We’re doing the North Coast of Spain from Santander to Pontevedre and so stopped in Cudillero for one night to rest. We walked into the town and was caught by a bit of rain but knew we wanted to eat here; the town is beautiful but what was spectacular was this restaurant! The service and the food was delicious. We ordered zamburinas, a simple salad then the pulpo stew and sole, prawns and clams; the flavours were exceptional and really showcased Asturias’ traditional cooking. The wine was also fantastic - even the receipt was nice! Would definitely recommend this place - staff were nice, prices very reasonable, ample parking and literally a walk into town

We dropped in here as it was a 10 minute walk from our hotel. When we arrived, there were 2 guests, when we left it was full! We had sole, clams and a mixed salad (mixed salad in Spain includes tuna & eggs and is a meal in itself). Great value.

The food here is very good but I was a little disappointed with the paella my friends who had been a few times before said it’s the best they have ever had so took me there while there was fantastic ingredients probably more than I have ever seen in a paella before and all cooked well I was a little disappointed the rice had not soaked up the flavours in my view it was good but I have had better the rest of the food we had was exceptional And the staff very professional Ansd pleasant

Outstanding paella, every single fish on the plate was cooked to perfection. Moiste, just slightly creamy rice packed with flavour. Come with heaps of shell fish from mussels to prawn and crabs. Symply Outstanding.

Delightful place. This is a high quality restaurant and hotel a little above the steep roads of the main part of the city. The staff is exceptionally attentive and eager to please. We only ate there once for breakfast and it was a veritable feast with home made croissants and pastries, high quality ham, a creative tortilla with ham, and fresh squeezed orange juice. The serving size was more than we could manage and it was all just $12/person. The breakfast service didn’t begin until 9 a.m, which seemed a little late. The room was immaculate. Small, but very clean and well furnished with high quality linens, towels, and toiletries. We couldn’t have been happier with the room. It was quiet and comfortable. Be warned that it is a rather long, steep climb down to - and back up from - the town itself. The town and the views are super unique and it is worth the effort. We didn’t try driving down to the town, but that might have been better if we could have found parking. Overall, Cudillero was a blast and El Pescador was a big part of our enjoying the place. Highly recommend.

Visited here for dinner when staying nearby. Disappointing experience given the high ratings. Giving a 3 / 5 , which is rounding up because the desserts were very good and I suspect we ordered the "wrong" thing as the other dishes ordered by others looked better. After being told the mixed seafood platter for 2 was not available ( and we did not want paella ) we ordered the two daily recommendations ( cuttlefish in ink and tuna like stew ). The stew was nice but not exceptional . The cuttlefish was only just hot enough and just average . Language may have been an issue but sorry if you have house recommendations they should be the best you can offer. I am pretty sure a mixed seafood dish could have been concocted from the various dishes I saw being served !

Cannot compliment enough how great this place was! Amazing service and fresh seafood, had to ask for the last dish to be wrapped up because we were running late for the bus and the staff helped us look up the time and gave us directions. Food was amazing even cold after our bus trip. The stuffed chipirones in ink (was the menu of the day) was nearly life changing. The mussels were super juicy and fresh. Just fantastic.
