We made our reservation days in advance to avoid any issues. Unfortunately, We arrived with a party of about 12, but the staff was not prepared. I was calling the restaurant prior to the scheduled arrival time to confirm, but they never answered any of my calls. When I stated my name, he actually told me there was no such reservation made. I was firm in the fact that indeed I had submitted the information. Once he actually opened the book, there it was. Our reservation. They started scrambling to set a long table. We had to wait past our reservation time.
Once the confusion settled, the atmosphere was great. The food was amazing. Our waitress was pleasant. We did not get a heads up on last call for alcohol, so mid way threw my meal, I requested a drink to which the waitress responded the bar was closed. Usually, there is an announcement for last call, so place your final order. We were not given that option. I dislike the fact of the waitress taking her own tip automatically from my bill. We were 2 families of 12 people. We were all going to pitch in with a cash tip, but she did not make us aware of this when my husband paid the bill. We don't mind leaving a tip, that's not the issue. The issue lies in the failure to communicate.
