El Taco Loco Birrieria

Ive had a lot of food from this place but this took the cake, took one bite of this birria ramen and it freaking SLAPS!!! 10/10 was the best I’ve ever had. Unfortunately the watermelon agua Fresca was bad. I mean really bad. It’s sometimes hit or miss with this place but the ramen was too good not to write about 🤤

I went to taco Loco for the first time last night, and honestly, it was such a good experience. Even though we showed up pretty close to closing, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. monica who helped us out, took her time explaining the whole menu, which I really appreciated since it was my first time there. The birria tacos were really good great flavor and good portions. The vibe inside was nice too; the girls even switched up the music a bit to make the place feel more comfortable for us. You can tell they actually care about their customers. Definitely a spot I’d go back to. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Came in to try the restaurant out on Saturday morning. The music was loud enough that the girl taking our order couldn’t hear us. While sitting and waiting for our order I noticed dust and small debris falling from the ceiling and floating around from the ceiling fans. Paid over $20 for two burritos. Added beans to my chorizo and egg burrito, guess it was a $5.00 add. Wife added potatoes to her sausage and egg at $5.00. The food was good. The burrito was bigger than I thought it would be. The service would have been higher if the kitchen staff didn’t stand in the window and give dirty looks. There were two ladies working in the kitchen and they both took turns coming to the window to look out. The atmosphere would have been better if there wasn’t dust and debris floating around.

At first, I didn't realize it was a food truck, but they sit in a lot with a few parking spots directly in front, so we didn't have any trouble parking. They use DoorDash pick-up which made it easy to order. I got the asada street taco order which comes with 5 tacos for $12.50 (includes lime, onions, cilantro, side of jalapeno and salsa). The tortillas were nice and soft and the meat had a nice smoky flavor. The toppings were fresh and the salsa definitely had a KICK! They had fun green tortillas, I'm assuming because of St. Patrick's. We will definitely come back when in town.

Best Tacos around, I would have loved staying their and trying our everything on the menu. Tacos sauces were excellent, dipping sauce was excellent. Everything you added to the Tacos just kicked it up another notch, yet they needed nothing to be perfect. Will definitely go back for more and spread recommend to everyone.

I visit this location several times a week and regularly order the Super Nachos. Over time, the cheese used has varied between shredded cheese, yellow queso, and white queso. Because of this, I usually specify that I want white queso, and on many previous visits, it has been added without any issue. During my most recent visit, I again requested white queso and was told that white queso is not offered and that the kitchen does not have it at all. That response was confusing and frustrating, as I have received white queso on this same item at this location multiple times in the past when I specifically asked for it. What made the situation more disappointing was being told that there was nothing that could be done, despite my explaining that I have consistently received white queso here before. Based on past experience, I expect that if I return in a few days, white queso will likely be available again, which makes the inconsistency difficult to understand. As a frequent customer, I am not asking for a special accommodation, only clarity and consistency. Either white queso is an option or it is not but being told it does not exist after having it multiple times previously is confusing and discouraging. I wanted to bring this to your attention so expectations can be aligned and communication between staff and the kitchen can be clearer moving forward.

Great stuff! Tacos were not overly greasy, packed with protein and absolutely delicious. Staff was very friendly in this new and clean brick and mortar. The lime cucumber drink was refreshing and worth a try.

Birria tacos are fire! That's all I gotta say lol make sure to stop by and check them out!

The Barria tacos here are amazing!!!! The plate with 4 was more then enough to have me full, they give you all the fixings you need ba the green salsa was to die for!!

Huge waste of money. The tacos are the size of your palm. I get that they're street tacos but they're like appetizers. My 4 year ate three of the tacos and he's still asking for more food. Pretty freaking ridiculous. We also got a torta de asado. For $13 dollars I'd expect for it to be a little bigger, have more meat, or come with fries. I gave half to my husband to hold us over until we get back home to eat. I even told the girl up front I'd be sharing with my son, you'd think she'd give me a heads up. I specifically requested for the veggies to come on the side because of my sons allergies and surprise, surprise. It wasn't even worth addressing at that point. The flavor was good though, I'll give them that. Someone in our party got the quesabirria and they liked it. The flavor was good, the portion was good for $16. We also got an elote and that was disgusting, watery, cold, and basically just crema. Why they thought it was okay to serve that is beyond me. The grilled chiles that came with our meals must've been stored in the fridge, uh, here's a thought.. heat it up on the grill while you cook the rest of the stuff. Overall... not worth the drive, huge waste of money, service is whatever, and I really regret not taking pics. It was pretty freaking comical. And to add insult to injury you still have to clean your own table after tipping. Last thing, we got cola from their soda fountain and it sprayed our clothes and our arms.

Food was really good. Salsas were spicy with good flavor. Overall highly recommend this place. Some of the best tacos in Odessa.

The best Mexican food in Odessa. so much flavor and so authentic. They have multiple Trucks and a restaurant on the west side of odessa soon to open one by the mall.

Mannnn so good ordered the birria tacos with cheese yesterday and i just now got them again today this place 100% worth it

I was really hyped up with seeing comments and pictures about this place but once I tried it wasn't as expected... got the birria tacos and they were about a 5/10. Some had a lot of fat and not much flavor.. The birria soup was extremely plain and flavorless. Plus my brother in-law got the street tacos and they were straight garbage. Super disappointing.

It was pretty good for Odessa. Very authentic, I enjoyed the tacos. Tortillas were a bit stale but the meat was very good. I'll come back to give them a try.

We have several places to get birria. I've had pretty much all of those places. To me this place is the most consistent and tastiest.

The street today today were very nasty. I bought 2 orders of street tacos, the meat had been reheated I do t know how many times, it was old and hard! The tacos were very nasty. 28.00 wasted..

Birria Tacos are so good here and I love their salsa! I haven't found anything similar here in Odessa ! Been a regular for about a year and would definitely recommend !

There are 3 of these in Odessa. Hands down best birria tacos I've had. It's a busy place and a lil' pricey but worth it. You can order online and that would be the easiest and most efficient way to get your grub. The menu has something for everyone and I will definitely go back.

To expensive for what they offer. Food is to salty Plates are simple. Not a lot of greens.

Over 50 minute wait for some tacos at 1:30? Absolutely not worth it. I can only imagine the wait during dinner. I wouldn't recommend going through the drive through at all, it's very narrow and you'll be stuck in line with no way to exit for a very long time. If you really want to try it order it on the phone and walk up to the window to get your order but expect a long wait time. Salsa was unnecessarily hot, I've ate at 100's of Mexican spots and this was by far the hottest salsa I've tasted. Food was not worth the wait.

this place never gets old!. i love their food. i always have to get awhole family meal tray that has alil bit of everything in it. its delicious if you haven't tried it yet your missing out i totally vouch for the best birria in town!. thank taco loco also for my bday discount you gave me!.

I got the classic Birria Tacos ... amazing!! So good and spicy. I definitely recommend.
