Great atmosphere and a really well designed space that almost transports you somewhere else. The interior and the music give strong Manhattan style vibes, like a place you would expect to find in New York. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, always smiling and attentive. The dishes we ordered were impressive both in presentation and taste. I’ll be adding some photos because the plates looked as good as they tasted. We also stayed for cocktails after dinner and that turned out to be a great choice. The drinks were very good and the whole vibe made it easy to relax and enjoy the evening. Overall a place where you leave feeling satisfied with what you paid for.

What an amazing place! Loved the atmosphere, food and music. It’s a very good quality restaurant and this can be seen from the amazing food, sound optimization throughout the restaurant and beautiful ambiance. Prices match the quality. I was very impressed.

This place is "the place" to be when youre in Alicante and you want to enjoy the best of the best. The people working here was so nice and professional...from the waitresses/waiters, the bartenders, the DJ and the kitchenstaff. The food was so incredible that we went there 3 nigths in a row for the food, desserts and drinks.

El Portal is truly an exceptional place. The atmosphere is absolutely unreal — everything, from the people to the service, to the quality of the products, is on another level. The attention to detail is remarkable: the interior design, the tableware, the glassware, the lighting — every element is carefully thought out and perfectly executed. The staff are not only professional but clearly trained to provide a top-tier experience. You can feel the passion and precision in everything they do. It all comes together to create a space where you completely disconnect from the outside world. This is the kind of place that allows you to fully enjoy your food, the ambiance, and most importantly — a real, unhurried conversation with your colleagues, friends, or family. We highly recommend visiting El Portal at least once in your life — you definitely won’t regret it.

We had a very pleasant experience at El Portal. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and enjoyed by everyone in our group. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication regarding the agreed starting time of our reservation. In addition, the restaurant works with fixed time slots of two and a half hours. For us, as a group of 28 people, this felt quite short. It was a pity that there are three seating slots per evening, as this meant we were unable to order coffee at the end of our meal, and our wine was not even finished yet. Overall, we truly appreciated the quality of the food and the effort of the staff, but for larger groups, the limited time slot made the experience feel somewhat rushed.

Absolutely fantastic meal! We went for the taster menu and weren't disappointed. The atmosphere is really nice, we absolutely loved the moulin rouge vibe and loved the decor. We'd recommend to anyone, the whole experience was faultless

Disappointing experience – watch out for hidden charges! Visited El Portal in Alicante with high expectations, but unfortunately, it turned out to be quite a letdown. The food was just okay — nothing particularly wrong with it, but nothing memorable either. For the high prices, we expected something much more impressive in both quality and creativity. What really ruined the experience was the pricing. On top of the already expensive menu, they sneakily added a 10% service charge (tip) without telling us. Then, another 10% tax was added, which also wasn’t clearly communicated. The final bill ended up being much higher than expected. That feeling of being tricked really spoiled the night. Sure, the place looks stylish and has a good location, but overall, the experience left a bitter aftertaste — literally. Wouldn’t go back.
