The 9 Best Vaca Frita in Miami

"This vaca frita glistens like Fabio in a ‘90s canola butter commercial. It’s a beautiful, tangled mess of meat covered in mojo and sauteed onions that are slightly browned around the edges. They give you plenty of lime wedges, but you won’t need them. The intense mojo brightens up the seared flank steak all on its own." - virginia otazo

The 16 Best Cuban Sandwiches In Miami

"Ham can be as mundane as a ham and cheese sandwich or as special as a holiday roast. And the ham on this cuban certainly makes us feel like we’re celebrating something. It’s so thick, it’d give the deli lady at Publix un infarto. There are about four to five slices of it stacked on top of mustard, crunchy pickles, pork, and gooey Swiss cheese. If this sandwich was a cat it’d be a chonker, and its veterinarian would be telling you to stop feeding it so much ham. " - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino

The 6 Best Elena Ruz In Miami

"This one is for all the sweet tooths out there. There’s so much strawberry jam on this sandwich, it slips and slides between your fingers. That’s not a bad thing if you’re willing to get a little dirty. Rinconcito Superlatino III is at the end of the Old Cutler bike trail, so their elena ruz is the perfect sandwich to order at their ventanita and pop into the back of your cycling jersey before you get back on the trail. Don’t worry, they wrap it up tightly, so no one’s going to think you’re bleeding out strawberry jam." - virginia otazo, mariana trabanino

The 19 Best Cuban Restaurants In Miami

"Yes, El Rinconcito Super Latino III is a mouthful, and there are a confusing amount of rinconcitos in Miami. But when it comes to Cuban rinconcitos, this is our favorite. It’s a small spot with a few tables that serves one of the best pan con bistecs in the city. The meat is cooked perfectly, the bread is toasted and springy, and the vinegar and onions tie it all together. Their vaca frita is also tender and comes with a ton of limes, which you won’t actually need because the mojo onions mixed with the crispy beef provide more than enough flavor. If you’re in a rush, you can also order all of the above at the ventanita. " - virginia otazo

First time and more times to come. We came for breakfast today and loved the food. Large portions and priced economically given the times we are all facing. I love that the have tater tots as one of the sides (tater tots are not common, yet are my favorite). I ordered as a side to my over easy eggs the Arina (grits).. OMG it was delicious.. there was an odd sweet taste to it which I loved. Overall my wife and girls loved their food as well. We will definitely keep coming back for more. Only downside is the place is very small but cozy and the parking is also tight. But the food and service were excellent. Thank you.

I have found my new favorite Cuban restaurant, and it's called El Rinconcito! As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was back in my Abuela’s kitchen. The staff was incredibly friendly, and I immediately felt like part of the family. But the real star of the show was the food. Every dish was bursting with authentic Cuban flavors, and I couldn't get enough. And the colada coffee was a game-changer. It's the perfect pick-me-up to start the day, and it really hit the spot. I can't say enough good things about El Rinconcito. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the food is exceptional, and the staff is amazing. It's clear that everyone here puts their heart and soul into making sure their customers have an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a genuine taste of Cuba, this is the place to go. I can't wait to come back!

I order take out once a week from here! We love the chicharrones de puerco, with a side of rice and sweet plantains! We recently got into the habit of swinging by every time we are driving long distances out of Cutler Bay and order some cheese tequeños and Jarritos for the road! Love this place and love their prices even more!

Food was delicious and good portions. Loved the boiled yucca. It takes about 20 -25 minutes to prepare food well worth the wait.

The photo is actually HALF of the plate. I forgot to take a picture before eating. But I ordered the Cuban Especial. The sandwich is huge and very tasty.

Best service in town. Very friendly staff. Coffee is a delight. I tried the oxtail and it was perfectly tender. I would go back just for the oxtail! Portions are generous. If you are in the area it's a must. Feels like home cooking.
