Overall the food was as expected for this restaurant. The service was great the restaurant was a little dirty, but other than that everything was fine. I like that they still have a soda machine available. Unfortunately like most of these restaurants now they don't offer a salsa bar anymore. The parking lot is pretty big and the air conditioning is working real good on the bathrooms well kept.

We have a family of 4. 2 adults and two kids. The family meal 8piece was perfect. Good price and to have leftovers is the best. We went through the drive thru and we were in and out so fast!

Came through the drive thru for lunch today with my husband. It was hot, approx 95* out. Asked for 2 cups of waters to go along with our meals, like we usually do and was appalled by what they gave us. I’ve gotten water cups from el pollo loco before and they’ve always been generous, use a regular drink cup, lots of ice, a straw and a lid. Today Deborah decided to give us tap water in doggy dishes instead. She said they ran out of cups but there was literally a mountain of cups behind her. Do I look like a dog, Deborah? To add: where is my gravy?

Ordered a Chipotle Chicken Burrito and was stabbed in the gums with a very sizable sharp bone. I do not recommend this restaurant. I've worked in the food industry, and in the food handlers courses (which is law to have to work with food) teaches about physical hazards such as this. I recently had dental work done and to be greeted with my gums being stabbed by this was not pleasant at all. I bled badly and now am sensitive to the touch on my lower bottom front teeth. This needs to be dealt with promptly. They are lucky I didnt choke.

I waited over 15 minutes for an order that had been seating on a counter halfway, it seemed like the employees were concentrated in their conversation and they noticed mistakes were made and laugh at them without worrying about customers waiting. Tuesday at around 4pm I like the DT service and the food but dinning area is a mess

This location is always a gamble. Hubby was picking up food and I got a Grande Chicken Bowl. I opened it up and it was nothing but super dry, burned and hard end pieces. Had to dig for the tiniest pieces that were edible and there were hardly any. I think we're going to start going to a different location because something always happens with this one

Chicken was well seasoned. Broccoli was steamed well. Service was fast and polite. Only complaint I have is that the churros could've had more cinnamon sugar on it and the mashed potatoes needed more seasoning. 4/5 solid choice for a quick meal.

They are skimping out on each time they serve a "double chicken bowl". Does this look like a double scoop of chicken? this has been happening every damn time and i persist to them this is nothing like what is advertised. Going to stop going to this trash location.

Going to stop spending my $$ at el pollo loco. I ordered a 3 piece meal and it only comes with 2 tortillas now! How hard is it to think rationally that someone ordering a 3 piece meal is prolly going to use 3 tortillas! If el pollo is that greedy that they gonna charge us extra for a regular amount of tortillas then I'm going to be rational for them and give my business to some one else. so after going to a few other locations in the IE, I've noticed some shady business practices from this specific el pollo, First off if you're ordering anything tostada or bowls, they will skimp on the chicken. Trying to order the chicken on the side to get the right portions they will under scoop the portions and still give you less, they also switch the type of chicken out *from breast beat to some mix of meat and skin chopped* to avoid giving the meat in the portion they're supposed to. NONE OF THE EL POLLOS DO THIS BESIDES THEM OFF CALIFORNIA IN CORONA. It's a double bowl, 2 scoops of chicken right. Why is this location playing with their CI's like that? cutting corners just makes consumers go to a different location. The gm has reached out before to fix issues but the issues remain to happen to not only me, but my family and other people i know that go to this location to eat. Take your business to the location by the 91 off main. If i'm paying 24 dollars for a single meal because I ordered extra chicken on the side DO NOT CUT MY PORTIONS. IF A PRODUCT ADVERTISES BREAST MEAT DO NOT GIVE SOMETHING OTHER THAN BREAST MEAT.

I was on my way to visit my granddaughter's and thought I would drive thru and order them drumsticks (leg's) to eat throughout the day. I ordered 8 and was told the most I could have was 4. This is a CHICKEN on the menu drive thru. How disappointing. I'll go to another El Pollo Loco next time and hopefully there isn't a limit on how many chicken legs I can buy.

Each time that I've been here the staff are always reluctant to give me the amount of salsas that I ask for. Today I asked for 5 green salsas and they told me they were experiencing a shortage of salsa and so they could only give me three, "Are you okay with that?" If this is true, this is a reflection on poor management. I'm not sure what their excuse is for the other days. It's interesting because I don't experience this at other Pollo Loco locations. The one on Main Street gives me the exact amount of salsas that I ask for. Additionally, this location doesn't seem to adhere to the business hours advertised online. I came here on Christmas Eve, since the Pollo Loco website said they were open, and they were closed! I spoke to the manager and requested a refund for my order. She was very nice about it and was able to give me a refund. However, I do not plan on coming back to this Pollo Loco location for the reasons mentioned above.

My name is Karen, I have dined at a few El Pollo Loco, My go to is every thing, but mainly the Mac and Cheese, and Chicken, I have dined in Orange County I do not know how you prepare your Mac and Cheese, but it is awesome, it is creamy and the noodles are extra large, and the chicken, is fresh, and juicy, my girlfriend brought me dinner last night, and I still have the food in my mouth it is that good, the service for my girlfriend was awesome, the restaurant is clean, and tidy and the rest rooms are clean, the parking is easy access, it was and awesome experience. The people are happy you can tell by the way they are chowing down, their is plenty of sitting on the inside, and they take care of their presentation on the outside. Ate an entire avocado burrito. A few minutes later I was getting horrible stomach aches. I look at the few pieces that I missed and they were RAW! I am currently feeling like throwing up! Ruined my day! Do you guys not do a final check to see if the chicken is cooked?!?

It has been a while since I have been to an El Pollo Loco. I had a bad experience a few years back at a location in Anaheim, and I haven't really been back to one in a while. This is a close location to home and offered to get the family food tonight. My youngest likes the chicken cheese rolls, and my husband got the Nachos. I tried the chicken avocado street tacos, which were delicious. The drive thru line was long and slow moving, but once I got up to order and finally the window, I realized they seemed to be understaffed. They were all working hard, and I couldn't help but say they were doing a great job and keep it up. I will be back, service with a smile, and our order was perfect. I totally recommend this location and just have some patience as the staff is working hard to get all your orders done as quickly as they can!

Absolutely I would recommend El Pollo Loco because they have a superior menu. I've never been to any store of El Pollo Loco's where it didn't taste exactly the same as one of the other stores in a completely different community.. menu is impressive. Super tasty delicious.

Received my food through the drive thru. No napkins. Employees are so quick they forget to give the necessities. Got a chicken salad and a Baja shrimp taco. Paid $13. Taco was messy. Not the best. I've had better.

Service is horrible. (Roxanna) They need to do a better job with learning the system. I don't even work there and I know you can substitute the chips for mash potatoes and it's just a dollar difference. Na. These girls want to charge it on the side because they get commission and bonus from charging people for what they do not want.

We cater lunch to our office from this location very often and we are always satisfied with the service and consistency. We often purchase large orders and we've never had an issue. It is always done in a timely manner and everything we have put in the order is always correct. Our agents are always satisfied with the food and we are happy with the price. First off, 5 stars to the workers, you guys are great, and it's my favorite El Pollo Loco. The 1 star is to get Corporate's attention. Apparently, it's now policy to give one salsa per order. I asked for 6 avocado salsas in the drive through (3 per each of the 2 tostadas I ordered). When I went to pull away I noticed I didn't get them, so I asked for a couple more. The young woman working said they are not allowed to give more. Now, corporate, the correct answer should be, "We are permitted to give out __ salsas per menu item, would you like to purchase more?" I told this anecdote to my mother who told me she tried to purchase more salsa, was refused, and the gentlemen literally said, "I'm not going to risk my job to give you more salsa." Your employees are under duress to not give out too much salsa. Do you not see a problem with that? Why can't we just buy more? This is not the poor workers' fault that are just trying to abide to what they're told. And to the worker that day, I'm sorry if my surprise came as sass. We went from an open salsa bar to this. Save some salsa, lose a customer I guess.

I came here yesterday with family from out of town and was incredibly disappointed with this place. First off, the health department was performing an inspection while it was the lunch rush and having food unavailable. Second, Debbie was so rude to customers that it made us uncomfortable. Third, I had asked for creamy cilantro dressing for a salad that my family member ordered and they tried to charge me for it saying that it's free for salads only. When i said they got a salad, they still refused. Needless to say, I will not be returning

I came her one evening to grab a breast and wing combo for dinner, and had the worse el pollo loco chicken I've ever had. The breast had skin missing from it and was dry af. The sorry excuse for a wing was dryer than the mohave desert. I barely got any chicken meat off that thing. It's disappointing having to pay almost $8 for extremely dry and low quality food. What a waste of time and money. Update: received an e-mail from the general manager offering a replacement meal. I always appreciate when the head honchos in charge care about making things right.

Well I did it again, went to this EPL ( on California St) instead of the one on Main Street and unfortunately I got the same result. I saw the ad for the carnitas and I love carnitas, so I figured it should be fine. WRONG!!! First of all, over $8 for 2 tacos! The amount of carnitas in each taco was a joke, the meat that was in both tacos together is less than what you would get in the average carnitas taco. They fill it with so much cabbage and salsa you could hardly taste the meat. Then the tacos were so soggy, not good. I can't say for sure the Main St EPL would be better, but have a feeling they would. No matter EPL needs to stick with Pollo. As for me, will stick with Main St location.

Giving a two because the double chicken bowl wasn't bad. But just look at this taco.... The saying "a picture is worth a thousand words" pretty much covers this review. Ever heard of changing the fryer oil Corona, EL Pollo team (California ST)? Doesn't take a food handlers license to figure out that's what went wrong here. Sheesh! Definitely money gone to waste on that taco; as it was not edible. I really should be compensated.

This restaurant chain is conveniently located near my home. I have ordered a few times but I never seem to win. I've ordered ahead and placed my order in drive thru previously. When I've ordered my food via the app, they always "forget" to add salsas, napkins etc. I've even asked for salsas when I arrive only to be told "theres already some in there." When I go through the drive thru, the same happens. I understand they get busy, but dont like being rushed out to get to the next customer because there's always something missing. After many attempts, I have finally given up and choose to not go back. I wont really comment on the food because it tastes just like all the other Pollo Loco restaurants.

Hi I like Pollo Loco it's healthier than other restaurants. Today I went with my family Sunday brunch but I was disturb because the gentleman that took my order was named Juan I gotta say if your going to discipline your employees for whatever reason take them to the back be profesional don't do it in front of everyone, I felt un comterble listening to him talk to this young teenagers they way he does. Once again I went through the drive through and again the cashier handle the food and cash with no gloves , I reminded the manager last time that it's against the health department for an employee to handle cash and Hadley the food without gloves . It's totally disgusting and against the law . The health department should take a visit .

Tonight I went to this location to buy dinner for the family. I purchased the family deal 12 piece chicken and the trimmings. I brought it home to find I bought jerky. It was so dry my dogs would not eat it. That's pretty bad. What happened here? I will not return until I see an improvement. Tracy W

I am surprised to see so many negative reviews because the service and food quality I received in the drive through today at peak lunch time was very good! I got the 12 piece family chicken dinner (for dinner) and we also tried the chicken & beef burrito grillers and my husband had a chicken queso burrito (both of these for lunch). The grillers were excellent, very tasty. My husband like the burrito but said there was too much avocado, he likes the regular chicken burritos instead. I didn't think you could have too much avocado :-) I also tried a piece of the chicken from the meal, it's excellent, cooked just right. We haven't tried the sides yet but the order was accurate and the associates gave us ample amounts of salsa and tortillas. We will definitely return to this location. Love their chicken!

Have been here a handful of times and everytime I do it is delicious. Chicken is never dry, service is good, and the food is hot and fresh. I hope El Pollo Loco expands more locations to other states, like Minnesota. My family out there loves EPL. Love the seasoning on the chicken.

This El Polo Loco (on California and Ontario) has the BEST Double Chicken Tostada. I have gone to several other locations and they're nothing like this place. Here it is fresh and has all the ingredients. Other locations throw it together missing items that are to be included and it doesn't look or taste fresh. I don't know how a "Chain" could be so different but it is. I'm never going to a different location again.

Ordered double protein bowl with shrimp and it was horrible. The shrimp over cooked and rubbery - rice flavorless - and if this was a double portion - I could fit the entire meal in a thimble. Also how do you give 6 shrimp when it's a "double"? For a regular order do you only give 3 shrimp? Thanks for my $9 bowl of hard, flavorless, anything but double bowl.

We are stuck in the drive thru and can't get out. Maybe you ran out of chicken?! How have we been in this line for 20 minutes and haven't even placed our order. This is so ridiculous. Definitely don't pull off here for food! Hit the long in n out line. I guarantee it's 10x's faster. What a a joke.

We used to love this location. Went here all the time. It is horrible now. Tonight our chicken was burned so badly that it was rock hard! There was hardly any meat on them to begin with. Was shorted the gravy. The churros were horrible... rubbery and no cinnamon. It truly seemed like everything was left overs and reheated.

They used to be good, but lately they get your order wrong more often than not. They dont give you the salsa you ask for. Last time they gave me no salsa even though I specifically asked for it. This time I asked for 4 of each of the three salsa, a birria meal, a quesadilla, alcarbon tacos a taco salad and tortilla soup. They shoved everything in one bag smooshing all the food. They gave me three salsas total which I couldnt tell because of the atrocious packaging so I asked and they told me they put it all in the bag which clearly they didnt . I ended up recieving no birria burrito, an extra quesadilla I did not ask for, the soup which was a hot drippy mess, and tacos. Not to mention the fact that one of the quesidallas was only half wrapped, gross. I think they shove so many things in one bag so that you cant tell they butchered your order.

I used to Come here all the time because the chicken was amazing!! But the last few times, the chicken has been burned and so dry that we had to go back. It's so uncomfortable going in to complain. I haven't gone back for months. And we used to eat here on a weekly basis. Hopefully management can tell the chefs to stops over cooking the meat.

Pretty good location. Came here for a quick lunch and there was a line out the door and every seat taken which really surprised me. By the time I figured out what I wanted (why do they have more than 10 different salads?!!) it was our turn and by the time I stocked up at the salsa bar they called our name, perfect timing. I had the mexican cobb and it was pretty big and worth the $7. My husband had two chicken tacos, pass, the tortillas were horrible, and a chicken bacon quesadilla which he enjoyed. Service was very nice, the place clean and the salsa bar stocked. I like their rice and black beans and for not being a fan of chicken, I do like theirs, which has a nice grill/char taste to it. Not worth going out of my way for, but a nice and easy lunch.

Went through drive through right now the guy taking the order was rude and was like " ok what else " interrupting me, got to the window he just stared and didn't tell me the total so i handed the card and he handed me the bag of food and walked away customer service is awful.

Ordered thru the drive thru with 92 Vanessa, nice young lady, to bad they could not get my 4 items correctly to me. I ordered 2 double chicken tostada salads, 1 double chicken bowl, and 1 street corn chicken tostada. 4 items. The receipt was correct. When I got my order at the drive thru I noticed only 1 item in a tostada bowl, there should have been 3 tostada bowls, then every item did not have the correct ingredients in them, some had corn that should not have had. Total mess up. When I told Vanessa about the tostadas she gave me 2 tostada bowls. And this is not the first time they have messed up my order. But this is the last time I eat here. It is a total waste of my time, because the order will more than likely be WRONG!!

I wondered why this pollo loco was not busy during lunch hour. Now I know. I found a strand of hair in my salad! This is DISGUSTING. Whoever is preparing the food should be wearing the appropriate wear for this not to be happening. Management needs to step up their game. This is no acceptable.

El Pollo Loco is right... you have to be "Loco" to pay good money for this food. We've been several times , but tonight was the final straw. We purchase an eight piece with two side and the Chicken pieces weren't even recognizable. It was all hacked up and had a few pieces tossed in that may have been part of a neck. The overall condition of what we did receive was very poor quality. The wings were skin and bones, and the two breast and thighs were chopped and didn't appear to be whole piece. If this wasn't bad enough, we didn't they give us two side choices we didn't ask for. There are a lot of choices in the area. A KFC is in the same center and a Flame Broiler is across the street. Free food, coupons or just feeling sorry for them couldn't drag me back. I truly don't know how this location stays in business. Update: El Pollo immediately commented on my post so I gave them a call. I told them that I since this is a franchise store, I'd like to speak with the District Mgr. about the number of 1 star reviews the location is receiving, the poor quality of food that is being severed and the ongoing type of service the community is receiving. I pointed out that I'm not looking for a free meal, but as a business owner too I know that the only way to bring about change and improvement is to make others aware of problems. I've learned through this experience that El Pollo Loco only goes through the motions by commenting on our post, but in reality they don't care about those of us who patronize this Store or the residents of Corona.

On May 20,2020 had to go back 3 x because they messed up the order to go no compensation today Thursday May 21 they messed up entire order when I got there they only had 3 drinks not all 4 so had to argue that point they get the drinks wrong and then they forget one of the meals and removed rice from all the bowls when it was only 2 of the 4 and we were shorted a bowl. No compensation was made for the last 2 days . Awful management should have comp the meals today and nada but 3 errors and try's yesterday and again with multiple errors I'm done Never again poor business skills and management.
