Yelp
It's a nice in the hood seafood place. Only has 1 meat dish. Great for lent. The building has housed literally 6 different businesses within the past year, but this place was very busy when we were there. They kept the momentum moving though, tables turned quickly. So busy or seemed three waitresses couldnt keep up with the 10-15 tables there. The prices are kind of high for Southwest Detroit. But, it's fresh seafood, and you're getting a platter if your looking at the higher prices. You can still get a tostada de Ceviche for 2.50, and a cocktel de camaron y pulpo for 13 bucks and that's regular retail in the neighborhood restaurants.
When you arrive, you sit, and wait for them to see you and they bring you a plate of tostada shells, crackers, and ceviche. I think it's fish. Not sure. Menu is varied but is heavily shrimp. Big variety of platters, and with those you get rice, a Lil lettuce and a piece of bread or tortillas.
I ordered the Langostines, they were really good. A tad overcooked, but the taste was amazing. Rice was good and well cooked, came seasoned with red spicy herbs.
Hubby ordered shrimp fajitas , a lot of shrimp, green peppers, onions and tomatoes. And tortillas. Made about 6 tacos for him.
The shrimp empanadas were different then why I thought they would be. Different dough then I'm not used to, and actual whole shrimp inside.
We asked for water, and we got two bottled waters, each a dollar.
Two dinners, an appetizer, and two bottles of water was $45.
We would definitely go again.
I hope they renovate the place though, it leaves something to be desired. Put in actual tables, not card tables, and get ice and actual glasses.
