Wonderful service. Very friendly staff, delicious food (much, if not all of the food and the horchata, was hand-made from scratch w/quality ingredients!), and Honduran music playing in the background! Was able to learn more about Honduran culture through the servers, practice my Spanish, and experience their food! It was delicious!
I had the Pollo con Tajadas and my friend had the Honduran-styled Carne Asada. There was a very decent serving size (definitely enough for both my friend and I to be satisfied), and delicious; the flavours were complex and well-balanced between the spices and vegetables and chicken/carne.
I loved both of the dishes! Especially the pollo con Tajadas which I believe is a new dish for me. I was not disappointed! Meanwhile, my friend also loved both, especially their Carne Asada. They noted how the process of cooking/making the carne was different than he had thought, and he really loved how they cooked it! We also discovered a hot sauce which we have not tried before! We both like spice, so we loved having the Honduran hot sauce, though the dish by itself was wonderful by itself! As spice-lovers, it was a great addition to the dish!
In addition, my friend had the Honduran Banana and Grape soda pop which they loved and I liked as well! I got the Honduran style horchata and it was so tasty! A nice degree of sweetness, not overwhelming, a decent balance, some tang, and it also had a few special ingredients that I wasn’t used to in other horchatas but it really complimented the beverage (compared to being distracting or taking away from the flavour, as sometimes can be the case when it comes down to adding things to a dish, though everything I’ve tried here thus far has been wonderful!)!
If you have the chance, I would definitely recommend you give this place a try! I hope you enjoy this place as much as my friend and I, we will definitely be coming back!
