El Portal Alicante - Krug Ambassade

This place is "the place" to be when youre in Alicante and you want to enjoy the best of the best. The people working here was so nice and professional...from the waitresses/waiters, the bartenders, the DJ and the kitchenstaff. The food was so incredible that we went there 3 nigths in a row for the food, desserts and drinks.

I don’t have words to describe how wonderful was my experience with food and services. Andrea is a great staff, she did more than serve food to us, she gave to us the full cultural experience about arroz, vinos and quesos. I recommend this place.

El Portal is truly an exceptional place. The atmosphere is absolutely unreal — everything, from the people to the service, to the quality of the products, is on another level. The attention to detail is remarkable: the interior design, the tableware, the glassware, the lighting — every element is carefully thought out and perfectly executed. The staff are not only professional but clearly trained to provide a top-tier experience. You can feel the passion and precision in everything they do. It all comes together to create a space where you completely disconnect from the outside world. This is the kind of place that allows you to fully enjoy your food, the ambiance, and most importantly — a real, unhurried conversation with your colleagues, friends, or family. We highly recommend visiting El Portal at least once in your life — you definitely won’t regret it.

Absolutely fantastic meal! We went for the taster menu and weren't disappointed. The atmosphere is really nice, we absolutely loved the moulin rouge vibe and loved the decor. We'd recommend to anyone, the whole experience was faultless

Disappointing experience – watch out for hidden charges! Visited El Portal in Alicante with high expectations, but unfortunately, it turned out to be quite a letdown. The food was just okay — nothing particularly wrong with it, but nothing memorable either. For the high prices, we expected something much more impressive in both quality and creativity. What really ruined the experience was the pricing. On top of the already expensive menu, they sneakily added a 10% service charge (tip) without telling us. Then, another 10% tax was added, which also wasn’t clearly communicated. The final bill ended up being much higher than expected. That feeling of being tricked really spoiled the night. Sure, the place looks stylish and has a good location, but overall, the experience left a bitter aftertaste — literally. Wouldn’t go back.

The place is truly stunning at first glance, but does not live up to expectations! We had a party of 4 and a good and comfortable table. Our waiter first made a good impression, but then it got chaotic. We all ordered a starter and a main course. After a while he came with 3 starters and the disappeared . When he came back I asked him, where my starter was and he argued, that I had not ordered one and what I had ordered would be a main. After that had been clarified, he stated that the main fish dish, which came with vegetables was not available anymore but he could replace the ordered hake with bass at the same price. Then finally my starter arrived. Shortly after this the fish for three was brought to the table, bare, just grilled with not even a slice of lemon. On top of that my main course did again not arrive and when I asked the waiter he argued that I had nothing ordered, apart from the delayed starter. We the complained and asked for the bill. The manager apologised and took my starter generously off the bill. This restaurant is mostlikely the most expensive one in Alicante, but neither from the service nor from the quality of food, which is not bad, but not worthwhile to be remembered.The prices are definitely not justified. On top of that there are hidden charges ( in our case €26;-) that are not explained nor mentioned somewhere. In all I cannot recommend this place!

Absolutely loved my experience at El Portal Alicante - Krug Ambassade! 🌟 The service was top-notch, making us feel right at home. The place was spotless, which is always a big plus for me, and the atmosphere was just perfect for a relaxing meal. Perfect music. DJ Suzukid define. Definitely looking forward to my next visit! 🍽️
