El Pollo Loco

Very disappointed. I paid $23 for a chicken avocado burrito with no beans I told them add extra cabbage if possible ….. they didn’t even put cabbage . My son ordered a chicken tostada plate had to return it get another one and that other one didn’t come with sour cream. I returned it and ask politely if I can please get sour cream because it does come with it and I kid you not they just barely added sour cream they minus well not have put none ….. I wouldn’t have mind paying for it … won’t be coming back here

I ordered the Original Pollo Loco Bowl. The bowl cost $5.00 without the drink. The total for the bowl was $5.51z The service was very speedy and customer service was great. Now let’s get to the reason why I am writing by this review. Mind you I buy the Original Pollo loco bowl everytime I go to pollo loco. So many locations they all aren’t the same quality. This location was not it. Just seeing it I knew I was not going to like it. The rice was mushy pollo loco rice shouldn’t be mushy overcooked without flavor. Pollo loco rice has a specific texture and flavor. The cilantro was not even cut huge stems that makes it weird. The flavor of the chicken tasted old and it was not diced chicken it was like shredded chicken. The tomatoes tasted way past their prime. I wouldn’t recommend this location. Being my go to place to eat a quick meal I was so disappointed I couldn’t eat the food. I took my order to go.

The chicken was well flavored and juicy. My daughter who is a picky eater likes coming here. Not a great place to vibe to though.

Was craving a chicken tostada salad and my husband stopped to get it for me and he has such a hard time. First he orders and tells the lady he wants the pico on the side and she’s saying multiple times that it does not have pico when indeed it does. He gets home and it has some old pico on the salad some hard pieces of rice that’s probably been sitting there and some hard pieces of old chicken. How hard is it to listen to the customer or even when making it and you see it doesn’t look good why would you put it on the salad ?

This El Pollo Loco fire roasted their chicken flavorfully with the crisp on the edge. The meat was tender and juicy. Our pallets were satisfied with the tenderness of the beans and the melody of all the spices in harmony. The customer service was excellent. We mattered at Ep Pollo Loco today!

Second time ordering a pollo bowl here, the ratio to rice and chicken is insane. Almost no chicken just pure rice and beans.

Well it was a pleasure that I went that evening! I had a delicious meals, my first time trying Keto burrito 🥰yummy, also the costumer service 👍🏻😉☺️ was awesome... La muchacha! Very nice person, polite and didn't had to wait longer, chicken bomb🤩 everything is so delicious, I went today again, so I had no complains, yummy food and good price plus great service 👍🏻 I do recommend this place, jus be patience is there's a line of waiting, sometimes and anywhere else we have to wait if we like something. Worth it the time! I guess 🤔😉

I’ve let a lot of previous issues slide with this specific pollo loco location, but I feel like today was definitely the last straw. I feel like anyone with even the littlest bit of common sense would know better than to serve this old avocado, but judging from the other people’s pictures, the manager let’s the employees do this all the time. I also circled the sour cream, because as you can see, I think they gave the last of the very bottom of the tube and didn’t bother refilling it. Worst of all, I couldn’t even take it back because they didn’t provide me with my receipt. I fully understand that things happen, but at this point, if you’re paying $10+ for a meal, I don’t expect a picture perfect bowl, but definitely something I can confidently eat without having it make me sick. Needless to say, a lot of the chicken was hard enough to knock someone out. This is the last time I make the mistake of coming here.

Employees arguing as they make our order so free entertainment! They always have an attitude so that's always exiting Lesli and Dennise I believe it's her name have beef so I can't wait until they throw hands! Great experience!

The wait is insane. Just to take your order they take a long time. They don't take your order until they service the car before you. Like until they give the car in front of you their food and their change that's when they actually take your order.

This is the second time I have to leave a review ! We made the mistake to come back to this horrible place we order a double chicken bowl and a shrimp tostada salad. Both the chicken & Shrimp were burn it was horrible . We didn't get utensils and no napkins & straws. I called to let them know about the chicken & shrimp being burn and they didn't answer. Don't come to this place Bad costumer service and the food was horrible as well.

I went to this el pollo loco location off of Long Beach blvd about a week and a half ago ago and order an el polo bowl combo with tortilla chips and 2 sides of cilantro dressing. Once I got home I realized they only gave me 1 of the 2 cilantro dressing I bought but that wasn't as big of an issue,so I started nearing my food but a little into eating I bit into a chip that was so stale and hard that it loosened one of of my molars, I've been in pain for over a week and a half and limited to what I can eat just because of the stale chips I got from this location, I would've wrote this sooner but I've been in so much pain that I couldn't do much for a week. Don't waste your time, money, or risk your safety here.

The customers service that Destiny gives is amazing. Very patient and attentive. I love when she's at the drive through window.

I had been craving a Dos Locos Salad for a while now. I decided to mobile order and this is not the first nor second time this happens. But everytime I show up to pick up, it is never ready!! Last time I had a curbside pick up, I waited over 20 mins outside and STILL had to get off to ask and they hadn't even done my order. So anyways, long story short - there was no parking today and the drive thru line was empty so I decided to drive by and pick up my mobile order. I checked in and of course it was not ready. One, the tacos were broken in half and smashed and two, I got home and they failed to give me my dressing. Also, my Coke was completely flat and they put no ice in my drink. Another thing, It I'm not mistaken the picture they advertise has 4 nice looking tacos, I got two smashed and ugly tacos. ‍ I understand being short staffed and what not but cmon, this is ridiculous. Don't advertise a very nice and appetizing plate and then provide crap to the customer.

I went through the drive thru and the service was amazing. The cashier, Destiny, was very helpful, she didn't rush my order, and she answered my questions. The lack of customer service at fast food restaurants definitely being down my motivation to go to their restaurant, but this was a pleasant experience and I'll definitely be back.

This pollo loco place is super awesome Destiny provided good service through my drive thru order!

3 Piece Leg and Thigh, not the first time they give me dried burnt chicken. Even when placing a mobile order in advance.

went to this location. And they were out of CHICKEN. it's in their damn restaurant name and they ran out of it. Ridiculous. They proceeded on telling us that they would give us coupons and nothing. Stupid as heck

One of the worst pollo locos I've ever been to. Chicken was super dried out, avocado was almost black. I'm never one to complain, but this was unacceptable.

This is a follow up review from 11/14/21, On 12/23/21 I got a follow up message from leaving my yelp review followed by leaving a message at corporate wich was suggested, The email apologized for the inconvenience and offered me a meal at the price of 25 dollars. I went to try and redeem it today 1/8/22 at approximately 5:45 pm, the drive thur w line was extremely long, so I circled around and decided to try to park, tried to go in the door was locked, a security guard came out and told me they were cleaning up and preparing to close and had no available food, then pointed to the note on the door of the early closing time. 2 stars for follow up,will give another review upon receiving my replacement meal.

I asked for a double chicken tostada salad, and I got this master piece. I guess I will go have to hunt the rest of my pollo because this was not it. This is utterly sad, and I don't normally post bad reviews. So with that said I am so disappointed. There won't be a next time sadly at this location I could say I hope others will actually add the pollo in there and not just charge me the extra pollo with no pollo.

As I walked in I immediately noticed the floors looked as if they hadn't been mopped in quite some time. As I walked to the register my feet were making that sound when the floor is sticky and your feet get stuck. Quite honestly the only reason why I didn't leave and went elsewhere is because this is the nearest pollo loco and I was already in a rush. The food was descent besides ordering two Chipotle burritos and the chipotle being almost non existent... To top it off, as I mentioned earlier I was in a rush so I forgot to check my bag, well....once I got to my destination I was extremely disappointed to not have a single salsa or napkins....just disappointing. I love El Pollo Loco....but man I find it hard to imagine myself going to this one again.

Drive thru doesn't work no microphone or service the window order people ignored me then asked to go around and order since they can't apparently provide customer service to order thru the window. Small parking lot no where to park and make you go around. Customer service terrible like most fast food places these days.

The food was good! Went on my break at work and it was fast service too. Staff was very friendly and the place looked over all clean.

First things first, i love how humorous/playful the guy at the window was. I've worked in food industry for years and this is a great way to engage with the customer to leave a good impression. That being said, you can't be engaging with a customer and giving them good service and then get their order wrong. We're human, and we make mistakes, i understand. But you can't get an order wrong, twice, even when you've repeated the order back to make sure it was correct on your side from the beginning. Overall, I'll give them another shot another day.

I waited in the drive thru for 20 mins and when I finally was able to order I was told I'm only able to order a whole chicken. I don't understand WHY there wasn't a sign or a staff member notify customers instead of letting me wait in that long line to order just to be told that. PATHETIC AF

Again, if you can avoid this pollo loco please do so. I decided to give it another try! And AGAIN I get home and my order is completely wrong & missing items. I know fast food service can be demanding at times, but that's no exscuse for being sloppy with how you give customers their food. This is the second time this has happened.

Try to give pollo loco a2nd chance.. Walked in it smelled like sewer..waite in back of 1person took 13 min to order 2 bowls.. I was hoping I was next ..Keep dreaming. Registered girl left to talk to someone else in the back Five minutes pass no one at the register.. I counted 8 employees..not one at registered.. Fuck this place seriously..

Ordered the $5 chicken nachos combo. Order and extra leg on the side. Came home to see this minus the chicken leg that I paid for. Chips soggy, guacamole looks old, chicken is old. **update** went back around 2:30pm on 11/24/19. This comes after the comment and response from El pollo locos team. I appreciate the comment and the email.....HOWEVER, I think, at this point, there needs to be some type of training. Chicken was burnt one again, food was horrible... once again. This will not be a location I will patronize again.

Unfortunately, very unpleasant experience with this pollo loco. The food quality was very bad. I was served hard and burnt rice. And I honestly did not have much food on my classic tostada. I hope this review can improve their food quality.

Don't come here. I was super hungry so I gVe it another chance. I shouldn't have. They had no corn they did not tell me when ordering. The flour Tortillas whete stuff and cold They had no napkins!!! What kind of Restaurant doesnt have napkins? The tables where filthy and I could not clean they because there were no napkins. The cashier took my order with a bad mood. Oh, and the salsa was tasteless. I have been to far better El pollo locos with amazing salsas, I will never return here. The manager and owner really need to pay attention to this store. Writing this Review to remind myself to never come back.

Definitely definitely not recommend this place who was horrible manager was horrible the bathrooms were disgusting and to this day I still have not received my refund coupon from the corporation has been over 2 months

I order food from this place for delivery and the chicken was very burned. I ordered mash potatoes and didn't get the gravy nor salsa. I will never use their delivery service again. Worst service ever!

The quality of the food is good (I ordered a chicken tortilla soup) . BUT every time I go here my ordered has something missing . This time I ordered a chicken tortilla soup with green peppers on the side . I got the soup . NO green peppers . No tortilla chips for my soup . My advice ~check your order is complete before leaving the window.

This is the poorest chicken tosta I'VE EVER HAD!!!! (Chicken is dry --looks like chicken scraps and hardly any rice and beens). I live close by and this establishment has been getting worse (service/ food). Once they didn't even had chicken... how does that happened when it's the source of business?!?!?! If I could give less than 1 star I would. I Just had the worst el pollo loco experience ever in my entire life. Waited about 30 minutes in the drive thru line for the food to be complete crap. The chicken avocado taco only had chicken and lettuce. Where was the salsa and the avocado?!? The nachos had no salsa and guac and looked like mush. And lastly the wing lovers was terrible!! How do you mess up wing lovers??? One of the wings was completely burnt and inedible. I got rice and beans as sides. The beans had a bunch of green stuff that I've never seen in beans in all of my years of patronizing el pollo loco. The only edible part was the rice. It was a complete waste of money. I want a refund. I tried calling and of course no one answered. I will try calling back tomorrow. I will never patronize this el pollo loco ever again.

Long story short, I Ordered El Pollo Loco from DoorDash I surprisingly didn't enjoy their style of cooking. I ordered a double chicken bowl from there and I wasn't impressed at all, a small portion of cold chicken was served into my bowl. I was really unsatisfied because I usually get a fair amount of chicken at other El Pollo Loco places. I've ordered 3 times at this place before and it's always the same quality of food. Sorry not sorry but this particular place needs a new management & crew.

Wow $4.35 for one taco are you kidding me, food took forever to get to the table and I spent $73! I have gotten better service and better prices at business near by. No wonder the other franchises withe same name closed down
