El Pollo Supremo

The food is usually good, but today was a disappointment. We had heard that some friends had gotten burnt chicken from here but today it was us. If it would have been one piece it would not have been a big deal, but half the pieces were burnt on one side. This was not a char, it was a layer of black burnt skin and meat. We live 20mins away and were so over it since this was our only dinner plan, that we did not have it in us to make the drive back to get it swapped. Ended up eating what we could and getting rid of the rest. What a disappointment. Make sure to check your chicken before you leave the store, or risk getting burnt chicken! (Our order was a Family pack meal- 8 piece chicken, rice and beans. The rice and beans were fine, just the chicken was a mess.)

This place use to be a Pioneer Chicken back in the day. However the new owners have made it a Mexican chicken and fish spot and it does not disappoint. The fish tacos are tasty and crunchy. The fish and chips is a sleeper hit! It will satisfy and you will want to come back for more. The Caldo de Pollo is loaded w flavor and chicken. And don’t forget to try the fried banana and flan.

One of the most authentic and satisfying chicken cravings around. These folks are local heroes for upholding their community and culture with such excellent value and quality of food. More than just chicken, they offer fun and exciting Mexican/Cuban cuisine.

El Pollo Supremo could be hit or miss. This meal was a hit. Sometimes they overcook the chicken making it dry with overly burnt skin like the last few times I had it. This time I had their "fish & chix" $13.29. It was two pieces of chicken and a piece of fish. The chicken tasted great. Moist on the inside and flavorful skin. I'm not quite sure what made it "Cuban" but as I've never been to Cuba. It did taste like the chicken I had in the Dominican Republic. As for the fish piece, it was tilapia breaded in-house. It is not your British fish & chips breading but a more thin batter. It came with tarter sauce and malt vinegar! Instead of fries, I opted for onion rings without an additional charge. El Pollo Supremo is a good choice for large groups because of the variety of items on their menu. Counter service was excellent. Thank you staff at El Pollo Supremo.

I know there are many of you here who go to Costco and head towards the back for the Costco Rotiserrie 🐔! That chicken will last meals- eat it plain and later turn it into chicken tacos, enchiladas, chicken salad, and chicken jook or porridge! El Pollo Supremo(SF) makes really mouth watering Latin inspired charbroiled chicken when you want something a little different! Fish taco as appetizer or snack. Oh, you MUST order the fried zucchini!!! Dip it in a little ranch sauce😋

It is my first time to try this restaurant. I am a Chinese born in Panama. I used to feel awkward when I step into a Latin American restaurant because people prefer to talk to you in English even though they know you speak Spanish. But then when I come to this restaurant, Mr.Santiago treated me politely and respectful and speak to me in Spanish, all the representatives from this restaurant are very friendly, that makes me feel home. I ordered chicken with family size, tostones and fried maduros. Honestly, it tastes very similar to my country’s flavor, the food was so delicious that I decided to go back to buy another dish on the same day. I should have taken some photos and post them together with this comment. Thank you so much for the service and the food, I really enjoyed it.

Excelllennntttt!!! That CHICKKKEENN!! Got. 4 pc platter with green plaintains (tostanos). Chicken was crisped to perfection. The tostanos were so delicious, I would peel the chicken apart and put it either with the toast Tostanos in the corn tortilla with salsa and rice it was so delicious the price was a little over $11, which is so fair! I wish they had more drink options, I only saw fountain soda, but that’s all right I will definitely go back!

Food is delicious, fresh,try the rolled tacos,plantains, man the gallo pinto they make,delicious, u cant go wrong. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
