There are at least four to five slices of thick ham stacked on top of mustard, crunchy pickles, pork, and gooey swiss cheese. If this sandwich was a cat it’d be a chonker, and its veterinarian would be telling you to stop feeding it so much ham. "This one is for all the sweet tooths out there. There’s so much strawberry jam on this sandwich, it slips and slides between your fingers. That’s not a bad thing if you’re willing to get a little dirty. Rinconcito Superlatino III is at the end of the Old Cutler bike trail, so their elena ruz is the perfect sandwich to order at their ventanita and pop into the back of your cycling jersey before you get back on the trail. "El Rinconcito Super Latino III is a mouthful, and there are a confusing amount of Cuban rinconcitos in Miami. But this is our favorite. It’s a small spot with a few tables that serves one of the best pan con bistecs in the city. The meat is juicy, the bread is springy, and the vinegar and onions tie it all together. Their great vaca frita also comes with a ton of limes, which you won’t actually need because the mojo onions provide more than enough flavor. "This vaca frita glistens like Fabio in a ‘90s canola butter commercial. It’s a beautiful, tangled mess of meat covered in mojo and sauteed onions that are slightly browned around the edges.
