The Best Restaurants In Wilmington, Delaware - Wilmington - The Infatuation

"You might drive past El Pique and think it’s closed. But go inside and you’ll find one of the best taco shops in Wilmington. They do all kinds of tacos on homemade tortillas with meats like carnitas, tripe, and tongue. The tamales are excellent, generously filled, and moist, but if you only order one thing, make it their consommé: a hearty stew of spicy lamb broth with tons of rice, chickpeas, and chunks of lamb. You could get it with a quesabirria taco, or simply by itself by the cup or quart. If you don’t, the owner will probably stick his head out and offer you some." - maddy sweitzer lamme

This was a pleasant surprise. The tacos were absolutely phenomenal. They also gave us a sample of their lamb stew which was super tasty. They have a large number of different meat flavors, and various spice levels. The pricing was also very good and there is a parking lot. We would absolutely come back again and will. Update 8/31/23 It was nice to stop back after a long time, but unfortunately when I come by here they are usually closed. They are pretty much open just for lunch hours. The tacos are still good and they rearranged their dining room a little bit.

This is the best spot in DE! My cousin and I come here faithfully for the quesabirria! No other spot compares to their birria tacos (I’ve tried plenty). They are so crispy, cheesy and flavorful! The customer service is phenomenal, they are so sweet! Our food is always fresh and yummy! I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone! They have so many great menu options.

Best Taco Spot I have been to in Delaware so far. It’s a Mom and Pops shop and the customer service we received was very professional. Me and My Wife were served quick and the food was Great, Grand, Wonderful, Phenomenal, Stupendous, Tremendous and All Of The Above. I Highly recommend this Taco Spot. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.

I think the birria tacos are a little overhyped, the flavor is not good, the tortillas have no flavor. The meat doesn’t taste seasoned. The Consume is overwhelmed with onions and cilantro, and that’s all you can taste couldn’t eat it all. Feels like a waste of money.

Food was really good. They charge too much for tiny sauce cups. I had a torta and chicken burrito. It was good.

This is unacceptable to serve anyone! It took so long I didn’t even realize this was what I got until I was right about to eat it. I like their Sopes and birra tacos. I will stick to that and never order a burrito from here again!

This is by far some of the best Mexican food I've ever gotten, the birria tacos are incredible. I will certainly be back again soon. I highly recommend this spot for some amazing authentic Mexican.

My first time here. The meat choices were overwhelming luckily the cashier didn't pressure me to hurry up. I had the #9 tostadas with beef tongue, seasoned lamb, chicken. My first time trying tongue, I couldn't tell difference between chopped up steak, which I guess is a good thing?? I had the order to go and everything was in the normal styrofoam containers but also wrapped in Saran wrap so nothing could leak out which was nice. Definitely will be going back with the Wife probably for taco tuesdays.
