Tucked away in a small square in El Poble-Sec (a short walk from Fundació Joan Miró), this stylish restaurant turns out delicious, original Catalunyan food and great vibes. The decor and design is wonderful, service friendly and excellent, and the food… one of the best meals we’ve had in Barcelona. Try the artichoke, the fish, and don’t leave without ordering the bread and chocolate desert.

Beautiful place to go and with a moody vibe... Me and my wife love to try food from Catalunya and this place has some of the best dishes we ever tried. Paella it's just amazing, and the salads too!! Really lovely place, thanks for everything 💕💕

The best meal we had in Barcelona! It’s tucked in a small plaça in El Poble Sec right by where we were staying. I had the pumpkin salad and octopus with allioli au gratin - I’ve never finished a meal quicker than my partner but I absolutely devoured this. I cannot stress this enough: Get the torradeta de Santa Teresa. It was life changing. Even my partner, who is not a foodie, has not stopped talking about this. Not only is the food amazing, but the service is incredible. We had the best server, I wish we got her name (patchwork tattoos, nicest person in the world). She was so unbelievably kind to us and made our visit spectacular - We hope she sees this and knows what a wonderful night she gave us! 100000% make a stop here on your trip to Barcelona.

Cozy restaurant with friendly service (at least the gentleman who was there- probably the owner? the other lady didn’t shed a smile, but anyone can have a bad day), and nice food options. Good paella with seafood, bacalao also okay (though a bit overcooked), salmon with peas and pesto- a bit of a weird combo with the pesto. The dessert was interesting, the bread with olive oil, sea salt and chocolate ice cream - but not really my cup of tea.

The most incredible paella we ever had- the one with the scallops and prawns and fish. Absolutely delicious and the best service! Beautiful vibrant square but not too busy! Recommend a thousand times over!

Nice and traditional place with creative presentation of classical dishes. The decor is authentic and charming, as you can feel that the place is existing for more than 100 years now. The service is friendly and attentive. It is a bit pricey in terms of value for money, but it is probably the result of the "fame".

Yelp
Nice restaurant near Airbnb, with more than 100 years history, atmosphere and the food is fantastic

Yelp
The best restaurant of my trip in Barcelona. Here it's a very special place because it is very traditional (since 1908) I just prefer to try vermut, the vegetarian paella and the special tomato bread. Of course they have good meals with meat. Waiter are really polite and quick.

Yelp
We stayed in an Airbnb right around the corner from this lovely neighborhood restaurant so we were able to visit three times! The patates bravas were incredible, as were the smashed potato eggs with jambon. The mixed salad was perfectly dressed and came with a pot of marinated zucchini and a few slices of manchego and quince-- delicious. And we experienced our first 'tomato bread' here and honestly never found a better version. The location is nestled in a neighborhood on a small but busy square where kids play soccer and dogs run around and once to our surprise a number of marching drummers assembled. The best part of this authentically Catalonian restaurant, however, was the staff. One order they mistakenly brought seafood paella instead of the vegetarian we ordered, and they were so gracious about it-- in addition to providing complimentary cafes for that meal, they remembered the mistake when we came the next day for our last meal in Barcelona and brought a complementary vegetarian paella! It was spiced perfectly, piping hot and we devoured it. We will certainly miss this very special restaurant.

Yelp
Lovely gem of a lunch spot. Had super 3 course lunch menu. Menus available in English and French. Great service. Lovely ambience. Nice wine available by the glass at a good price.

Yelp
What a great find on our way to the museums in Montjuic Park. Great delicious meal at this restaurant on a plaza that has down to earth old world charm. We had the mushroom soup, snails, steak and fish of the day. Each was soooo good! And very reasonable prices to go with it. Servers were friendly and had menus in Spanish and English even though this is more locals than tourists. If you are in Barcelona and find yourself in this neighborhood this is a must stop for a bite to eat!

Yelp
We we wandering around looking for somewhere a bit low key that offers delicious food. We stumbled upon El sortidor and were not disappointed. We ordered a range of share dishes including the amazing soup with cheese and pickle. Pork cheek, salad and potato bravas. Every taste was a delight.

Yelp
Very good local cuisine. Good service. English speaking server was helpful for us.

Yelp
Our first and last restaurant in Barcelona. The food is delicious and authentic, the location is off the beaten track and mostly locals. The entire wall of the classic old school European restaurant is made of retractable stained glass panels that either fill the room with colors or open the the square out front where the children play soccer and laughter fills the streets. The tomato toast is a must have as well as the "Eggs to Crash", potatoes bravos, and the mixed salad. The vegetarian paella was the best we tasted in the city. Everything we had was delicious. We may be able to sneak in one more meal before we leave.....

Yelp
first supper during our 6 day visit to Barcelona and i had to say our least enjoyable. we tried 4 different dishes; paella, hake, mussels and one other. hake was bland and boring, paella too salty for our liking with scant seafood which included 4 tiny shriveled up shrimp
