointment and surgery. That's something I don't want to listen to when I'm eating. Could have had music playing in the background. The food was below average.. Talk about no flavor, rich neighborhood- high prices- small portions. They deliver salsa to your table (green salsa verde and orange one). No chips, need to request chips and salsa - which are complimentary, which says in the menu (so why don't they bring out in the beginning). If I want more, it's an extra $2. I ordered tostadas. Usually, it comes on a corn chip. The chip tasted dry, and the portion was small. My friend got the mole chicken enchiladas. She didn't like it. 2 enchiladas Usually it's 3 at other places. Never again. The hostest was friendly and upbeat. Too bad she wasn't the server!

More of a gourmet style Mexican place. The plate did not taste like an authentic mole. Due to the community around the area I doubt that any one who has given this place a good review knows how an authentic Mexican plate taste like. If you like authentic Mexican food stay away from here.

This is a amazing Charming BYOB delicious restaurant. Prices are reasonable and portions are impossible to finish and something. You definitely want to take home to have Leftovers the next day. Everything tastes like it was made by your grandmother with the freshest ingredients. Definitely a gold standard in mexican food.

El Nopalito is a fantastic option for Mexican food in the area. Haddonfield itself has a wonderful atmosphere, which directly extends to the restaurant itself. My friend and I went on a busy night without a reservation, and we were met with receptive service who notified us efficiently when a table was open. We both got the Tacos de Pescado, and they were unbelievably good. The beautiful mixture of flavors rendered the experience unmatched among Mexican restaurants of the area. We also loved the included chips and salsas, which only improved the meal. I would say that El Nopalito is truly worth the price.

This place has the BEST birria tacos, hands down! Each dish I’ve had is always consistent and flavorful; the menu has a lot to offer. Don’t know the names of the sauces (green and orange) but they pack a lot of heat, which adds another level of spice and flavor. Great local spot for both takeout and dine in💗

Food was delicious. Birria tacos were one of the best I have ever had. Chicken burrito was delicious as were the chicken tacos. Flan and churros were delicious as well. Very attentive and very pleasant staff. Highly recommend.
