Yelp
Beautiful outdoor patio space on a quaint idyllic street in Hudson NY. But unfortunately, the food did not live up the setting. Inside the torata cubana, a sandwich filled with bean paste, mayo, egg, ham, carnitas, steak, avocado, tomato, queso oaxaca, and lettuce -- the hodge podge of meat just became a hardened, chewy amalgam with limited identity or taste. You bite into the crisped bread exterior and your teeth struggle to bite and separate the meat inside. You're left gnawing and chewing. Struggling to separate the meat as the sandwich falls apart in your hands. A dry, chewy, sauceless meat on meat situation. The guacamole was a helpful addition to add to the sandwich to add some acidity, moisture, and brightness, but was relatively underseasoned to begin with, so the torta cubana was still left lacking.
