$1 Taco 🌮Tuesdays! Al Pastor was good. Small portion but value at $1. Just buy more. Horchata wasnt too bad. They use natural wood 🪵to grill/smoke the chicken 🍗🐓which we didnt have a chance to eat. Be forewarned, the place is run down 🤪. The business focus here is good food and not capital improvements to the building. There are no places to sit down to eat. You either take home 🏠, eat standing up 🧍🧍‍♀️🧍‍♂️, or eat in your car 🚗 . This place meets the dictionary description of hole in a wall. This is real Mexican 🇲🇽 food, this ain’t your Taco Bell or Chipotle. This place gets packed quick right after opening at 11am on Tuesday.

My wife and I like to try different Mexican food eateries. We had heard nothing but positive reviews about this place. We showed up about 530 pm. We knew it being Taco Tuesday and the tacos being $1, not to expect to much. We ordered 10 asada tacos. What we got was the tiniest bit of meat that was so salty that we couldn't eat it. The salsa was kept in a cooler and self serve. I don't mind self serve but.... People standing over it with half smoked black and milds in their hands and picking their butts, was to much. I won't return, not because the food was bad, but because it was very unsanitary. I have worked in a dozen restaurants in my lifetime. I know it's hard work and harder to keep things clean and well kept. This place didn't even try and that's not acceptable.

We love the flavors and smoke. However we got sick this last time. All of us. Dude walked in dogs out. Freezer doesn't look like it keeps food very cold that's attached to the build. Omg what happen? Invest back in your own building.

I’ve driven by here many times and been blasted in the face with that aroma from the meat that’s cooking on the grill. One can only drive by so many times before giving in and grabbing some tacos. The tacos were good and I’m glad I finally decided to give them a try! I’ll be back to grab some chicken next time. I believe you’re able to purchase a whole or half a chicken. Perhaps this weekend mmmm.

Ordered 10 beef, 10 chicken. Looks, fantastic!!! Beef was better in our opinion due to excelante’ seasoning!!! What a good deal though! Feels like you are in Mexico! It’s like a mini vacation! One of those, “Must try at least once” type of places. I’m really impressed at the way they don’t try to overdo it. Case in point the sign that they’ve turned around so that it is showing good side out to the street which says, “tacos one dollar”. The people there seem nice, they’re pretty busy. I couldn’t tell if the Sodas in the cooler were free with your purchase, I asked but we didn’t communicate so well. Mostly because I don’t speak Spanish I think. And the free condiments were running out when I was there but that’s probably because there was three people and one guy was cooking, another guy was making the meals and the lady was working the register, taking the money so they were very busy. Don’t let the scary looks from the street not being a commercial place scare you this one is worth a try! And if you found this review helpful would you please like it and share?

First time here and we tried the chicken lunch special that comes with a drink- so good and large portion couldnt even eat it all. Nice smoke ring on the chicken so flavorful and juicy. You can get different sauces, cilantro, and onions on the side. Def recommend. Update: went a second time portion sizes small and they forgot tortillas and peppers/onions..ok maybe an off experence. Go a 3rd time super small portions of chicken we got- it was so dry it was powdery and couldn't even chew it at ($13 for lunch special) Sad because we really liked this place.

I purchased a chicken and asked the vendor for a fresh one. However, the chicken I received tasted dry and burned, as if it had been grilled the day before. The vendor insisted it was fresh, but it had a strange taste and was not enjoyable. 10/18/2024 3:30 pm

Muchos ‘cluck’ for your buck! Wichitans: you won’t find this place on Google, but if you drive by it you will not forget the intoxicating aroma until you’ve done some follow-up research (as I’ve just done). It’s a no-frills roadside stand offering whole-roasted wood-smoked (!!) chicken and beef/ pork tacos (meat on a rotating spit sliced to order). Even better- they have a side ‘bar’ and give you cups to fill your choice of salsa and diced onions/ cilantro, or add straight to your tacos. It’s a busy place, so patience is needed but it’s well worth the wait for the perfectly flavored meats. The value is above average as well- $22 for a whole chicken with hearty portions of rice/ beans (and slice of grilled onion/ jalapeños)- enough to feed a family of 4-5 I think. Do your taste buds/ family a favor and patronize this delicious, authentic, family-run establishment! I guarantee you will forget all about Colonel Sanders!
