"This magical town has a new point of interest in ‘La Residencia’ at Belmond Hotel. There, inside an old oil mill that dates back to the 17th century and still preserves the original Mallorcan tafona (oil press), chef Pablo Aranda serves modern cuisine, with a strong Mediterranean base and Arabic influences, through two tasting menus: Deyá and Mayurqa (with prior notice, at least 24 hours in advance, they can also prepare a vegetarian or vegan menu). In the summer months, weather permitting, the dining room moves out to the terrace, which is truly romantic and offers incredible views of both Deià and the Tramontana mountains. Our recommendation? We particularly liked their lamb loin, which is remarkably juicy and excellently paired with a black olive crust, toasted sheep's milk and artichokes." - Michelin Inspector

The view at the restaurant is stunning, and the staff are very professional and respectful. We spent about 2 hours enjoying the Deya tasting menu. A few things to note: the flavors were a bit unusual and if you’re not into seafood, this menu might not be suitable for you. Two of my siblings don’t eat seafood, so they decided to leave the restaurant, but the staff mentioned they would still charge their cards even if they didn’t eat.

El Olivo – A Michelin-Star Experience Worth Every Moment Last night, my wife and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at El Olivo, and it was truly unforgettable. With its spectacular views, spotless service, and exquisite cuisine, this restaurant easily ranks among the very best Michelin-starred establishments we’ve visited worldwide. From the moment we arrived, the experience was flawless. Sasha, a fine gentleman from Tuscany, took incredible care of us, ensuring every detail was perfect. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The cuttlefish, in particular, was out of this world — a perfect balance of texture and taste. It’s the small touches that truly set El Olivo apart. In the dim, romantic lighting, the staff still noticed when a napkin fell to the floor and replaced it instantly. Wine service was exceptional, with an excellent selection perfectly matched to the dishes. Even before dessert, they quietly and efficiently cleared the salt and pepper — a subtle detail that most diners wouldn’t notice, but a hallmark of world-class service. Sadly, I’ve seen a few negative reviews of this place, and I can only say those people must not understand the exceptional level of service and culinary artistry achieved here. Bravo to the entire El Olivo team — you’ve created an experience that lingers in memory long after the last bite. We will absolutely return one day, perhaps to try the longer tasting menu and even stay the night. This was a dinner to remember, and El Olivo has earned a top spot on our list.

Dinner at El Olivo was a culinary journey. We had the 10-course tasting menu, and it was a beautifully curated journey through the flavors of Mallorca — from delicate seafood to traditional local dishes, each course was presented like a piece of art and tasted even better. Every bite told a story, and you could feel the chef’s passion behind every detail. But it wasn’t just the food that made the evening so special. The staff was incredibly attentive — warm, professional, and always making sure we felt comfortable and taken care of. The ambiance of El Olivo is magical: soft vibes, candlelit tables, and a view that takes your breath away. Overlooking the mountains and the neighborhood, it felt like the perfect setting for a romantic and relaxing evening. The combination of exceptional cuisine, stunning views, and the peaceful yet elegant atmosphere made it one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Mallorca. Everything was simply perfect.

You guys.. I was so skeptical about going to my reservation due to the most recent reviews. Plus I’m not really a tasting type of gal so I was nervous LOL. But when I tell you guys that it was just a phenomenal experience it truly was. Let’s start with the food first.. yes it’s not for everyone. I personally thought two of the dishes were a little too fishy for my tastebuds. I wasn’t going to say anything about it I just chose now to eat them but the server noticed and wanted to make sure I ate something I enjoyed so we went through some options of what I like and ended up having the lobster which was great. I love that! Most places doesn’t really care if you eat or not. Also at the end they asked me if I wanted to repeat any of the plates which I think is great because again it’s a tasting menu, I’ve never been anywhere where they offer to repeat a course. Atmosphere was obviously a 10. It was a non alcoholic night for me but they did have some sparkling wine that ended up being really good. Still made me feel good that I had some bubbly. Now service, I found the service pretty good! Do I think they can be better. Yes. But on very minor things like bringing lemon for my water. Other than that it was superb. One of the servers noticed that I was sitting with my bag behind my back on the chair and he brought over a table for it so I could sit more comfortably. I also liked how personable it was. They referred to me by my last name which is a very nice touch. They also offered me additional bread as well which isn’t part of the tasting again (well it is but just for that one meal). I get that bread may not important to many but when you’re not really into tasting menus that much and are a picky eater ima eat as much bread as I can LOL. Overall, the experience, ambiance, food were superb. So don’t be scared! Book that table and be vocal about what you may or may not like. I will certainly be back. Thanks so much El Olivo!

Going to this place was one of the worst decisions of my life… im convinced this place is an experiment to see what people are willing to pay for because there is no way you can charge $200 a person and feed them this stuff. I wouldnt even feed it to my dog lol they served us tomatoes and some nasty black noodles that tasted like the bottom of the ocean. The lamb was so bad that I had to send it back and they were getting annoyed but most reviews will tell you its the views youre going for and not the food which is a shame because this place has a lot of potential. If they had good food it would be a 10/10 experience but unfortunately they serve you the weirdest things such as a tomato for a serving 🥴 people around us hated their food too so glad we werent the only ones. Maybe they need to fire the chef and change up the menu idk but id never come back

Excellent experience and beautiful views. We were staying at the Belmond and it was a perfect connection.

It was the worst food I ever tried in my life! View is gorgeous but getting there is a hassle. Good luck getting a taxi back. Not worth the hype, probably my dog food would be more delicious!

We were looking forward to have a great night at this iconic terrace restaurant. But, on a sunny day, they refuse to do service outside their terrace. We would understand if it was raining or has a forecast of rain. But, the rain has stopped for hours and forecast said there will be no more rain. We have called to make sure a few times when the sun came out. But they insist that they will only do service inside. Just wondering if they really do want to offer the best experiences for their guests or what’s convenient for the staff.

Yelp
Food, service, and Ambiance were all top tier. As someone that has gone to many Michelin star restaurants, I genuinely believe el olivo deserves one. My experience was great and from the tasting menu, there was only 1 tasting I didn't enjoy- but my husband did. I thought the chef tied the courses very well and was creative with Spanish flavors from the region. I would absolutely recommend eating here especially on the outside terrace. Yelp
The dinner of my dreams. One of the best dining experiences with the most insane view We got chef Pablo Aranda's 10 course tasting menu and it was a whole feast. Their menu seems to change frequently based on what is available but on a high level, expect every course to be crafted with local ingredients. Reservations open 6 months in advance so make sure to plan it out early! Starting with Mallorcan appetizers, a tuna bite that was super delish, potato salad in a crunchy shell, and a red shrimp tart that tasted a bit too briny. Then they bring out a whole tray of bread with their in-house olive oil The oil is so fragrant and good, you can't help but CONSUME. Our first dish was a beautiful (peeled) ramallet tomato served with grilled strawberries and green tomato juice. This tomato was so sweet we thought it was soaked in syrup. Turns out they're just that sweet A gorgeous red prawn that they behead in front of you. Super interesting bc they use a French press to juice the heads and make a broth! Fish course is always my fav A beautiful sea bass with meunière sauce, poached spinach, and pine nut stew. I loved this. The soft nutty pine nut flavor worked very well. For the main, started with the tenderest piglet shoulder ever with crispy skin & celeriac puree. We were stuffed after this so the lamb course felt quite daunting. That being said, the lamb skewer was my favorite It was so juicy and delicious. The tenderloin was also good but it was a leaner cut which felt kinda heavy. Great accompaniments tho, I do love a parsnip puree. The parsely emulsion was shockingly bitter, thought I was eating grass, but it did a great job to cut through the meaty flavors. Honestly, felt bad bc we barley touched the second piece so I think they could reduce the portions. To end the meal, a pre-dessert with carob and date bread. Flavor wise, there was too much going on with the fennel, orange sorbet, and some kind of pistachio sauce, so it was kinda confusing. The final dessert is very exciting and hands on They bring out latex gloves and a beautiful bowl of chocolate(?) lemons filled with creme anglaise. You throw it at your plate and enjoy it with fennel foam and honey ice cream. Super light and the citrus flavor was a great finale Overall, this was such a feast so I think you would do better ordering the 7 course or a la carte. Not only are the portions huge but each course comes with side dishes so be ready for it. 10 Course Tasting Menu €200 내가 마요르카 온 이유 비행기 표 보다 먼저 이 식당을 예약했다.

Yelp
The view and ambience - 5 stars. Set in a super romantic restaurant with a fantastic view of Deia. Food: 3 stars. We tried some of dishes recommended by the waitress: sea bass tartare, rack of lamb, etc. Every dish is presented well but tasted mediocre, nothing exceptional.

Yelp
El Olivo @ La Residencia is in my top 5 best restaurants in the world. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, and the restaurant gives the most beautiful view of the town, Deia. The staff are very knowledgeable and attentive, helping us decide on one of the best crisp Spanish wines I've had to date. I ordered the traditional French lentils with egg, and a selection of chocolates for dessert. Both were fantastic, especially the dessert.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, friendly service. Food was extremely mediocre. I had an overpriced and overcooked fish filet about the size of my thumb. Also had 20 different people waiting on us, which was cool at first but became confusing and not sure anyone was even keeping up with us by the end of the meal.

Yelp
Stunning location, awesome food and committed staff! We arrived at Olivio at 9pm and were brought to our table, which has a fantastic view over Deia. The whole setting in the restaurant is super-romantic - if you're ever looking for a romantic dinner spot with your partner, this is it. You can also have an aperetivo before at their nice terrace. The Service was absolutely flawless to awesome. The staff deeply cared, we were recommended a really good local Chardonnay wine. The food is of course not cheap but definitely worth the price. Also the the size portions were definitely satisfying. The menu offers a broad variety from seafood to meat. Desert was also very good. Overall: Perfect service, really good food, super-romantic location. Of course Deia might be not around the corner from the Palma-centre of Mallorca, but it's definitely worth the drive (which is very stunning as well). El Olivo: Highly recommended. Disclaimer: I originally wrote a negative review for this restaurant, because when we tried it first, we had some trouble with the service. I wrote a complaint to the management, and I have to say, I've never experienced such a professional and courteous way they solved my inconvenience. Mr. Ulisses Marreiros, the general manager, came personally to my table and offered his apologies about our last visit, as well as Mr. Vincente Hernandez, the Maitre of the Restaurant. They really showed passion for keeping a customer and I do very much thank then for their generous invitation. If just every 5* hotel/restuarant would as deeply care as they did if a service glitch happens ... Kudos to that. Thank you again Mr. Hernandez and Mr. Marreiros
