Del Rey Review - Palm Springs - The Infatuation

"You completely forgot to book a table tonight and now you’re not eating dinner until 9:15pm. Go to Del Rey for a little pre-dinner snack. The moody, dimly lit tapas bar is tucked deep inside the Villa Royale, a quiet, chic boutique hotel on the south side of town. It can get a little crowded (we recommend getting here by 5:30pm for a seat at the bar), but even when full, the place still feels like a hideaway of sorts. Sip on gin and tonics, split small plates like gazpacho and gambas al ajillo, and sit next to one of the most photogenic fireplaces in town—in our books, it’s a perfect way to start the night." - Brant Cox

Been here several times ever since I found out about it. I love the sauces that come with the tacos. I’ve tried other items and everything has been tasty.

Decided to stop by and got a California Burrito - it was freshly prepared in no time and simply amazing! I will definitely come back to try more things! Loved it!

Soooo Gooood!!! This is a must in Shalimar. Don't miss out. California Burrito and Mexican Style Steak were absolutely 💯

Excellent tacos at this food truck! They are always in the same parking lot next to the gas station and have picnic tables and some shade set up.

Ordered a pork Mexican dish, Caritas, and got beef that was terribly overcooked, close to shoe leather. Inadequate lettuce and tomato, beans and rice ok. Tortillas were served hot, wrapped but dry and not lightly grilled like they should have been. Charge was $17+ but was probably worth about $5.

We stopped here on the way out of town and it was life-giving. The food was simply perfect and each sauce that came with the plates added different flavors and textures. It ain’t cheap, but I’d rather spend $15 on a burrito here than $30 at some trendy place down the road that wouldn’t be as satisfying. I’m happy my husband saw this place and we stopped by!

New to the area and stumbled upon this place. I’m glad it’s just right up the road from my house because the food was so good!! I’ll be going back often! :)
