"El Rincon is a casual sit-down spot in Archer Heights, and there’s a 90% chance that you’ll see parents eating with kids in soccer uniforms while you’re here. It’s a likable, family-friendly place with a short list of tacos on its menu. Our favorites are the chorizo (crispy, with a great amount of spice), arrachera (skirt steak), and cecina (dried beef or pork). While everything is well-prepared and delicious, the green salsa stands out here. The flavors are deep and spicy, which complements the rich meat perfectly." - adrian kane, john ringor

This place has the best pozole Rojo that I have tasted. The Cafe the Olla and fresh aguas are great as well.

The food was fantastic very delicious, The service was very friendly and professional, I will recommend this place for very delicious Mexican food, the quesabirrias and the consúme 10/10, the place is small with very limited parking but it's worth coming here. The dessert was a tiramisu also very delicious it was very creamy and soft.

Every dish I have tried from here I have never had a single bad experience. I am lucky to know I can go here and enjoy a bite to eat for eating out.

But today I got something different from what i would usually get I got gorditas a taco and some picaditas and to drink I got the berry smoothie it was delicious. My husband he got the caldo camaron and Oh my god it was amazing it is perfect for a cruda its a cannot miss. Will definitely order next time since my husband shared a bit with me

I normally don’t write reviews, but I had to on this one. This is the second time I ordered from this place, the first time they forgot my consomé broth for two quesabirrias orders, but i decided to give them another chance. I ordered a ramen birria from them, based on the picture of the food item, it looks good, but it’s nothing compared to what you get. To begin, the amount of birria that they put is unacceptable. For $13+ I would expect to have at least the servings of two tacos but it doesn’t even look like it’s enough for one taco. There’s barely any broth, it just looks like plate of soaked up noodles. I decided to order as well the 3 quesabirria tacos with consomé again and guess what, they forgot to include the consume again! I called the restaurant to discuss the quality of the ramen birria and the missing item. I wanted them to deliver my missing consume and they said they could not deliver the item anymore and can only give me a partial refund. Mind you, I live just few steps away from the business, probably a 3 minute walk, so a re-delivery should have not been a huge problem. All they they had to say about my complaint was, “you don’t have to order from here anymore.” That’s not really the type of customer service you should be giving, especially for small hole in the wall business. You should re-train your employees in customer service so that you can have guests return and support you but instead you choose to just shoo them away. My family owned a small business just like this one before and we didn’t treat our guest like this. I was being polite because I know what it’s like having to deal with customer service issues but the young lady that answered the phone had a lil snarky attitude when I complained about the food quality and missing item. Please stay away from business like this and support others. I’m my opinion, Los Comales, would have been +10000% the better option compared to this establishment.

Google
TERRIBLE! Don’t waste your time or money! I ordered a birria ramen. There wasn’t even enough meat for one taco! It was all noodles. I had also ordered it with the egg and they forgot to put it in there.

Google
Really delicious, had the Steak Torta Aguada. It’s basically dipped in some kind of red mole with lots of fresh lettuce, meat and cheese. Til next next time.

Yelp
I love their potato tacos, however can't order those anymore. Food is great and quick delivery.

Yelp
Had the family over placed a big order for pickup. Gave us a 20 minute pickup. We get there and they hadn't even made the food yet. They charged us and started making the food when we got there. We waited an additional 20 minutes for our food

Yelp
Excellent food and very friendly chef and owner. Very flavorful tacos. The salsa just added the punch on it. Loved it!

Yelp
Definitely GREAT FOOD, HOSPITALITY, PRICING. Want real Mexican food? this is the place; especially with their horchata made from scratch. We ordered the quesadillas a la plancha de nopales & asada they will have you wishing you had a bigger stomach so you can continue to eat their delicious food! Even if you're not in the area, I recommend you to come here‼ you won't be disappointed. I'm Mexican and I brought my Filipino friends and they L O V E IT! Living from mount prospect their going to bring their family to eat REAL MEXICAN food. Hope this review helps.

Yelp
So I got delivery but the way it was packaged didn't make the delivery easy for the driver also I didn't like the fact that everything was seperate and I had to put it together myself and then everything has spilled on top of each other because it just wasn't package right work on your packaging the food good but the packaging for delivery is horrible horrible

Yelp
Average place, completely empty for a Saturday night so if you're looking for a quick bite this is the place to go. $8.00 for a torta seemed a bit high but portion was decent.

Yelp
Stopped in for a takeout lunch. Good food, slightly pricey IMO. Overall, worth the trip and will probably return.

Yelp
The food is so delicious! I got a Gordita frita de papa con chorizo and shared some tacos dorados de papa and everything was delicious. Nothing was even greasy! Mom tried their mole and said it was very good. Definetly a must try for Mexican food. The staff and owner are also very friendly!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious barbacoa Tacos with consumé. Yummy !! Best I have tasted very tasty will go back and try more choices from their menu.

Fabiola V.

Yelp
If you want to eat fresh, tasty, and amazing food then you gotta come to El Ricon de Mexico. The taquitos de papa are delish just like my mom's home cooking. They give the right portion. Also, the pastor tacos are really good the meat is marinated to perfection. This is the place that will satisfy your hunger. I will try more goodies from the menu.

Monique L.

Yelp
Standard fare done well. Had 2 gorditas, although one would've been plenty. Rajas con queso with carne asada added and chicharron in red sauce (they didn't offer a choice), both were tasty. The asada was chopped smaller than I like but that was fine and the chicharron was minced, which again was not my preference but still good. Prices were very good for the portion sizes!

Yelp
Just left this place and hand some bomb food! Had café de olla which was so delicious. Their chilaquiles verdes were the perfect amount of spice and their food portions are huge. Tried a bite of my fiancé's taco al pastor which the meat was juicy and the tortillas was hecha a mano. He also had a pambazo which was huge. Overall I'd come back. Feels like a restaurant I'd walk into in Mexico. Totally recommend it.

Mastodon D.

Yelp
Bad bad bad food, can't even make the rice good. the ladies there have a nasty attitude.

Kat M.

Yelp
Clean festive small restaurant....delicious pambazos , their guisado del dia changes every day ...friendly service....can't compare it to Mexican restaurants around the area..

Honest R.

Yelp
They have a torta de chorizo con papa (pambazo). Cheap prices. Parking. Decent service. Inside looks average and AC is a little weak. TVs. Frequent customer.
