I went to the El Paso Zoo recently and I honestly forgot how nice it is. From the moment you walk in, it just feels calm and enjoyable. Everything was clean, organized, and easy to get around, which made the whole visit stress free. It didn’t feel packed or chaotic, just a good vibe overall.
The animals were actually out and moving around, which made it way more fun. You can tell they take good care of them because the enclosures look well maintained and natural. The Africa and Asia sections were my favorite, especially seeing the elephants and big cats. There’s also plenty of shade and places to sit, which is a huge plus with El Paso weather.
What I really liked was how friendly the staff was. They were helpful, patient, and you could tell they genuinely enjoy what they do. I saw them talking with kids, answering questions, and making the experience better without being over the top. It feels very family friendly, but it’s also a great place for adults to just walk around and enjoy the day.
Parking was easy, tickets were reasonably priced, and nothing felt overpriced or rushed. You can take your time, enjoy the exhibits, and actually relax. Whether you’re going with family, a date, or just want something chill to do, the El Paso Zoo is worth it. I’d definitely go again and recommend it to anyone visiting or living in El Paso.
