El Nutri Taco | Woodstock

Good quick vegan spot if you’re traveling through this area. This is probably the only location I would visit though because their other location is closer to better vegan options if I’m being honest. That being said, the food was really good for it not being a fully vegan location. Some places that do both meat and veg options fail terribly at the veg, this place isn’t like that. We had the vegan nachos and the vegan wet burrito, both delicious. The nachos were so good but the cheese was just okay for a vegan cheese (i think they could try out a few more brands and find something better like daiya oatmilk shreds or follow your heart) The wet burrito was good as well, the soy curl meat they make is delicious. The workers were very nice as well so that was great. Plus they have water in the lobby to fill up your own cup!

Love this place & we order from them at least 3 times a month! The food & service is great! Usually order the 3 tacos (chicken for me) & my family loves the carnitas or carne asada tacos. The burritos are huge & the taco salad is really good too! The food is fresh & the grilled onions on the tacos are the best! To go orders are fast & they even award points with each online order that add up to $ off of your order. Definitely recommend!!

I have lived a couple blocks away snd never went cuz the name threw me off..i assumed it was some sort of vitamin and veggie "hippy" burrito, I was totally wrong. It's great. Onky can seat like 2 people inside but outside has tables..interesting people watching right off 82nd..keep that in mind lol

Awesome soy curl burritos. Better service and attention than El Gordo for vegans. I love the odd location and it's inside now with a restroom. They did a great job on the new interior and exterior complete with a bicycle rack :)

Hands down best veggie burrito in Portland! Delicious, not heavy handed, fresh flavors.

Delicious, healthy and authentic. Love it! Cute little hole in the wall restaurant with kind staff and tasty salsas, burritos and guac! Can’t get much better than that.

Microwaved food. No flavor. Nothing was fresh. I truly found my self hating this place. To top it off I waited 35 minutes, when there was only 4 tickets ahead of me. I shouldn't be waiting for food that isn't cooked fresh.

Great selection, this last time I enjoyed the nachos (sauces available, just ask!) they have plenty of protein options!! They offer a bowl rather than a burrito for us gluten free people! Portion sizes are normal & as expected. The service is always excellent!! This location is cozy & clean. In colder months I'd plan on just pick up because there is room for maybe 5 people inside. Parking is just on the street, you will probably have to park a block over.

Love the chipotle tempeh burrito! The folks running the shop are always so sweet. I order from here at least once a week.

The reviews on Yelp and Google looked promising so my family and I came here to pick up nine tacos to go. They have all the basic meat staples and nothing more - pollo, carnitas, pastor, asada, maybe there was another one but I can't recall. Each taco is $2 and topped with onions and cilantro with salsa on the side. They don't give you limes here so if you wanted a squeeze of lime, you gotta go buy your own. Additionally, the tortillas here aren't corn, they're flour. The onions here are also cooked. Overall, these tacos were very small and an average person would probably need at least 6-7 to feel full. I got both pastor and asada tacos and couldn't tell what was more underwhelming. The meat on both were dry and flavorless - the salsa verde was OK but could not save the tacos overall. If you had me blindfolded, I'd probably struggle to distinguish the pastor and asada. Maybe tacos aren't the move here. I definitely would not recommend coming here for tacos when there are so many other nearby options.

We've come here for pickup orders and have been very pleased. My big thing is nachos and these are really good, fully loaded. The tacos are simple, but the chicken ones are the best - really tender chicken. We've tried the torta and burritos and have never been disappointed. Reasonable prices and food is ready on time. Can't complain about the portions or service. What's even better is that you can get items made vegan without sacrificing because they have many options. We'll be continuing to come here.

The wet burrito did not disappoint. I love how stuffed the burritos are with lots of beans, rice, and soy curls. The red sauce is not too spicy either. The only thing I didn't like were the veggies on the side. I felt like the chopped cabbage, tomatoes, and cilantro were soggy.

First time eating El Nutri Taco. I opened my torta and it wasn't cut. If I were at home no big deal but I was not at home. Second thing I noticed, zero limes or salas, what? Seems like two big oversights to me, not a great first look. The food is lightly seasoned, kind of simple. Is it going to satisfy that itch for deep SE Mexican food, no. Does it come close? Kind of? The best part is you don't feel heavy after eating it, I guess? I will give it one more shot and update my review if I have a better experience. The low rating isn't because the food was bad it's because they didn't pay attention to small details. Prices are normal.

Love the vegan- vegetarian- and meat options. They were very kind and quick to bring out our food. Everything tasted fresh and I loved the pickled jalapeños on the nachos! They have outside seating and thankfully the evening was nice outside so we enjoyed the patio a lot. Will definitely visit again.

Why in the world do places not include salsa? I genuinely don't understand. This was delivered and I'm disappointed and honestly it's not worth the amount I paid. I'm at a school, volunteering, where there is no salsa readily available. Why in the world would they do this?

I don't know how this place stays in business. I've only ordered here a few times cause it's close by to where I live. The rice is nearly white with zero seasoning, and the burritos are almost all rice. The tortillas are always dry and stale. No salsa, no hot sauce. Have no idea why people give this place good reviews. The lime wedge looked like it was sliced a week ago and was hard as a rock. The food is way too bland not to have salsa or hot sauce.

Really good and fresh burritos with so many veggie options. My favorite is the gigante. They love their spice though so be prepared or ask them to hold the jalapeños.

I've had this bookmarked for awhile, and I'm so glad we finally stopped in! This place is a veggie lovers dream. It's so amazing that you can go to a restaurant and have a burrito made vegan, vegetarian or if your into it meat!! And everything still tastes amazing. Self serve bussing and seating. They are lacking on the salsa options and everything from limes to guacamole has a fee. But if I'm feeling tempeh nachos this is my spot it's big enough to feed at least four people I didn't even dent it.. Enjoy

I don't find many vegan friendly spots in southeast and since I live in southeast it's nice to find a place I can access quickly , food is quick, fresh, flavorful and I love that it's not greasy nor salty . I had the fajita burrito and I loved it ! I like that the flavors are not bland and also not over powering. I really enjoyed it! My only suggestion would maybe draining the beans a little more before placing them in the burrito if anything... I really would like the idea of coming back and trying the plates or the tacos! It would be cool if nopales was available in the future . I love it !!! Keep it up

A tiny little taco place on the side of someone's house lol it's cute but a bit pricey for plain vegan tacos, it's not very filling either. Their Jamaica was $5 when a whole bag is $2. I get it; profit but it was very watered down. All and all I left still hungry.

This place looks way better on the outside than it actually is. On the outside it looks like a healthy and fresh tasting vegan/vegetarian restaurant, but it's just a knockoff. The tortilla in my burrito was super stale and hard to chew, as well as the ingredients being very bland. I was most displeased about the sauce situation here. They have a limit on the amount of sauce you can have...really? Its not like the sauce is special either. It's a basic salsa verde and red sauce which is already mediocre. I would think that after paying $9 for a burrito you would be able to get an ample amount of sauce, but not here.

We usually frequent the location on Alberta but we were going to be in this area so went to this location. Nutri Taco is usually our Mexican go-to because we are a vegan and non-vegan. We ordered the tofu chimichanga which was crisp and tasty, and a wet burrito with asada which he said was very good, even tho the sauce was a bit spicy. Staff was friendly, bathroom was clean.

Get the nachos! I'm obsessed with the pickled jalapeños, they are nice and big. I always come here for the nachos, the people that work here are also super friendly.

Delicious vegan options. Soy curls are bomb. Outdoor seating is great for dogs. Salsa was fresh and cilantroey. Decently cheap and large portions.

So like, whenever I end up in Portland, one of my winners of friends decide to hand me shots of vodka en masse and I tend to spend half my time hungover and crawling towards mexican food, water, Kim Jong Grillin or the other side of a casket. Point being is that I tend to end up here often enough and since I'm in the market to review food now since my girlfriend thinks I'm jokes or something idk, well I figured I'd talk about El Nutri Taco. So like...have you had Mexican food? Cause like this is done basically as well as everyone that has mexican food out there. That's not meant as an insult. Mexican food is "not broke, don't fix it" type of food. This place is basically just out of my distance willing to travel so I tend to stay at home, cry and get some nasty melty potato smear from Taco Bell, since that's in spitting distance. Yo can you move this place to closer to...anywhere? Like what's around there? Nothing. Dirt and suburbs. I mean yeah the food is good, but not like I'm gonna run 5kms to go get something like a veggie chimmi and say that was a time well spent. Hey, El Nutri Taco, pray that Taco Bell doesn't make chimmis, cause that would be the final nail in the coffin for you. Don't blame me, blame geography. Thems the breaks, kid.

I am not vegan or vegetarian but I don't eat meat unless it really ups the food experience. Enter El Nutri Taco, hands down the best vegetarian burrito I've had in my life. Better than all but a small handful of meat burritos I've had. Ordered the chipotle tempeh burrito and it was cooked perfectly with a great balance of veggies, tempeh, beans and sauce. They even cook the tortillas so it's not just a mushy mess on the outside. Staff is friendly and thorough and the place is clean on both the inside and outside.

Not for me. I ordered a wet burrito and it was mostly black beans smoothered in red sauce. The sauce itself wasn't authetic or particularly good. I was vegetarian/vegan for nearly 10 years and have had my fair share of good vegan places. This wasn't one.

The veggie food is always amazing, the prices are incredible and the wait time is like crazy fast. Would def recommend

Great food and great people. My only issue is in the Grub Hub app, it makes me have at add items for an additional cost to even add it to my cart. So I always have to go order in person versus pre-ordering and just picking up. That aspect needs to be updated, I just want as is and not be Required to add additional toppings just to get it to be added into my cart. Over all amazing little place..

Nothing compares to the Chipotle tempeh burrito. I thought about this burrito for days after and it has ruined every other veggie burrito for me. This place is my jam. I just want to be alone with my burrito.

Love el nutri taco! One of my fave things to get is the veggie taco salad bowl... so so good such a good filling meal and tastes great! Love this place a lot and highly recommend it! Great food!

This place is okay- their service is good and their timing is good- but their food is not my favorite. Kinda dry, kinda bland. I'd much rather go to El Pato Feliz Jr. Sorry, Nutri Taco!

VERY VEGAN FRIENDLY... But... Good luck catching them when they are open. This location closes down frequently during posted OPEN hours. Be it warm weather, cold weather or 'family emergencies', they are frequently not open when I show up to eat. Do yourself a favor and call them before going there. There is currently a huge amount of construction on site... Don't expect a quiet meal if you plan to sit on their property to eat. Bottom line - It's a food cart parked in the driveway of a residential property on the south side of Woodstock a couple blocks east of 82nd. There is no indoor seating, of course, but there are several picnic tables, some of them covered, if you want to eat on site. UPDATE... i'm so very disappointed. This place was one of my favorites. I really enjoyed their nachos but... They've started using a thin strip like chip in their nachos and by the time you get them home it's all just a soggy horrible mess. Picture pepper butts and stems. The beans don't even taste fresh anymore they're more like something out of a can and I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of their produce was as well. I gave them five stars once. I'm taking it down to two. Goodbye forever El Nutri Taco.

Ordered a tortas for delivery. It was delicious!! Exceeded my expectations. The food arrived earlier than expected, was carefully wrapped, and was a generously sized lunch. I would recommend!!

I love this spot. Super fresh ingredients and good size burritos. They have lots of vegan and veggie options too. If you're looking for a fresh, healthy spin on Mexican food I'd recommend. Not your average greasy taco shop- if you're looking for that I'd head somewhere else.

I'm Not vegan but was looking to try different options. Got the nachos and was not disappointed. Their hot sauce is legit. Will be back to sample more off of the menu. Not a lot of outdoors seating but a couple of picnic tables are available. Definitely give it a try.

On my mission to try every taco plate in the PDX metro... this one was one of my favs. In a residential area and a smaller place, but so dang good. The tacos were top notch. Rice and beans okay... good. We will be back!

It has been over a year and GOOD GOD THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. No matter what you get, put avacado sauce all over that biz. You won't regret it. This is a place for vegans, vegetarians, and carnivores to unite over delicious food. Don't let the location fool you. It is literally in their front yard.

Truly one of the best vegetarian bites I've ever eaten. I had two tacos and the nachos. The tacos are street taco style and have grilled onions and lettuce and pico. I got the Chipotle soy curls as my meat alternative, and combined with the red salsa they file out by the bottle, it made for the perfect bite! 10/10 would recommend.

I've chalked a lot of stuff up to inflation. Remember when gas cost less than two dollars? And I used to get Otter Pops from the ice cream man for 10 cents a pop. Ten cents! That doesn't even get you a gumball anymore. Anyway, I had bought into this whole -- "you can get a decent meal for less than $10" -- line. Even meals that came from windows of recreational vehicles. While $10 still doesn't seem particularly cheap, I'd accepted it. So today, when we went down to one of the food cart centers and saw burritos on sale for $7, it seemed reasonable. But I didn't have seven dollars in my pocket. I had five. On the way back to my house, I finally... FINALLY!... stopped at El Nutri Taco. I'd passed a million -- OK, well maybe 300 -- times, thinking how funny it was to see a taco cart and deck in someone's front yard, but I'd never actually stopped. Until today. I got a huge basic burrito and a can of pop for $3.50. Three-fifty! One one side of the window, they have an entire color-coded vegan menu. Their food is fresh and filling. They even have a couple of covered tables in an area behind the cart, which kept us out of the rain. And now I have the pleasure of saying, at El Nutri Taco, you can get a decent meal for less than five bucks. Five bucks, friends. Color me sold.

I love this place soo much, I come here regularly and loveeeeee how delicious and cheap the food is but I came in today and got my taco salad the same way I always order it and instead if being $12.50 (because I get extra salsa) it came out to $17. When I questioned the cashier about it she was extremely rude. I'm not too concerned about $5 but it took away from the money she would have gotten for a tip because i only brought in a certain ammount if money.

El Nutri is the best thing about my neighborhood!! I eat there a couple times a week now... because it's so delicious and so inexpensive! The people who make your food are very sweet and do a really great job.. but the prices are what really keeps me coming back. Oh... and the size of the burritos!! Talk about gigantic! They definitely can be split into two meals and taste great reheated too. If you are able to plan ahead, call in your order because they are busy.. so there's always multiple orders being cooked. But the wait has never been too long. The vegan options are endless!! Finally!!! Good vegan Mexican food! Thank you El Nutri!! We love you!

Why did I never find this place? Oh, because it is located near foster in a residential area.....Clever, very clever, but you can't hide from me food cart! The fire burrito is two meals all by itself, and is one of the best burritos I have had in a while. I have been meaning to come back here and try other things, but I just find myself getting the fire burrito again and again. I came here with my Mom who is vegetarian but is a lover Mexican food, and as we all know, there is not a lot in the way of vegetarian Mexican food, so she was very happy to learn about this place. She had the volcano burrito and in spite of not being a big eater, she managed to finish the whole enchilada, er, I mean burrito, she loved it so much. This place is great for omnivores and vegans/vegetarians a like and is far better than any of these tex mex chains that are everywhere, that offer veggie options. When I get back to Portland, I will be back!

This establishment was a pleasant surprise! Very friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of menu options- including vegan/vegetarian ones. Mini restaurant area was clean and bright. Bathroom was also very orderly. Service was impeccably fast! Plenty of seating outside. Definitely great for a quick bite or takeout. Will definitely be back!

Daniel is awesome! We come here almost every Saturday. He remembers our names and our orders. Food is really good and the people are equally amazing! I totally recommend this restaurant!

Do not eat here!! Moldy tortillas, raw meat, meat in the vegan burritos and very rude service. Try ANYWHERE else! After 5 years of trying to like this place, this week was the worst. My family will never eat there again. Rude younger lady working always messes up the order. Been sick twice from their vegan burritos. We've had uncooked raw cold chicking in a burritos before. Tacos with one tortilla thrown in a styrophone bowl upside down. Cold beans in the kids burrito. On top of that, very short and rude service. Enough is enough. After 5 years i will make sure all my friends and family never eat at this shit hole again, if they havent already stopped. I should of listened to them. Very very very gross place.

Something must have gone wrong with my tempeh burrito. Tempeh was undetectable, as was rice and everything. It was just a big bomber of uncooked green peppers and sauce. Currently super bummed.
