It's nice to see such a beautiful establishment be added to this community but I feel that's where the upsides end. Everything looks and feels the part of an upscale lounge and bar. But the following through was lack luster. We ordered the seafood Montague and lamb chops. Both were fairly priced and had good taste but were plated poorly ,like it was on a whim (i.e. lamb chops had ketchup swirl 🤔). Entrees don't come with any sides and GRATUITY IS ALREADY INCLUDED! so this led to bland and inattentive servers whom were more interested in hookah and each other than working. go for drinks or take out but customer service and wait staff need a refresher. So much potential.

First visit here and it certainly won't be the last! This place has a wonderful ambiance with vibrant neon lighting and elegant decor. There is a lovely bar with a fantastic selection of liquors and multiple TVs placed so you can enjoy your food and drink while watching a game. This was a soft opening and they had a fantastic turn out. They brought out a majestic tomahawk steak expertly prepared and it was a showstopper. This is a great sign of things to come because they are going to be a steakhouse/lounge. The bar staff was friendly and attentive but my only critique is that they need a bit more experience to handle more complex drinks and the volume of people ordering. The outdoor seating was fantastic as well and they even have a bar location there where you can enjoy your libations and puff a cigar. Once they get the amount of staff needed to handle the foot traffic and get more trained on bartending this place will be the perfect hangout to grab fine dining and enjoy drinks, hookah, and cigars on a lovely night out!

I wanted to give a fair review & scoring. With this being the first week of official opening, there are some areas in need of improvements. So the break down is by categories. AMBIENCE (5 ⭐️) - Very chill atmosphere! FOOD (5⭐️) - Everything was seasoned & tasted so good. My husband went in a whim and ordered the Tomahawk Steak (MW). And we absolutely loved it. It was moist, tender and cooked perfectly. Job well done. I had the Seafood…crab cake was good, but hunny that LOBSTER was heavenly. Sweet, perfect crunch, not tough…just overall perfect. DRINKS (3⭐️) - Need some work. A lot of our drinks didn’t taste how it should. It was either too much liquor or not enough liquor to even get a hint of it. I did have a drink called Sunset (not the Aloha on the menu) because I saw another table have it…not that was delicious! CIGARS (5⭐️) - Husband loved it! Enough said. HOOKAH (4⭐️) - Flavors was good but we had a long wait time. FYI to future goers, the QR code doesn’t bring up hookah menu, you have to access the home page of their website, scroll down and click on the astronaut to get the flavor menu. MUSIC (4⭐️) - The band was on point but the singer was pitchy at times with frequent ad-libbing. Overall it was good. SEATING (4⭐️) - Inside was pack, outside patio was quick and easy. We chose to sit out on the patio. SERVICE (4⭐️) - Overall good. It did feel a bit under staff. Just from my experience, I feel that the servers could use a little more training on the menu items. It was their first week, so it may get better over time. DECOR (5⭐️) - I was only inside for a quick second but from what I can see the decor looked very chic and classy. It definitely did give an upscale vibe. I used a star rating calculator on google. Overall, the average of stars is a 4.3. We visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening around 7:30p. We would like to visit the restaurant again maybe on a Sunday when they are doing brunch.

Listen, this place delivered on every level! My bestie came here a couple of weeks ago and the 3 of us went tonight. We got there about 645 and left at 11pm. We enjoyed the atmosphere and mature grown folk crowd. As the night went on, the crowd got larger. That wasn't surprising considering the location. Great food and music coming from the live band was a street stopper for many who were passing through. We sat outside. The breeze was blowing and ceiling fans going. No issues with insects. There was a fly or two but not enough to drive you crazy. Our server Tia was AH-MAZING! Kind, patient and sweet. All of the staff was pleasant and professional. I went inside to use their restroom and it was very clean. The food .. what can I say! It was seasoned just right, plentiful and fresh! I ordered a Cobb salad with a whole flounder. ( I cheated😉 ) I didn't know a meat topping came with the Cobb salad. Chicken, salmon or shrimp. I requested shrimp. 😳 I had no idea that it wasn't popcorn shrimp. Lol That was a meal by itself for me. Lol Everything was so good and that band kept it going and going! There is nothing like this place anywhere in Charleston and finally, a spot for mature grown folk. The Montague Room is a must. Check it out!

We decided to visit because this establishment was near our hotel and based on a few of the reviews. I emailed earlier in the week to find out if reservations were necessary, and I wanted to ensure a band would be present because we were celebrating my friends birthday. I never received a response but decided to give it try anyway. This is a very nice place and has the potential to be phenomenal, but there are a few things that need to be corrected. Our server did the best that he knew how to do, but it was obvious that he hasn't bern properly trained as a server. Our food came out in no particular order. Food: The flounder was fresh and fried perfectly. I have had this dish at a few other restaurants, and it always has a chutney or some accompaniment. It was also served on a bed of lettuce, which I didn't understand because the lettuce was wilted and there wasn't any salad dressing. My husband had the lamb chops (3), which he enjoyed, but he would have enjoyed better wo the drizzle of BBQ sauce on top. My friend enjoyed her steak, and her husband enjoyed the surf and turf. We thought the sweet potato fries should have been cooked longer because they were soggy, and the green beans were a bit bland. The loaded potatoes were excellent, as well as the cobb salad. The drinks were excellent. I think the owner and chef should sit down and revamp the menu to include at least one side with an entree. For the money we spent, I just expected a little better experience. One check was $140. The other was over $180. When spending this amount for dinner, the expectations are higher.

We visited the Montague Room on Saturday night. The atmosphere was nice and clean. Our waitress was Jordan and she was a total vibe. Her customer service was A1. Our table all order something different. The salmon and brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection. I also had the apple martini that was delicious. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food to include lamb chops, baked potato, salmon, mashed potatoes, and the combo plate. My husband bragged on his side potatoes all night. The crabcake could have been better. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because their is an 18% gratuity added to all checks and the other entrees didn't come with sides for the price, but overall we will be returning.

My husband and I visited this establishment on September 15, 2023. We had such a bad experience, it’s taken this long to calm down and write a review. Now, our waitress was very nice. She was literally the only good experience we had that night. I ordered the shrimp pasta and it was HORRIBLE! The shrimp texture was rubbery with no flavor. They tried to accommodate me by giving me more shrimp and it was the exact same. I honestly believe they used cooked shrimp and just tossed it in the sauce. My husband had the whole flounder and it wasn’t terrible, but certainly not worth the price we paid for it. I ordered a side of asparagus and it was literally mush when I cut into it! I was just so disappointed with the quality of the food… and to make matters worse, a door was broken and every time it closed, there was this screeching noise like your nails scratching a chalkboard. I usually take pictures of everything, but I had to hold my ears for so long that I didn’t even get a chance to take pictures. I did manage to take 1 picture of my shrimp pasta though. Needless to say, we haven’t been back since… If we ever go back, it will be for the music only! I sincerely hope their food measures up to their prices now… The setting/decor was beautiful, but the food was a dealbreaker for us.

OK, first of all, my review is late. I celebrated my Bday here in November (Scorpio). Michelle was the best she was so nice and professional with coordinating my bday plans. This place is Top tier from the staff, FOOD SUPBERB, drinks, atmosphere, Decor and the Band on the outside patio always entertaining. BEST IN THE LOWCOUNTRY BY FAR!!!!!!!
