Place is nice (but little bit crowded outside) location is good (whenever I came to Barcelona I have to visit this place) ….King Margarita and Patatas Bravas are amazing

I swear the most bad experience i have in Barcelona, the food very bad the size of the table very small, two times the waiter he make the drink full on the table, the price is very expensive for this quality of the food,the waiter not friendly at all , i don’t recommend for any one

Good place if you wanna have something different. They offer quite a variety of food which came out fast and the waiters were nice. Price is affordable and is located in the centre of bcn. Good atmosphere, just take care of your belongings if you sitting outdoors, in the terrace. During our stay 3 people came over to ask for money and random people kept approaching to our table, which made me kinda uncomfortable, so better watch out.

MmmmMediteranean! Located on La Rambla,we stopped for a late dinner. Extensive menu offering anything from soups,salads,pasta ,crepes and pizza. Started of course with some local wine and an Artichoke appetizer with Iberian ham..very flavorful. We both had pasta dishes...my with had gluten free pasta with mushrooms and I had their Emporda style Lasagna with sauteed onion,veal,pork, tomato and cheese in a bechamel sauce. So delicious we both emptied our plates! This establishment has been open many years and now we know why..they know how to cook a perfect Mediterranean dish!

We went on Dec 2022 and just ordered take way pizzas - they do not accept dogs, even a small one. Restaurant closes at 23h, so at 22 h external tables do not accept customers and internal tables stop accepting around 22:30. We ordered 3 pizzas (Margherita, Terra and Vegetarian)-Good quality and taste (elliptical pizzas 🤗).Staff is nice and friendly. Prices are fair. Recommended.

Holy crapolli!!!!! This place is phenomenal, services was fantastic. The boss guy seemed a little complainy, but what are you gonna do. All and all everything was more than great. Highly suggest the place.

This place is overall average. I like the pasta. It was homemade and cooked perfectly. Most people ordered their pizza, which we didn't have. The beef tartar was not that good. I don't think I can recommend this place.

Pizza so good! Rotating pizza oven for natural even cook. Food was fast. Lots of room inside with space between the tables, nobody listening. Great service, fast and friendly!

Wanted to have a quick bite after going to a museum nearby and stopped it. We absolutely loved their caesar salad, serranita croquettes, and the gnocchi con salsa de queso Scamorza. We also had the creme brulee for dessert but that was not our favorite.

Not the most impressive. Was forced to eat here because it was close to our hotel. The food was below average, service is parallel with the quality of the food and the servers seem confused.

The outdoor seating is a great spot to people watch while enjoying lunch. We ordered the Reina Margherita, a pitcher of Sangria and the Catalana d'Carmel, all which were good. Staff were friendly and service was quick.

Stopped by because it was in a great spot to people watch while eating outside and the pizza looked great. They had great service and the pizza was fabulous. The waiter even recommended dessert that was awesome.

So this will be a first and maybe a last time for me coming to this awesome establishment. Only due to the fact that I don't live in Spain. However, if I did El Racó would be a place I would visit more then my mothers house (don't tell her please) We hit up El Racó before seeing a fun night of flamenco dancing. Absolutely delicious pizza, the crust was right, the sauce, the cheese along with Iberico and mushrooms, oh man off the hook stuff. Service was great and they were on top of everything, taking good care of us . We were a party of eleven hungry and thirsty visitors out on the town. The menu was in Spanish and English. They have lots to choose from, my kids even really enjoyed the food as well and they can be pretty picky. There is really not much more I can say about a place that did everything right. Except, that if you are just visiting or are lucky enough to live by this restaurant that serves delicious food, then you need to come and sit down and try it for yourself. I wish them the absolute best in their future endeavors and hope that some day if I get the chance to come back, I will be able to sit at a table in El Racó and enjoy the food again. Bravo

I wish I had a "before" picture to post, but we devoured it too quickly. Don't get me wrong - love the Spanish tapas, but we were in need of a change of pace. Our order, in no particular order: orange salad (has hazelnuts and goat cheese), carpaccio pizza (FUEGO), pear and Gorgonzola ravioli, bolognese, and the calzone (the only one the menu, held the anchovies). Did I mention there were four of us? Don't judge, mamis and papis. Also, get a bottle of red wine with "vaca" in the name... I apparently blacked out due to euphoric shock.

Let me start with the service is above and beyond! Absolutely fantastic! It's my first time in Barcelona and he help pair my meals! We ordered the Sangria de Cava - AMAZING! Lobster Linguini - mind blowing! Margarita Pizza - went well with everything. Top it off Carmel crapes - delicious!

Damn, I went to a Franchise restaurant................in Spain! Well, my friends who are from Barcelona were hungry and decided to go here. I got a calzone and a sangria. The calzone was mushy and wet. The calzone was somewhat strong. The service was pretty nice - friendly and attentive. Well let, but I wasn't so happy for the calzone.

This has been the worst dining experience during my stay in Barcelona. The staff is rude, unprofessional and not knowledgeable on the menu items. 2 out of 3 dishes were given to us cold and had to be sent back. I was told that The Cannelloni contained beef but when given to me it actually contains a pork and beef shredded and boiled mixture. The do not trade your dish or offer any accommodations, only resolution is to pay for the dish and buy another. Horrible service, horrible food

Buenisima toda la comida, pedimos platillos de todas las categorías y todos estaban buenisimos. El servicio espectacular y el lugar muy bonito, lo recomiendo muchísimo

Great food better service. The hoste was inviting speaks excellent english and went out of hes way to hoste us. We would definitely come back.

The only have 3 waiters working for about 40 tables, so you can imagine how slow it can be. The worst dinning experience I had in Barcelona.

Beautiful restaurant but everyone is running around and rushing you while your trying to order. So unprofessional and the Service is just awful. Nice place for kids

We had some great food here. Walked by and wandered in. The place was clean and bright, the service was friendly and the food was yummy. We had pizza and pasta (better than some of our pizza and pasta experiences in Italy) and steak. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and plan to head back before we leave Barcelona.

Worst service ever! The waiter was pissed because only two of the party of four wished to eat. My two teen daughters wanted something familiar to eat. We all had a drink though. The restaurant was casual italian pizza and pasta place. I have no idea what made him so huffy. The place only had a few patrons, so I'm guessing it is struggling, as other places ajacent were hopping. The pasta was average. Pick somewhere else to eat!

Service was super slow.the steak was great but the presentation wasnt consistent. Food was so so nothing remarkable.

Great food, beautiful restaurant and friendly staff. We stopped bye one night after Mobile World Congress. The pasta was home made and really good. Nice wine selection and the menu is in a newspaper. We tried a number of things and they were all fantastic. We'd go back in a minute. If your in Barcelona give them a try. you won't be disappointed.

Friendly restaurant with great food. Had a nice time hanging out for lunch with my family.

This place was the last place we ate in Barcelona before heading back to Philadelphia. After having a particularly terrible tapas lunch at a place that has been reviewed on their site, we wanted something that wasn't tapas and wouldn't be a dangerous choice before a whole day of traveling back home the next day, so we settled on pizza and salad at El Raco. Their takeout was easy to order and in about 10-15 minutes we were walking back to our hotel with a marghertia pizza, a bacon and sausage pizza, and what was supposed to be a Caesar salad, but I believe was their Orange salad. It wasn't what we ordered, but was still good. I would recommend this place as an Philadelphian who needs something that tastes a little closer to home after 10 days of being more adventurous and trying local specialities.

Swift service and food delivery, would recommend to tourists and Spaniards alike. Their menu is expansive and includes a wide variety of foods from risottos and pastas to pizzas and tapas. We ordered pizza for our visit, which was delectably made with crispy outer crust and chewy, more robust inner crust. I would eat here again if we had more time in Barcelona.

There are many many choices of restaurants in the city of Barcelona. And with that, many of them seem to offer the same Tapas menu with some preparing the food better than others. Once you tire of eating tapas over and over again, we found El Raco to be a perfect solution, simply because the food was delicious each and every time we returned. With that said, we tried something new each time we dined at El Raco, and it quickly became our favorite restaurant in Barcelona. From the pizza to the crepes to the steak and even their wine was all simply delicious, and highly recommended. If you are not in the mood for tapas... Again! Try their signature pizzas, all of them are wonderful and full of flavor.

Amazing how I've been here three times with three different dining experiences on each visit. The first night was good. The food wasn't exactly to die for but conveniently located because our hotel was right next door. The server understood what food allergies are and took that into consideration and even explained to us how we would be billed. More often we had to flag him for drink refills but they don't ever come back to clear anything off of your table. The second day, we had a different server. Quite pleasant and also understood our allergy concerns. But when we ordered plain rice, the plate smelled of butter. I would not risk giving that to my daughter bec she s severely allergic to dairy. Of course I had to call a manager bec three people came to my table and insisted it had no butter. It was clear they didn't want to make a new one. I saw the chef in the back insisting it had no dairy but I could see and smell the butter in it. So they eventually made a new one as I was firm that it had butter in it. I thought I'd give it another chance. This was my biggest mistake. June 15, at lunch time I had a waiter who was arrogant and a complete moron. The dining area was extremely busy I understand but he was so jumpy and excitable to the point that he was cutting me off when I was ordering. When I ordered plain rice and no butter, he kept insisting they didn't have it. I told him I was here the last two days and they were able to accommodate that request. So I called for the manager and he was gracious and said that it wasn't a problem and they could make it for us. When we ordered a second plate of plain rice, the second plate came with butter again. I said this has butter in it. I could smell the strong dairy in it. I literally went to the counter in front of the kitchen and brought the plate back to them and said I can't give this to my daughter. The manager this time insisted this had no butter but my senses were telling me. I could see the texture was creamy and the smell was strong. By then I've completely lost my appetite and asked for the check. The arrogant server comes back and when he handed me the bill, he wanted me to pay in Euros. I said I want to pay it in the $US equivalent w my credit card as I have done in the last two visits here. He argued again and eventually the manager came to straighten things out. I wondered if they threw this new waiter at a busy time? I don't really mind if he was new and he wasn't familiar with the billing and the menu. But his attitude stinks. He was nasty and I could see how nasty he was to the other tables. He liked to argue with the customers. Either this guy needs to be trained or they need to focus on hiring competent people at this place. If this continues, I am 101% certain they re not going to be in business for long. If you have food allergies or restrictions, stay away from this place. They will make you feel stupid when in reality, they are really uneducated about the evolved eating habits of people around the world. This place deserves 0 stars but apparently that s not an option here. ( Our server s name is Al Corimby)

The magherita pizza is very good and the peppercino pasta was excellent. Very affordable.

LOVE THIS PLACE. go here at least once a week...they deserve more than 3 stars for sure
