We stopped in to have some breakfast and we're already looking forward to coming back for lunch. We ordered breakfast burritos with pancakes. The burrito was awesome! They serve complimentary chips and salsa. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience and we will see you again soon!

Outstanding service and the best Latin American food in Oklahoma City hands down! Absolutely fantastic . This place is a hidden gem. It's worth the drive across the entire city to go here. Come here for breakfast lunch or dinner. You won't regret it! Tacos? Quesadilla? Waffle? All stellar! And the Jamaica juice drink? Incredible.

This place was a win!!!!! The Food was so yummy!!!! 🔥 We ordered some burgers. Huego Burger, Tropical Burger and The original. Mine was Bomb. The good was hot and well seasoned. My egg on my burger cooked perfectly. Everyone was satiated! They had cute picnic tables, that was comfortable for my family. Also staff were so kind!

My new favorite restaurant! I ordered the country breakfast. The salsa is amazing! So full of flavor, not to spicy. But still a good heat. So far I day this is a must try spot. Did I mention the SALSA! Lol BOMB!! I love they serve breakfast all day! The service is outstanding!! Highly recommended!! The pancakes could be better. A little bland. But room for improvement fo sho. Ty

Google
First time visiting. The staff were all VERY kind. I ordered the birria quesadilla. It came topped with onions and cilantro and was filled with cheese and the "birria"meat. With a side of consume. The meat has zero flavor it tasted and looked like it was just pot roast and cheese on a tortilla. I don't think the meat in the quesadilla is even cooked in the consume. Would not get that again. My friend ordered Philly cheesesteak with fries. The fries were really good. My friend said the vegetables on the Philly cheesesteak could have been a bit smaller and cooked a bit more. I would go back to try something else but I definitely would not get the birtia again.

Google
Absolutely LOVE this restaurant! The food and service are top tier!! Breakfast all day and daily specials will keep you coming back! Today's special was a seafood soup with coconut milk! It was AMAZING 👏 BEST caldo I've ever had!!

Yelp
I would give this restaurant more stars but my stepmoms steak was the saddest piece of steak I've ever seen and therefore was very dry and my dad's plantains were soggy. I really liked the unique flavors of their salsa and their spicy salsa was actually spicy. Our waitress was very sweet and our food came out at a decent time. I would like to try this place again in the near future.

Yelp
We came back because I wanted the Campeon again, but unfortunately the carne asada was not as tasty as last time, and it was a little dry and chewy at parts. It was still okay though, but last time was so delicious I couldn't help but compare. I also got their Mango Smoothie, which was not on the menu. There's also other stuff not on their menu, like a Seafood Soup, which I may try next time. Hubs got the Fiesta Tacos, which is 1 beef, 1 chicken, and 1 chorizo tacos. The beef and chicken were good, the chorizo too salty. The Chocoflan, a combination of chocolate cake with a hardened flan on top, was disappointing. May have been better to order their regular flan, maybe would've been better. It was still not a bad experience, just wanted it to be the same/similar wonderful experience as last time.

Yelp
This is an excellent Latin American restaurant. I ordered the Carne Asada, the meal was outstanding, and had a lot of amazing flavor, also the portion size was enormous. The staff were very courteous and accommodating, and the prices at this restaurant are extremely affordable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Good place for Latin American food. I like that most things are homemade including tortillas, chips, and salsa. Breakfast is served all day which is always great. I had their No. 1 breakfast which was good. The black beans was a little runny, which I didn't like, but everything else was good. I like their soda drinks, everything in bottle. I don't think El Sazon has the best Latin American food but it has great discounts. It offers a whopping 20% discount on Upside along with cash back from your credit card.

Yelp
We found a new Latin restaurant in Bethany at 36th and Rockwell. Tiriffic place to dine. El Sazon covers a lot of cuisine tastes. Latin/Mexican, burgers, seafood, breakfast including waffles, eggs etc., steak, friedchicken. We sampled the waffles, fried chicken, birria tacos, and an egg dish with beans. A big thumbs up from everyone. Drop by and check it out.

Yelp
Amazing food and service--a must-visit! The al pastor tacos were my absolute favorite.

Yelp
Our waiter, Jacob, was very polite and helpful. He told us we could eat off the breakfast menu all day, or eat off the regular menu. We decided on the regular menu. I asked about a burrito and he said one would be specifically made for me that was not on the menu. He even gave us some options that were not on the menu. We tasted the plantain and corn drink. This drink is offered daily, but is only on the special menu. It is fantastic! Our dinner was awesome! We ended up having enough to take fine for lunch tomorrow. We ordered fresh salsa to take home. We will come again. Highly recommended. Say hello to our new friend Jacob when you come!

Yelp
This little gem is in bethany at the corner of 26th street and Rockwell Ave. This place has a bunch of different items from burgers to chefs choice items. I have had a few things off the menu and all were scrumptious! The quesadillas and tacos were so yummy! We got the quest and chips and it too was delicious. Side of fried plantains that were tasty as well. I enjoyed everything including Thai tea and I'm usually not a fan. You are missing out if you haven't tried this place. They have a nice patio and it's pet friendly. They sometimes do specials and grill outside on the patio doing a tasty feature for a great price! Please support a bethany small business!

Yelp
This place is a great addition to Bethany. Due to the tasty food, I've been a frequent customer. Friendly staff and good customer service. For my first visit, I had the pollo con tajadas, which was delicious. The fried chicken wasn't heavy and had a nice seasoning, but there were a lot of green bananas in it, and they weren't fresh, so I should've gotten the pollo frito instead. On my second visit, I had the grilled shrimp platter. They were very generous with the shrimp, and the rice accompanying it was terrific. But the paper they put under the food was off-putting since the grease soaked into the paper, and the coloring rubbed off onto the rice. Today I came here for lunch with my boyfriend. Their birria quesadilla is excellent. And the carne asada tacos, I will probably get it again; so good. Depending on what you ordered, the food here can be expensive for lunch. But in terms of Latin food, the food is better prepared than those in the area.

Yelp
Great classic Guatemalan breakfast! Loved the tortillas and Guatemalan crema. The black beans were smoky which I wasn't the biggest fan of, but overall very good. Complimentary chirmol. Delicious plantains. No wait!

Yelp
Saw this place mentioned on fb and decided to give it a try!! Ordered fiesta tacos: included chicken, beef, and chorizo and came with delicious refried black beans and rice. Absolutely delicious. Husband got birria tacos which were very tasty with the melty cheese and birria 'soup' on the side to put over tacos. The chips we were served on arrival were warm and tasted homemade and the chunky salsa was definitely fresh!! Great option for Latin flavors!

Yelp
We hardly ever go out for breakfast unless we're on vacation. Our experience at El Sazon made our entire day feel like a vacation. The diner atmosphere is generally not one that I seek, but here it magnifies the cleanliness and caring of the staff. One entire wall is windows with a great view of the 36th and Rockwell intersection. (That's kind of a big deal in a small town.) I ordered #8, the Waffle--from the menu: "Bananas, Strawberries, Whipped Cream, Pecans, Powdered Sugar." And those pecans are sugared pecans. YUMMY! I saved a couple of bites for Charlie for when he finished his Sunshine, #5---Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, 2 Pancakes (from the menu). We'll be back. We love supporting neighborhood businesses, and, there's a couple more meals we need to try---like lunch and dinner!

Yelp
I wouldn't mind the kinda boring dining room, completely empty of customers, as long as the food is good..Which ended up being more hit and miss. First, tortilla chips tasted like from a bag, but their salsa was better. Taco trio plate was authentic but flavors lacked some. Tortillas were stiff and not fresh. Chorizo was the better of the meats, asada was decent, but the cubes of white meat chicken not so much. Their enchilada daily specials from the marker board were better, and also a great value at around $4. Just don't expect your typical cheese or sauce smothered rolled tortilla Tex-Mex version. These are authentic Central American versions piled high on single tostada, with lots of ground beef, vegetables and various other toppings. The Guatemalan version with beets and hard-boiled egg on top was delicious. The Honduran version had toppings similar to a pupusa, also very good. I'd return just for those. The tacos, tortilla chips, and ambiance, not so much. Service was just okay, our drinks ran empty and the woman was glued to her cell phone the entire time. I haven't yet tried their breakfast menu or more American items like burgers, so it's a solid 3 until I get around to those.

Yelp
They start you off with chips and salsa. The salsa looks like a beef stew, but it's flavorful and pleasant. Even though this is a Latin place, I decided to order one of their burgers (the Huevo Burger). The burger and fries were amazing. The bun was lightly grilled on the outside, so it was delightfully flaky. The fries also had a perfect, pillowy-on-the-inside texture. It showed such an attention to detail that separates good food from great food. I'm eager to try their more Latin and breakfast offerings (which also includes American staples like pancakes and waffles). The service was excellent, and my waitress was accommodating, attentive, and seemed to generally take pride in the fact that I enjoyed my meal. It's not the cheapest food, but for the serving size (my burger was giant and I shared my stack of fries with my son), it's still a solid value. The atmosphere was nice. Open space with lots of natural lighting. There were several television screens up, which I didn't quite understand since one was just a repeating video of their restaurant. It gave me Entertainment 720 vibes. Overall, loved it. Eager to go again. Great American staples done to perfection and lots of great pan-Latin options.

Yelp
Loved eating at El Sazon, I went on an off time so I was served very quickly. There was so much food and it was all well cooked and delicious. The waiters also gave me more tortillas and lots of salsa. Everything was very flavorful and the atmosphere is clean.

Yelp
We ate here for breakfast on a Saturday morning bc of the reviews and no wait time. The reviews must be off regarding the food bc the food was not definitely not 4-5 stars. Closer to 2-3 stars. Little flavor and low quality. The staff were kind and friendly. Around 10am on a Saturday, we were only the patrons for the almost hour we were there (which is weird for a restaurant with 4.5 stars imo). We don't plan on returning as there are better places to eat for the price.

Yelp
The food was excellent. I ordered the birria tacos. They were delicious. I would go back for the salsa alone . It was very flavorful and fresh. The queso was very good as well. Service was excellent.

The food was great as well as the service! We'll definitely be back to try their breakfast!

Yelp
Tasty family owned restaurant with excellent service! This is one of my new favorite spots to go when I'm in town. The food is high quality, tasty, portions are big, and prices are reasonable! I especially enjoy the AnafreA La Mexicana appetizer (think queso with flare!) and their birria tacos. Their brunch is great too--love the addition of plantains to many of their breakfast plates. Don't miss out on their aguas frescas either!

Yelp
I met a friend here for lunch on a Monday. We were the only diners when we arrived at noon. Two other parties arrived after us. It was my first time in this space since it converted from the Thai restaurant to this Honduran restaurant. If memory serves right, not much has changed in the dining room. It's very clean and tidy. The restroom I visited was also the same way. I decided to order the pollo con tajadas (fried chicken with green bananas). This is my dish to compare central American restaurants since most of them in OKC seem to have it. On the whole, it was delicious. They fried chicken was a drumstick and thigh resting on a generous serving of fried bananas. The cooks placed a cabbage salad on top of everything and then finished it off with a drizzle of mayo-like sauces. The dish was a study in contrasts between the crisp, crunchy cabbage; the sometimes crunchy and sometimes soggy fried green bananas; and the greasy fried chicken. My favorite part about it was the cabbage salad, followed by the green bananas. The fried chicken was my least favorite. It was fried too hard for my taste. There were too many pieces of chicken that were almost too tough/stringy to eat. On top of that, I expected more meat on the chicken for $14. Since I work in Bethany, it's worth a return visit to sample the American side of the menus, e.g. the list of burgers. With a handful of Mexican and central American restaurants in a 5-mile radius, I'm not sure how long this place can hang on. Time will tell...

Yelp

Yelp
I came here with my boyfriend and had breakfast. The corn tortillas were delicious, by far the best I've ever tasted. Black beans had so much flavor, truly wonderful. Plantene was cooked perfectly.. eggs were on point!! They made fresh coffee just for me:) It was a very enjoyable meal. I plan on going back and bringing friends!!

Yelp
It was my first time at El Sazon we had such great first experience. The staff was so friendly and the food was delicious! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Best food in Bethany. Friendly service. Genuine fresh selection of Guatemalan and Mexican dishes with American food also. Yummy hamburgers, kids menu too. Delicious refried black beans, plantains, beefsteak and shrimp, tacos, breakfast served all day, well seasoned salsa and picante. Great prices. Comfy booths. Squeaky clean. Had the taco salad with chicken, Delicious! Get a side of the black beans. Our new favorite spot. Desserts are awesome.

Tonja B.

Yelp
We enjoyed our first time at El Sazon Latin Grill. The hamburger was as good as the Philly Cheese Sandwich. The fries were hand cut and the Churro was a delicious desert. They have a meeting room if needed. Not too loud and good music.

Ryan T.

Yelp
This place is amazing. If you want to have a meal with an incredible amount of flavor, try El Sazon.

Bridget R.

Yelp
Great food. We went for breakfast and the owner was very friendly. My husband said they had the best eggs around.

Michele H.

Yelp
If you love breakfast at Cafe Kacao but never go because of the always 1 hour wait (well deserved but long), then El Saxon is the place you should try. Their breakfast with Carne Asada and plantains is fantastic. I also heard others in the restaurant raving about their lunch as well. Love love love this place!

Shaye N.

Yelp
My coworker recommended this spot since we work so close and they weren't busy when we went at around 4:45PM so it seemed perfect. And it was. The food was amazing. The staff was so friendly and genuinely cared about what we thought. And they have the cutest little patio where they grill outside on Fridays after 5. My friend got the Birria Tacos and I did the Birria Quesadillas. They were both stellar. Their consome is on point. We will absolutely be back. Thank you for such great service! We're so glad you opened so close to us!
