EL Sheikh Wafik,alexandria

This restaurant is famous for its sweets and clean sitting area. This is the first ever restaurant i visited, where customers are not allowed to see their kitchen/arranging area where they prepare your plates/bowl. As a youtuber, i like to show my audience the making/serving process, which unfortunately was not possible at this spot. Anyways, we tried different sweets there, but we like Rice pudding with ice cream . it's different from the other famous rice puddings of Cairo , Egypt. I would say we did not like it to the ultimate level, but we have seen the place was full and many cars stop over and order for the full of menu.

It was our last stop in Alexandria before we headed back to Cairo. We ordered the famous Coscos with nuts and asked them to prepare to take on the train. They were fast, and items came well packaged, and with spoons, the milk was on the side in a plastic bag. The portion was large, so it is good for sharing. If it is a pray time, they will close for 15 min or so, so you will have to wait. I wish the milk can come in a bottle or cup instead, since I did not need to use all the milk but it was hard to save the leftover after breaking the plastic bag.

This place needs air conditioning. There is no real service. They close during prayers, which can be annoying to say the least. Still, the food tasted as good as you can expect.

Ice cream with nuts and rice pudding. Unfortunately doesn’t taste like before. Vanilla is tasteless. It is overlooking the sea. But located in an area which is not prestigious. Prices are reasonable. They serve in the cars.

Honestly, the rice pudding was amazing — rich, creamy, and full of nuts. They also have many other delicious items; I tried the ice cream and it was great too. But the rice pudding definitely stands out as the best. It’s one of the top places I’ve ever had rice pudding from!

No visit to Alexandria is complete without a visit to Sheikh Wafik, he has succeeded in adding his name to the landmarks of Alexandria, and he deserved it. It is truly something worth trying: couscous with nuts and rice pudding.

This is by far the best place in all of Egypt where you can get a rice pudding. I have been travelling from Cairo especially for that delight of a dessert. The best order that you can get from this place is a Rice pudding topped with vanilla Ice cream and some fresh Nuts. I wouldn't advice to eat inside the place but rather take it and go across the street and sit on the beach and enjoy one of the best rice pudding you'll ever taste. Try not to go on a weekend because the place is so crowded and you could stand in the line for an hour to get your pudding.
