"Those eager to skip the food court at the North Premium Outlets in favor of something a little more local will find a lot to love at El Sombrero. The restaurant serves a Mexican brunch complete with pork belly eggs benedict smothered with chile morita hollandaise and a rotating selection of agua fresca flavors. Dinner includes fajitas, burritos, stuffed jalapenos in a bourbon reduction sauce and plenty of margaritas." - Krista Diamond

The food and service were exceptional. I was surprised by the high quality of the food. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants Mexican food with unmatched depth of flavor and good service. In the photo that I posted I started eating before I thought I should take a picture.

Decent Mexican food is served at El Sombrero, but it is a little pricey for what you receive. The food came out extremely fast. Almost suspicious how fast it came out! The taste is pretty flavorful and you can tell that the food was made with care. I was also a fan of the margaritas. Really yummy and they definitely do the job. Service was great. My server was really attentive and refilled our drinks regularly. Bathrooms in this establishment are also really clean, which is always a plus!

This was mine and my husbands first time here. The food is amazing. If you want authentic gourmet Mexican food this is the spot. If you want to take your significant other out for a romantic evening, come here. The service is exceptional! The owner is very personable and friendly. Jose, the waiter, he's a hoot. Try their dessert....mouthwatering. Would we recommend this place? Absolutely!!! Would we come here again? Absolutely.

We took our boss here for her birthday and for an intimate baby shower (she loves the Mole sauce). Both times they treated us like gold. The food was great, atmosphere fun. Staff is always wonderful. We especially like Jose.

I am highly impressed with El Sombrero! The decor, atmosphere, service and historic value of this place makes it a must to sit down and eat at if you're in the Las Vegas area! I had the pleasure of meeting Irma, the owner who has worked so hard to make this restaurant all that it is. I recommend this place to anybody who loves Mexican food and fantastic margaritas! Oh my goodness, sooooo good!

I love Mexican food, and this place didn't dissapoint. First off, the margarita was great and big. I ordered the street taco plate. The three tacos were small and cute, and full of flavor. The sweet barbacoca was my favorite! Also, the people there are very friendly. Overall it was an awesome place, I will definitely be back!

Cozy hole-in-the-wall with a gorgeous dining room. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, but they had a skeleton crew working on a Friday night and we did wait a while. Maybe they were not expecting much because of all the road work right outside? I'm unsure, but there was only one waiter working during our visit. They were not busy, and that's really a shame because our food came quick and it was absolutely delicious. El Sombrero is very easy to overlook from the outside, but I would really urge you to take a second glance. My only complaints are that there was some awkwardness from the waiter about my age. ( I'm 25 and on a medication that I can not drink alcohol with, but he accused me of lying and not even being 21. Maybe he was joking? Either way, it was incredibly uncomfortable and made feel very unwelcome. ) I'd also appreciate more vegetarian options. All in all, I absolutely recommend you give this place a try!

This place is small but it has a lot of character. It's a cafe sized restaurant and they have very delicious food. My favorite is their Pork Chile Verde and the bacon wrapped stuffed jalepenos. They also have cocktails, I recommend the sangria. Overall the restaurant looks great, the wait staff are kind, polite, and professional; and it's been in operation for as long as I can remember. I highly recommend you come here and try out their food, or bring a date here.
