The 25 Best Restaurants & Bars In Bellevue

"People who have never been to Taqueria El Rinconsito beforehand always emerge from a meal here recommending it to all their friends. And with good reason—this place makes really, really good Mexican food. Whatever you order here (we’re big fans of the arroz con pollo) will taste great, and it works well for a casual dinner or even a midnight meal on the weekend." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley, gabe guarente

Picked up an order from El Rinconsito a couple of weeks ago! I got the Chipotle Enchilda with chicken and it was delicious! The portion size is not too big, I would say it's perfect for a meal for a single person. My boyfriend got the chicken tacos and they were also very yummy. They seemed very clean and were not overwhelming taste-wise. I was a really big fan of the food we got from here and I would love to come back sometime soon! The service was great, everyone is very kind. The atmosphere is very homey and it felt very cozy inside. I'm from Atlanta so it was nice to see the Coke rep <3 I will be back! :)

Google
Tried El Rinconsito recently and had a pretty decent experience overall. The vegetarian tacos were just okay—not too flavorful, but fine if you’re looking for a veg option. On the other hand, the fish tacos were really good—fresh, well-seasoned, and definitely worth trying. The quesadilla was the highlight for me—cheesy, nicely cooked, and very satisfying. The burrito was average, a bit plain compared to the other items. Overall, it’s a good spot for a quick and filling meal. The food is reasonably priced and definitely worth the money, especially if you’re going for the fish tacos or quesadilla.

Google
I just recently tried El Rinconsito for the first time and I was surprised how good it was. I had the 4 taco special and the birria tacos. The birria tacos were very well filled and the beef was super tender. One thing that surprised me was how strong the horchata tasted as I have had many watery ones elsewhere. This is a place I would be back to especially with how excellent the value is.

Stopped by El Rinconsito around 10 pm for a late dinner. The place was super busy and pretty noisy, but service was quick and smooth. We had to order at the counter and find our own table. We got 3 fish tacos and 4 chicken tacos. The fish was fried and crispy with good amount of slaw, and the chicken tacos were juicy with solid seasoning. Liked them both. Great spot for late-night eats.

Google
El Rinconsito in Bellevue is a reliable spot for Mexican food. We ordered the 5 tacos plate, menudo, and churros — all were genuinely delicious. The tacos were well-seasoned and came with plenty of filling. The menudo had a clean, rich broth and was comforting without being overly greasy. Churros were a nice touch to end the meal, not too sweet and freshly fried. No frills, just solid food. We’ll be back, and it’s worth checking out if you’re nearby.

Google
The food was great. I hope they reconsider the price for the Favoritos soda, as it’s definitely not worth $4. The quesabirria is a must-try item. Super friendly staff. They let us stay and eat after their closing hours.

Google
The tacos hit every time! El Riconsito is our go to place in Bellevue! They recently redesigned the entire interior of the restaurant with new booths and the ceiling is beautiful. Not to mention their friendly staff and quick service. We’ll always keep coming back!

Google
Not terrible but kind of underwhelming! Last time I had the burrito plate (in Federal Way) it was more flavorful but this time the carne asada was just really salty. Again not terrible but not particularly amazing either, especially for the price.

Yelp
This is one of the best Mexican/TexMex place I have found In Washington. As a hispanic transplant from Dallas Texas finding a hood TexMex location has been hard, lots of Cali Mex here but TexMex is a harder find. EL Rincinsito hit alot of the back home feels I was looking for. Got the Barria Quesdilla, bean burrito and bowl of Mundo with a horchata to dink. Everything was delicious! There is a wonderful salsa/condiments counter with all the extras you need; cilantro/onion, lime, pico, diffrent salsas. The only thing I wish they had was free chips to go with it. Over all I highly recommend.

Yelp
Another local spot serving up great tacos late at night! They have a big menu with lots of different tacos and meal deals. I got the carne asada and al pastor and they were super tasty. Their meats were well seasoned and paired great with the tortillas that they make in house. The food was also super affordable as well! This is epitome of a late night bite - good food, cheap and easy to eat. Tacos: Carne Asada and Al Pastor Tacos

Yelp
This is a very generous dish, and very delicious. I was not expecting the size I have to admit. I chose it because I am not happy with the tacos bundle which is going on, where you have to take a soda that I am not drinking. Yummmmmy. And the service is always always friendly and a very efficient. Gracias.

Yelp
THE best quesa birrias!!! the flavor and crispness is EVERYTHING. great service and lots of seating!

Yelp
Great Mexican food, and seems authentic (though I am not an expert). They were even making handmade tortillas! though I don't think the enchiladas I got came with them. I got the enchiladas plate - I really like that you can choose a different filling for each of the 3 enchiladas. The tongue was most expensive, but also the best - very tender. The plate came with rice and beans, which made the meal overall quite filling and satisfying. I did appreciate the salad bar too - the salad and pickled carrots were tasty, and getting some different salsas was fun. One of my friends got a pollo asado plate which seemed very good value - only 11? dollars! I will probably try that next time.

Yelp
2nd time getting this plate , they never disappoint, the food is always delicious and fresh . They recently remodeled it looks beautiful , I'm from California and this is the only place that can be similar, I love it here and it affordable . Staff is very friendly and it's very clean , when you go somewhere with the bathroom clean says nothing but good quality the value there own restaurant. I will recommend all my family and friends.

Yelp
Even though an instance of a fast food Mexican chain of restaurants, El Rinconsito - Bellevue turned out to serve really good Mexican classics, using deliciously marinated meats, fresh vegetables, and an awesome salsa bar. Translating to 'Little Corner' in English, El Rinconsito - Bellevue is one of fourteen locations operating in Washington state, with the first in Kent opening in 1997. The set-up is similar to other fast food places: you stand in line while perusing the menus above, and then place your order with the cashier, pay, then find a seat. After a few moments, the food will be delivered to you. This gives you time to grab salsa and accompaniments from the salsa bar. I followed the advice of my dining locals and ordered the Enchiladas Mexicanas platter with choice of meat $14.98 (I chose buche, which I THOUGHT was pig head, but ended up being pig stomach (tripe)....big difference...was wondering why none of it had muscle fibers...just tender, slightly chewy offal). I still liked it (and now can say I've eaten pig stomach). It was covered in green sauce, with corn tortillas folded over the generous amount of meat, with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and chihuahua cheese crumbles. It came with a good dollop of refried beans, and some decent mexican rice. None of it was too heavy, and I ended up not needing any of the salsas I had grabbed from the bar. One of the salsas was orange so figured it was the hottest, but later realized all of it was pretty mild, with the pico de gallo being the hottest (since it had pickled jalapenos in it). My daughter's taco plate came with a drink, and she wanted me to try the mandarin Favorito brand of soda. It was good..couldn't tell if it used cane sugar instead of corn syrup, but since made in Mexico, assuming so. Was trying to decide if better than Jarritos...couldn't decide. The restaurant will bus the reusable plates, so it was easy to leave once we were done. Everything was fast...this would be a good place for a quick lunch. From their website: "Our tasty recipes prepared with quality ingredients at reasonable prices". I completely agree. It was great.

Yelp
The food here always hits! I love all the El Rinconsitos, the food is always flavorful and the portions are good. The only thing I will say about this particular location is that the portion is smaller, relative to other El Rinconsito branches. The staff is always nice and ready to help. It's like a diner vibe, but very inviting and great atmosphere to just sit, eat, and gossip with your friends!

Yelp
Highly recommend the asada fries. They were crispy with a lot of toppings. I will say, I wasn't the biggest fan of the guacamole, and I also don't like pickled jalapeños but it was still pretty good. Their birria tacos are just the birria meat filling with plain tortillas, not grilled and no cheese. They have a toppings station where you can get limes, lettuce, salsa, and radishes and season your food. I honestly couldn't really taste the difference between most of the salsas, but they were all good! From what I remember, I would say the dark red one had the strongest flavor and my favorite was the light green. I think the overall cleanliness could be improved, and the waiters seemed too busy to talk to you unless you went up to them (they didn't give us utensils) but I would definitely go here again. 11/24/2024

Yelp
Everything is so delicious! The carne asada and lengua tacos, and chicken enchiladas were so fresh and delicious!! My go to taco spot!
google avatar

Yelp
El Rinconsito never disappoint, but this time it did. My carne asada burrito had the worst meat ever, no way to chew that meat, too tough. One thing is to find a couple of tough pieces but this one was like 90% tough meat, apparently I hit the worst part of the cow, lol. Hopefully they do better next time, I have my hopes up.

Yelp
Last time I left a review, it was my 2nd time, and I predicted that I would return many times. Now that I've almost been here 30 times, I can confidently say that El Riconsito knows how to make consistently delicious food. We absolutely love coming here. Friendly service, food takes about 10 minutes to come out, and the asada tacos and enchiladas are staples here. This is our favorite restaurant in the Puget Sound!

Yelp
Being from SoCal, I miss my favorite Mexican restaurants. I especially miss places like El Pollo Loco and Juan Pollo. So when I saw they were advertising Pollo Asado here, I had to give it a try. Here is my review: Pollo Asado 1/2 Chicken Plate is $19.28. The chicken was served with a very crispy skin, but appeared to have been flattened as if it were cooked in a press of some sort, and not rotisserie. Decent flavor, but was very dry. Plate comes with rice, beans and a side salad. Rice and beans were cold, and the salad was decent size, but had maybe a tablespoon on ranch dressing plopped in the center of it. Corn tortillas tasted home made, and were much larger than a typical corn tortilla. Very tasty. The salsa bar did not disappoint. Pickled carrots were delicious , and the chipotle and avocado salsa were very good. Staff were friendly enough, however, I did order a bottle of water, and when I noticed it wasn't brought out with me meal, I was told I needed to pick it out of the refrigerator in the lobby. I wish the lady at the counter had pointed that out at the beginning. Overall: 3 stars. I'll be back to try other dishes, but sad to say the Pollo Asado was disappointing.

Yelp
Very fast service. Reasonable prices. And the food is good. Nothing else to say but I am glad this place is around

Yelp
Felt like having some tacos for a late lunch We ordered 6 carne asada tacos for two of us, along with a couple of other items to take home. Food is tasty and not as Americanized as some Mexican eateries. Nothing fancy. But homestyle cooking. They also have a self service salsa bar with various levels of heat. The also have sliced radishes, pickled carrots and more
google avatar

Yelp
This is a good fast food Mexican joint! As soon as we walked in, it was lively and there were a lot of people here but food was fast to arrive. You order at the counter, take a number, and food is brought to your table. Ordered the 4 taco and drink special for $9.99. I liked that it came with a grilled onion and jalapeño! The tacos were a little too greasy for me but still really yummy. Favorite was the asada by far. Definitely a good late night spot for drunchies hahaha.

Yelp
Taqueria El Rinconsito is a basic, fast-food like Mexican chain, except with better food. They have multiple locations throughout WA. You order at the counter, and they bring you the food. The restaurant looks like a fast-food place, so this is not quite a date-night place. Service was ok, with minimal contact except the guy at the counter and the person delivering the food. The salsa bar wasn't consistently filled. The scooper was missing from one of the buckets. There were plenty of pickled veggies. While they have the usual plated meals, we opted for street tacos. On the menu, they push hard for the combos that come with the Favoritos soft drink. Neither of us like sugary soft drinks, so we asked about ordering the tacos by themselves. Yes, it can be done. For the online ordering, it is near the bottom. Between the two of us, we tried Adobada (spicy pork), Asada (steak), Champinones (mushrooms), Pollo (chicken), and Carnitas (fried pork). All were $2.32 each except the steak at $2.93. None of them stands out, but it was a reasonably good meal for a low price. If we feel like having street tacos again, we will return. Maybe the salsa bar will be in a better condition next time.

Yelp
I love me some tripas tacos, and I know I can always come get some here when I'm craving it. And I like that they open late. Service is quick and friendly. Their tripas tacos have always been good, although they didn't make it crispy once, and I always get it extra crispy. Their quesabirrias are also delicious.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and to kill some time while my car was being serviced. Unfortunately, it was lunch rush of a decent size. I almost didn't have a spot to sit and eat as it was that crowded on a Weekday afternoon. No kidding the line was out the door and there were two staff were taking orders. So go with one of my favorites of this cuisine - De mole enchiladas - mole enchiladas sauce, cheese, sour cream. A little over and a few extra dollars for a one of their "Favoritos" sodas. I don't recommend. They're like low level Jarritos, get a glass bottle coke instead if need be. The food itself itself was plentiful and filling, but lacked kick I've had from other Mexi spots, both around Seattle and back East which had great flavor. My impressions are that El Rinconsito is fast prep to keep up with the demand as well as the fact it's a mini chain as there are a few of these. So overall, an average Mexi style restaurant that relieve a slight itch for this type of fare.

Yelp
5 stars for the food. Everything is amazing. We love the asada steak, the chicken, chips, salsa, beans. Oh it's just so good. (We have friends that moved to the area from Mexico and said el Rinconsito is the only place they will go, so with testimony like that, we knew it would be great.) Minus 1 for them not giving me everything I ordered. When I pointed it out, the lady wouldn't budge, and said I was wrong. I had zero energy to argue with her so I took my bag minus 2 items and left. It was very busy, and people were waiting. I'm guessing they were overwhelmed, but I'm considering placing 2 different online orders next time to make sure they include everything I ordered. I think with a big order, it's an easy mistake to leave things out. My daughter is the pickiest eater I've ever known and she said "this is so good, I want to come every Saturday!" As long as they give me what I pay for, I will be back weekly!
google avatar

Kirstin H.

Yelp
Coming here late on a Friday night, you will find the place completely full, blasting music, serving up the best food, and keeping the party going until 3am! I stopped in for a quesabirria combo supper, and did it hit the spot! You can order via app if you want to skip the line, but it moves pretty quickly regardless. I love that you will find people from all walks of life coming here for good Mexican food. Don't forget to hit up the free salsa bar!
google avatar

Veronica A.

Yelp
It doesn't get better than this...I love the ladies on doordash/tortillas non verbal just smiles, good people. I get the burrito plate, enough to feed me for two days
google avatar

Michaela D.

Yelp
I don't see many quick service Mexican restaurants with such an expansive menu. It's a great place to go for a good variety and it was a nice touch to have the salsa bar. There were even limes on the salsa bar, which is always fantastic. Everything was good, especially the flautas. All the salsas and sauces went well with the meal, including a variety of spicy levels. Overalls just a good experience with lots of food.

Andy A.

Yelp
Quality is going downhill. Looks like they probably ran out of beans so replaced beans with only rice in my veggie burrito. Do some quality control, it's sad to pay so much one burrito and get tortilla filled with rice.
google avatar

Bonnie G.

Yelp
Loved the salsas and the pork chili verde. The tortillas were also very nice. The mole didn't have much flavor. However, the refried beans were great! Half the chips were good, the other half were greasy. In general, a very good Mexican meal, which is hard to get in Bellevue!
google avatar

Tom M.

Yelp
Went to eat there late night while staying in Bellevue. Pretty decent restaurant serving fast tacos. Not bad price. Would recommend.
google avatar

Dhilip R.

Yelp
Would not recommend this place for vegetarians since my curated veggie enchilada lacked veggies and taste. It was a mere buritto stuffed with cheese and caramalized onions and not sure if it was even cooked in a separate skillet. The place looked funky, retro and nice. The cashier was really friendly. The palce was filled with a lot of people during a late night drop-in too. Must be a hit with locals.
google avatar

Jaynne L.

Yelp
Came here after having dry hard meat tacos at another place. It was packed with customers, but their ordering line and the way they serve customers is very efficient. And their customer service is great! I ordered 1 asada, 1adobada, 1 tripe, and 1 pigs intestines. All the tacos came with 2 tortillas, meat, cilantro and onion. You can also ask for grilled onion and a jalapeño. There's also a salsa bar with different types of salsa, radish, picked veggies (carrots, onion, etc). All of them tasted moist and had flavor. I think the ones I like the most are asada and tripe. I ended up ordering another 2 tripe tacos. It was delicious! Definitely coming back here!
google avatar

Nikita S.

Yelp
Retro feels! The service is fast We ordered pollo aladiabla and adobada Tacos. I highly recommend the tacos. However, the pollo was pretty average! Next time I'm surely going for only tacos
google avatar

Kopal G.

Yelp
The veggie burrito was incredible! Coffee came a lil late, but tasted great as well. Service was pretty mediocre. There wasn't anything too special about the ambiance either
google avatar

Rose G.

Yelp
Food is great but the service is terrible. Double charged our credit card and nobody wanted to refund our money. They keep saying manager is always out
google avatar

Supriya L.

Yelp
The tacos and the burritos are amazing. I also really like their rice and beans. A big fan of this place. Highly recommend
google avatar

Helen B.

Yelp
Lots of food choices, but none especially flavorful or fresh. A glimpse into the kitchen revealed a very large pot on the floor. Tables not bussed efficiently. This is more a quantity vs quality place. Lots of workers pop in for cheap take out.
google avatar

Julia W.

Yelp
Really close by to a grocery store we always frequent. Decided to order takeout one night and see what it's all about -- we found the food a little dry, but the salad was refreshing and a solid addition to the meal. I personally like making my tacos at home and might not come here over my own, but for a quick stop, solid. Not super memorable, but tasty!
google avatar

Yelp
El Rinconsito has been on my radar for some time, as I'm always looking for some delicious Mexican food - had the opportunity to swing by on a Sunday night at around 8pm and gave this restaurant a try! Service is reasonably fast, as you first order at the counter and take a order number sign and then seat yourself - Our food took about 10ish minutes to get to us after we ordered. I got the Taquitos Rancheros with Beef, which was a decent amount of food as you can see from the picture. The taquitos themselves were tasty, had a crispy and flaky outer shell wrapped around the shredded beef - the beef itself was a little stringy and dry at some points, but the sour cream and guacamole helped remedy that. The rice and refried beans were good, as they were filling and had good texture complements to the taquitos. Overall, spent about $14 for the food, which is a decent price given the amount of food. I personally next time will probably order a burrito, as it looked like a more filling option on the menu, as I left a little bit hungry afterwards. The menu did look pretty extensive, so I would definitely like to revisit in the future to give the other options a try!

Yelp
Opens 8am on weekends & 10am weekdays. Came early for breakfast and they were making tortillas. Freshly made ones are springy! There is a self-serve salsa bar to the right end of the cashier counter. Food Huevos en chili verde excellent chili verde sauce and refried beans but pork & my sunny side up eggs were a bit over cooked. Comes with small stack of flour or corn tortilla $11.69 4* 3 Eggs com Ham was more like an American breakfast but the ham wasn't the tastiest and hash brown weren't browned. $10.59. 2* Coffee there is no decaffeinated choice just regular despite them saying there was. Hotel level coffee. $3. 3* Service was fine but turned out the coffee I was told was decaffeinated was not and she let me have something from the drinks. Chose horchata which was ok albeit sweet. Located in a small building closest to and facing 140th Ave NE. -between NE 24th St and the 520 Hwy over

Yelp
The food was ok/good? .... We order through DoorDash so it is difficult to say if the food was good or not when you get things delivered at home. However , I will say it was good but not the best breakfast burrito we have ever tried We ordered the chorizo and the bacon breakfast burrito. Even if we order online I will say it needed more flavor. I understand because is deliver it could be colder and not as good as fresh but it needed more flavor

Yelp
We got there for late dinner, it's one of the restaurants that stays open late on weekdays and the food isn't bad and reasonably priced. We got several items, including tacos, enchiladas, fish and fried ice-cream. We liked the food and the service was good too.

Yelp
Food are always amazing. Service was good, the manager doesn't look happy tho. It was during lunch time, so it was pretty packed. We came in group of 9 ppl, their first time trying this place. Kinda hard to share some food with each other in a big group with a bunch of small table. We ordered 18 tacos, 6 asada, 6 biriya, 3 spicy pork, 3 chicken, 2 pork torta, 1 polo asado, 1 carne asada, 1 chips and guac, etc

Yelp
Where do I start... very busy on late Thursday afternoon. It was first time here so me and my kids had to take a minute to see what we wanted to order since not familiar with the place. The guy at the register already looking upset and impatient that we're taking some time. We're ordering and I feel like the guy is rushing us.. I wanted to substitute the asada for adobada fries, guy straight out rudely told me no. I said seriously? He again said just no, without telling me anything else. I was taken back a little, the other Mexican spot down the road which I always go to does it with out any issues. I didn't think it was a big deal, I'm not asking for something that hard to do. Anyways, I also wanted some rolled tacos or taquitos.. again he just said we don't have them, didn't even offer something similar. Just gave me short straight answers. We got the food to go, got home and just then noticed they forgot to give me the Adobada quesadilla for my son. Which was pretty much all he ordered, very upsetting but I was not going to call just to get more upset or go back and drive 20 min again. Needless to say I will not be going back, I almost just walked out in the middle of ordering... I kinda had a feeling it was a bad idea but I still bought food here‍ ... the food itself was underwhelming, sopes and tacos were soggy. Birria tacos were pale and dry. The Asada no substitution fries didn't look great, and the adobada quesadilla was a no show.

Yelp
My friends were craving for desert and specifically flan. This place has really amazing flan that one of my friend didn't leave us enough. We also ordered fried ice cream, but won't order it again. Will be back again for food and of course flan. The service was really fast and servers were really friendly. The ambience reminded of authentic Mexican restaurant. Must try: Flan

Yelp
Love how late it's open and the food is super good even ordering it through DoorDash. Service is super fast as well.

Yelp
I was absolutely humiliated and confused. After waiting in a long line, I asked one of the three people behind the counter if they took Apple Pay and then I stepped to the side to try to give my order and he looked at me and told me to go to the back of the line-no one else said anything There was a huge line so I left. I have no idea why I was treated like that.

Yelp
I went on a Wednesday night and this place was packed. It was my first time trying any of the El Rinconsito locations and the food was definitely worth it in my opinion. The line was to the door for takeout, so I'd recommend ordering online if you're not one for crowds. I got the taco meal which came with 3 tacos (protein of my choice) and rice & refried beans with a Mexican Coke. Even though it was super busy and a bit chaotic, service was pretty quick.

Yelp
Definitely one of my favorite places to dine at. The tacos and quesadillas are my go-to's and I also really like their churros. The staff is also super friendly and food comes out fast. I really like how they are open until late at night and I have also DoorDashed from here a bunch of times without any issues.

Yelp
Not a huge fan of the food - very average, with nothing really to recommend the place other than the fact that it's open very late, and promises a quick, cheap meal!

Yelp
They have dropped the ball totally here. I was ignored by several employees just talking at the registers to each other. The meat was terrible, just gristly and overcooked. I've been here many times over the years for average food, but good prices. Never going again.
