Love the use of apple as a decoration, simple and effective. Food is playful and good, very good value too.

Great restaurant in Salamanca to have a gourmet meal in the city with fresh market food. The menu de Mercado is a exquisite selection of dishes created specially for you by the talented El pecado’s chef. A huge selection of wines at a very good price.

Amazing food with nice surprise inviting Falafel as a starter. The taste is fresh and unique, suitable for a nice dating meal. The waiter/waitress here were kind and well-serving. We enjoyed the time here. Recommend.

Difficult to find, looks like a winery at first bit when you go up you find a cosy restaurant with excellent food and passionate staff to ensure a lovely experience.

Quite simply amazing and inventive food in an elegant setting. We had the tasting menu and weren’t disappointed. The staff were delightful and attentive. Don’t miss this gem!

Had the cod and it was a good choice. Our lovely waitress comped us some lentil soup in essentially a shot glass that was both warm and filling on a somewhat cold evening. You will not regret this dining choice!

The most pleasant dinner experience I had in Salamanca – amazing service and incredible food! Great communication, quick service, and a sophisticated menu with plenty of vegan options!

This was one of the best meals we had while in Salamanca.. The croqueta with Iberico ham were really special and the steak we shared was excellent. We stopped it off with the French toast abd hazelnut ice cream. Yum! Our server was friendly and efficient. He steered us to the French toast and gets credit for it. We shared a bottle of Gudejo which was a perfect compliment to our meal. The atmosphere isn't terribly warm, but our server made us feel welcome. Lots of steps to the upstairs dining room.

Yelp
We came in simply because the menu outside included a LIST of vegan options and they were all €12.95. Nothing on the menu over €20! (We fed five for less than €100 - note: no appetizers or alcohol and just one dessert) Vegan options at the time of this review: Quinoa and veggie soup Seasonal salad Veggie tartar (veggies, lime, ginger, avacado) Hummus and pita Moroccan-style tabouleh Rissoto w/zucchini Veggie (fried) spring rolls w/orange sauce Thai-style noodles and veggies And... The veggie burger (with carrot sauce) We ordered a single order of bread to start (€1) and also got two little shots of spiced garbanzo soup with it. We heard the server make sure it was vegan before she brought it. Tasty and a warm welcome on a cold day. I'd order a whole bowl of it if I saw it on the menu. Our server recommended the rissoto - an excellent choice. It's made with wheat and a creamy sauce, with zucchini and carrots mixed in. Portion size was perfect. If you can't tell in the photo - it's a pretty thick cylinder! Overall - impressed with the food quality and the service. Vegans rejoice. If you're eating with non-vegans - everyone will be happy!

Yelp
First of all, the photos on here are massively out of date. This place has obviously had som kind of refurb at some point and does not have any of the garish pink walls or zebra print. Instead they have done a modern yet tasteful look with branding that I love. We visited on a Thursday evening and after spending a few days in Salamanca soon understood why El Pecado wasn't doing a roaring trade. It was quite expensive compared to it's competitors. Now I understand what they are trying to do... what they are 'trying' to do, is be a 'fine dining' establishment and this is reflected in the prices and the presentation of the food. Now they are not quite a fine dining restaurant but this does not mean that they aren't doing lots of things right. The food we had was great. Not fantastic but certainly delicious and I enjoyed every part of my meal. I particularly loved the prawns I had as a starter and would definitely recommend them. The service we had was also very good. Maybe a little slow considering there was only one other table, but still I left satisfied that our waitress had attended us well and with a smile. Overall, I would recommend this place to eat... but I would suggest having the set menu at €25 for 3 courses as that would seem much better value than our bill which I thought was far too steep.
