The 34 Best Outdoor Restaurants In London - London - The Infatuation

"On a sunny day, El Pastor's terrace outside Battersea Power Station is the place to be. The mood calls for margaritas (even if it’s a Tuesday), platters of short rib, and great baja fish tacos drizzled with tangy verde fresca. It’s an excellent group spot, but the vibrant terrace can turn a quick after-work Mexican dinner for two into a fun evening." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna

London’s New Restaurant Openings

"El Pastor are opening their fourth spot in Battersea Power Station. The Mexican restaurant will feature similar dishes to the others—tacos, tostadas, margaritas—plus a new weekend brunch menu. We recently checked out El Pastor. Read our first thoughts here. " - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

El Pastor Battersea - Review - Battersea - London - The Infatuation

"Come to El Pastor for tacos, and stay for the holiday-like energy. On a sunny day, the terrace outside Battersea Power Station is the place to be. You can count on at least a couple of margaritas on each table (even on a Tuesday), platters of short rib are wiped clean, and baja fish tacos are drizzled with tangy verde fresca and finished in three clean bites. Yes, it’s a fun group dinner spot, but the hectic, vibrant dining room and high counter-like seating on the communal tables inside can also turn a quick after-work dinner for two into a lively evening. Dishes that start off as good are elevated to great with the addition of the salsas which range from tangy and mild, to fiery once you reach the 'del vic'. The ceviches are lime-heavy and excellent, the guacamole is welcome during all parts of the meal, and the outdoor terrace is just the cherry on top when the weather is cooperating. photo credit: Teo Della Torre photo credit: Teo Della Torre photo credit: Teo Della Torre photo credit: Teo Della Torre photo credit: Teo Della Torre Pause Unmute" - Rianne Shlebak

I recently visited this restaurant and had a great experience overall. The food was genuinely delicious. The spicy chicken taco was packed with flavor, and the taco with chorizo and cheese was really nice as well. The rib steak was amazing and definitely worth trying. One thing to keep in mind is that if you’re ordering meat, it can take about 30 to 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Other than the waiting time, everything else was excellent.

My family and I came here for dinner on our last night in London and it was incredible. I wish I would have gotten more photos of the food but it was too yummy to even stop and snap a pic. The chicken taco was amazing, spicy but flavorful. The steak quesadilla was incredible and so were the soft shell crab tacos. We had dessert too! The salted caramel ice cream was delicious and so was the corn dessert. Order the salsas! They were delicious! We had no problems with any of our food, it was beyond excellent. Our server was so friendly and prompt and the environment was relaxing and clean. Definitely stop by!

Honestly…meh. The tacos just didn’t hit. Tortillas weren’t fresh, flavors & smell were flat. We went all in; pastor, brisket, chicken tinga, and chorizo with cheese and let’s just say, nothing saved the day. Pastor was dry, brisket too spicy, and the chorizo was almost inedibly salty! We also ordered guacamole, which turned out way too runny. On the bright side, the vibe of the place is fun and lively, and the service was friendly. But to be honest, we came here craving some seriously good tacos 😒 and unfortunately, that’s not what we got.

The new Mexican player in town is here! I love Mexican myself, and this place sure got the job done. Right off the bat we ordered the chips and dip. The dips are so delicious and unlimited!! But sadly the chips aren’t…. So it’s a bit of a cheek play from them and we did not order more. The tacos were very delicious and filled to the brim which was great. We only tried the Al pastor but I imagine the others are great! We also got the sharing platter short rib and this was Awesome!! They break up the meat, and you get unlimited tortillas (but not chips?!?) and the plate also has plenty of toppings and all to add. It was delicious. Of course the margaritas…. They have one of the biggest selection of margaritas I’ve seen for London and they were delicious! My only complaint is they’re very expensive given the size of them but they are good at least. Good vibes in the restaurant, staff are nice, and all round a solid spot. Definitely give it a try if you haven’t already

DELICIOUS TACOS IN LONDON?! Okay, okay hear me out, I too was skeptical but after turning every other restaurant down that my husband suggested as we tried to figure out what we were going to eat for dinner, we walked by this place and decided to give it a try. Let me tell you, it was one of the best meals we had while we were in England for an entire month. Before we get to the food, I must give a shout out to the staff who were so warm, friendly and attentive. What we ordered: The short rib tacos for sharing. I am not exaggerating when I tell you it was DIVINE. The meat was so well seasoned and flavorful and it was literally falling off the bone. No, seriously, they bring it to your table, bone and all, and shred the meat for you. It’s served with unlimited tortillas and some fixings for your tacos such as pickled red onions cilantro, etc. Caesar salad: A good solid caesar salad. Not the best I ever had in my life, but it was fresh, not too much anchovy in the dressing and came with a ton of shaved parmesan on top. Elote corn: nice and flavorful, corn was not soggy. Great smoky flavor from the grill. Guacamole: fresh and flavorful. Margaritas: Well balanced, not too sweet and enough alcohol to where you could taste it but it didn’t make you grimace. I ended up ordering 2. Beer: Not sure which beer, but my husband said it was his favorite one he tried our entire trip.

I had a fantastic experience dining here! Our server, Ciro, was exceptional and provided wonderful recommendations for both food and drinks. I especially loved the Mezcal, particularly the El Pastor Batch. We tried the Tuna Tostadas, Beef Steak Quesadilla, Baja Fish, and both side dishes, and everything was delicious and of great quality. The ambiance is modern and inviting, making it a lovely place to enjoy a meal. I highly recommend it! Expect to spend around 35-50 per person. Ciro Mille Grazie

My server was great with good energy. The food arrived promptly. Food was flavorful. I had the duck carnitas, the only thing I’d say about that is it was a little dry but the flavor was good. I would definitely go again.

A solid spot to satisfy your taco cravings, serving up the essentials in a laid-back setting with decor that blends rustic charm with casual elegance. The staff were warm and efficient, adding to the welcoming vibe. The beef tacos were flavorful and well-prepared, using quality ingredients that really hit the spot. The salsa had a decent variety — the first two on the left packed the most flavour and were most mild in spice heat— and the tortilla chips were a standout: crispy, not greasy, and perfectly salted.
