Cheerful, neighborhood restaurant featuring familiar Mexican eats & cocktails in a bright interior.
"Broadmoor rejoiced when this cute corner cafe opened in 2015, as chef Lindsey McLellan quickly positioned it as a casual, family-friendly neighborhood joint; low-key and welcoming, reasonably priced, and most of all, delicious. The tamales, mole, enchiladas, and all-day breakfast dishes are highlights of a succinct, fresh menu, and the drinks are some of the best in town, using fantastic house agua fresca game to liven up its margarita selection. If there’s a watermelon margarita, order it." - Clair Lorell
"This Broadmoor gem serves top-notch Mexican specialties for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. In addition to a breakfast burrito with carnitas, potato, egg, pintos, cheese, salsa ranchera, crema, and pico; El Pavo serves breakfast tacos Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m., for $2 a pop." - Clair Lorell
"This tiny joint in Broadmoor was BYO when it first opened, but now uses its fantastic agua fresca game to liven up its margarita selection. The selection changes seasonally but if they’ve got watermelon, definitely check it out. This place doesn’t really have a bar, but the only thing better than their margaritas here is their food, especially their traditional Mexican breakfast items (available all day) so sit down and tuck in." - Beth D'Addono, Clair Lorell, Eater Staff
"Luckily this tiny Broadmoor Mexican spot serves its breakfast items all day. With an excellent version of the traditional huevos, this place will leave you feeling happy, and not just from the food. The people are great and the seasonal margaritas are better. It has a killer chilaquiles too." - Clair Lorell, Eater Staff
