A breezy seaside market returning each winter, managed by an independent operator and promoted by the town. Expect farm produce, cheese, pastries, and flowers steps from the sand—popular with locals and day‑trippers.

Small, very clean, little park with access to the beach. The park offers many chairs or benches to sit and relax and enjoy the sun and the views. The plantings are quite beautiful and well maintained, providing shade in a few areas along with two gazebos. Very nice park with beach access.

Public parking is right in front of the beach entrance. Walking one block with all beach accessories is very easy. There are also two places to rinse off sands.

Tiny spot near the beach with a few free chairs and some grass. I heard that a good food truck/tent is set up here on Sundays though! I'd give a higher rating if it was a bigger spot. I'd hang out here if the main beach area was too crowded. You can't really see the water from the chairs but it's just a few steps from this area.

El Prado Park is quaint, peaceful and the beach feels like paradise. Perfect beach with soothing white sand, relaxing warm sea water, and friendly people. A picturesque must visit beach, Lauderdale By The Sea is absolutely beautiful!

Top 3 beach spots in FT lauderdale. Easy to park, Clean, tranquil. I could sit all day in those Adirondack chairs and just enjoy the cool breeze. And when I get hungry some of the best spots are only a few steps away.

Yelp
This was a charming beach "park" in Lauderdale By The Sea. I was actually upset that I hadn't found this place sooner. My contact at the town, however, told me that the grassy area used to be a parking lot years ago and most of the amenities were added within the last ten years. There's resident permit parking right out front and metered parking just across the street. As you walk along the sidewalk there are colorfully painted Adirondack chairs -- two per -- under umbrellas. And a shade pavilion with chairs. At the beach entrance are various signs with information. No dogs are allowed nor is cigarette smoking on the beach. The park is open 7 am - 10 pm. There's a display with life jackets hanging from it in case someone needs to borrow one. And some info re rip currents and water safety. Two shower towers are at the entrance, too. There are bottom water spouts for washing the sand off your feet after the beach, as well. One of the nicest things was the beach access path. There are two entrances to the beach and one is covered in a hard mesh -- perfect for wheel chairs or wheeled carts or if you have trouble walking. I took a short walk out to the beach itself. It's wide with clean, white sand here. Mid week it wasn't busy with visitors. Talk about a "chamber of commerce" picture! I couldn't resist taking a short video. We truly live in paradise and this park proves it.

Yelp
My wife found a quaint beautiful Beach side park to enjoy some sunshine, warmth from the sun and some fresh ocean breezes to soothe and recharge her internal solar battery! A beautiful little park with plenty of accessible parking just across the street.

Yelp
The hubby and I were staying in Pompano Beach and his family suggested we check out Commercial Blvd in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. We were heading towards Commercial Blvd and noticed this park to our left. It looked clean, colorful, and spacious. The park was appropriately a 4 mile bike ride from where we were staying. After picking up a Coconut Bowl from Playa Bowls, we rode back to this park to enjoy our bowl. It was so relaxing sitting on the chairs (except for the occasional car horn honking). I love the landscaping. It reminded me of being in CocoCay in the Bahamas. The park had a huge lawn, showers, benches, a gazebo, and colorful adirondack chairs. Parking is located across El Mar Drive. It looks like a Farmer's Market is held at this location from December to May on Sundays.

Yelp
One of my favorite small public park; has access to the beach. Usually weekend farmers market or other small markets with all kinds of offers and food from the grill or smoker.

Yelp
This is the Lauderdale by the Sea (LBTS) most popular beachfront park, with paid parking located just across El Mar Drive. The parking right next to the park itself is only for residents and a permit is required to park up to 3 hours max. There are lots of Adirondack chairs to sit and relax, many under sun umbrellas. There's a beautiful gazebo as well that overlooks the area right by the ocean. From December to May, there's a Farmer's Market (usually from 9a-2pm) where you can get some delicious grilled meats fresh off the BBQ, crafts, handmade soaps, artwork and of course, vegetables from the Farmer Market's stand. Some mornings you see people doing Yoga in the Park....All throughout the day you will see joggers, walkers, people biking around, people just lounging on a blanket. It's a beautiful and relaxing park ......very well kept and very clean. Lots of garbage cans around so you can throw away trash in the proper place. No public restrooms.

Yelp
This is the beautiful beach front park in the charming town of Lauderdale by the Sea. The parking lot is across the street and you can feed the meter or use the pay by phone app as I did. There is a farmers market held in the park that runs from December until May. The park has a large open green space with a walkway along it's perimeter. Along the walkway are the cutest multicolor Adirondack chairs with beach umbrellas. There is also two gazebos with even more chairs in them. On the day I visited people were exercising and picnicking. Most people however come here to use the beach. This is a very clean beach and there is a nice view of Anglin's Pier. It is generally less crowded than Ft. Lauderdale's beaches to the south. When my daughter was in middle school we attended a really fun surfing birthday party here. Unfortunately this park does not have restrooms but you can find them only one block away behind city hall.

Yelp
This is a nice small park co-located with a beautiful part of the beach in the city of Lauderdale by the Sea. It has nice colorful chairs around the grass area, 2 gazebos and showers. This park was also used for a farmers market on some weekends throughout the year, before the pandemic. Parking is available right across the street, and use can use the PayByPhone App to pay for parking or use the machines located on site. The only thing this park is missing are restroom facilities; however, restrooms are available 1 block away, behind the City Hall building. Really convenient located to go to the beach or just enjoy a nice day out in the sun on the grounds of this nice park.

Yelp
Lauderdale-by-the-Sea has one of the best beaches in Florida and El Prado Park occupies a part of it. What's really great about it is that it generally doesn't get all that crowded. It's a whole lot less hectic than Fort Lauderdale Beach which can be like being in the middle of a zoo parade at mating season. It has a couple of very nice gazebos for shade, two wash off showers, several Adirondack chairs, and a good size parking area. Other greats are that this is the only beach in Florida that you can actually wade out to the first coral reef at low tide. Then just offshore but within swimming distance (1 mile, but as these waters can be dangerous don't do it) is the shipwreck, Copenhagen, a 19th-century British coal hauler that ran aground and is submerged in 25 feet of water.

Yelp
I LOVE this area! It's beautiful lots of shaded areas too! Lots of parking! Need to pay of course but definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
Very understated beach experience between the pier and the high rises to the north. Parking is one block away. Some older beach hotels and rentals nearby. No beach chair rentals. No dogs. Fairly clean beach. There's one shower fountain to rinse off. No rocks, just a straight line of sand. The beach is quite wide here and in the summer doesn't tend to get too crowded. Two reef formations a bit from the shore.

Yelp
My family, friends, and I love the rest area and cleanliness. Close to great restaurants and the beach!

Yelp
Love this beach. It's usually not very crowded, and I always find parking. It's definitely not as crazy as Fort Lauderdale Beach. The park itself is also very nice. They even have a cute little Farmer's Market every Sunday from September- June.

Yelp
I am reluctant to write a review because I enjoy that the beach isn't crowded! There is a beautiful, wide beach area with restaurants and shopping close by. It is always peaceful and clean. My go to beach in the area.
