Food was delicious. I ordered the biria brakfast burrito and was not disappointed. It was delicious. All the flavors worked so well together. It had Eggs, beans, cheese, and potatoes(I think) but pretty good nonetheless. Definitely worth trying. I had their chili-oil hot sauce w the burrito. Sauce is pretty hot but worth having.

We ordered from DoorDash and it didn’t disappoint. We got the Birrua tacos with consume, birria breakfast burrito and a breakfast burrito. The tacos and birria breakfast burrito stood out. The breakfast burrito was ok.

I was getting my car serviced at the dealership and I wanted a quick bite while I waited. I stumbled upon this spot on my walk around the auto mall. I ordered the Birria ramen and it definitely hit the spot. The flavor was amazing. It wasn’t oily. And the meat was perfect. Plus the customer service and cleanliness is a 10/10.

Went in and ordered 7 breakfast burritos. While I waited, I had a cup of coffee. By the time they finished my order my coffee was empty. Being that it was only coffee, I asked for a refill and was charged. My tab was 90 bucks. They couldn't give a free refill on a 6 ounce cup of coffee? Then they went on to tell me that every cup of chili would be an added charge, after the first 1. Don't get me wrong, the beans (which we added to every burrito and charged) were so delicious, but the skimpy portion of sausage and, bacon was disappointing. Great flavor though.

The customer service was excellent 👌.. The food was great, will be back if ever in town.

Stuck in the area waiting for our vehicle to be serviced and was so grateful to find this place! My family is vegan and they were super accommodating and friendly. Burritos were delicious!

Nice, extremely convenient spot to have a great tasting taco. I had their birria taco and a dorado (same taco, less toppings)$7.58. I was up the street waiting on a vehicle to be serviced. It was a perfect walking distance from the dealership. The menu is just right for a spot this size, not overwhelming at all. Service was good, place was clean and you have access to the dealership public services. I'll be back for a burrito.

THEE BEST TACOS! We were driving back from Universal studios and googled birria tacos. This place was clean , friendly, had fresh ingredients and tasty salsas! We try birria tacos everywhere we go and these are the best my husband and I have ever tried. The consome was exactly how other reviewed it .. flavorful and had no grease. The birria meat was fresh and good quality. The sweet mother in law that makes this delightful food is truly gifted. Loved our experience ❤️

Had some quesa birria tacos. Very good. Better than more popular places like La Villa and a lot more affordable. If it's one thing I enjoy it's some good consume and this place makes it right. Very good food the only thing is the chips were a bit stale. But overall very good. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Still searching for the best breakfast burrito in Bakersfield. So today I visited El Taco Rojo while I was waiting for my car to be serviced. I ordered the sausage breakfast burrito; eggs, potatoes, sausage, and cheese w/ green salsa on the side. I was hopeful. Unfortunately ETR wasn't it. It was a decent size burrito for $10, but honestly nothing special. Alfonso's still holds the title of best breakfast burrito, IMO.

When we plugged El Taco Rojo into our gps and it took us to an auto mall we were super confused so don't worry when you pull up to Toyota, you are in the right place. I ordered a chicken burrito and added avocado for $1 (what a steal, I'll gladly pay $1 for avocado) . My husband ordered the taco Tuesday Quesatacos deal with a side of consome for $9.50. Overall, my burrito was good but there was almost too much rice to meat ratio. My husband's tacos were delicious but make sure you eat them fast. Birra is notorious for getting soggy very quickly. Although this was my first time seeing a restaurant in an auto mall I think it's genius.

Back again but with the Loaded Croissant Breakfast Sandwich. It has a lot going on and paired with their house red salsa or chunky salsa ties it all together with a bang. Upon arrival the staff is very attentive with a lively setting. A great way to start any morning especially with their cafe de olla.

Really good bacon croissant, can't beat $6!! Really recommend it if you're looking for quick bite.

I grabbed a bite to eat here while my car was being serviced at Toyota. I ordered off the lunch menu, which is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays. I ordered the street taco plate, which included 4 tacos, rice, beans, and a drink for $10. The food was great; everything had good flavor, and the staff was very friendly. I wasn't a huge fan of the green salsa, but other salsas are available. There's a few tables inside, and it looked like picnic tables outside. My complaint here comes after the fact that when I saw the charge on my account, the lunch special should have been $10 plus tax, but I was charged $12.24. I was not sure what I was charged for, as all I ordered was the special, I thought. They did not offer a receipt, so I am unable to go back and check what the charges were for. If I am hungry while getting my vehicle serviced, I will likely eat here again, but pay close attention to the amount before paying. However, I would not go out of my way to eat here otherwise, unfortunately.

The food here is awesome! I ordered the loaded burrito and it is big and delicious! It's at the Toyota dealership and perfect when waiting on my car service. But....also good enough to just come to grab a meal. Quick and fresh. I highly recommend.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place. They have been my favorite since they started and were on union. HANDS DOWN the best Birria in town. What I love the most is their options. And they have an amazing salsa for their Birria. The Los compas combo is a great option if you've never been here you get a quesataco taco dorado and a mulita the mulita is my fave. They put beans in their mulita. Overall the location is nice pricing is great and their food always hits. I've never had a bad experience with this place even via DoorDash. They have good customer service in store and it always nice inside and never too packed.

Loved the breakfast croissant sandwich and their burritos. Fairly priced and their spicy salsa is pretty good. Definitely a good place to eat while waiting to service your vehicle.

Had to come to Toyota for an oil change and had myself an asada breakfast burrito. There's two entrances, one from inside the service waiting area or the front door. This place is at the auto mall inside Toyota services. Anyone can come in and get food. You don't have to get your car serviced. The service was fast and great. Now let's get to the burrito! There was plenty of meat, cheese, and egg, and not filled with all potatoes. I got one of each sauces, and I can't say which one I like best because they were both good.

Never heard of this place. So glad I finally did. I was getting my car serviced and the technician suggested that I go here for lunch. The hot, hot sauce is so hot it hurts, but so good you cannot stop. The entire meal was great and it only cost $14.61. I had three tacos, rice, beans, and Consome. Plus that excellent hot sauce and a water for that small price. The Tacos were greasy and crunchy and hot and good. Just like a taco should be. The refried beans and rice were cooked to perfection and were a perfect side for the tacos. For a tiny restaurant attached to a Toyota Service Building, one would not think twice about it. However, don't think twice. GO EAT THERE. I highly recommend this little place for great Mexican food. Enjoy.

El Taco Rojo... a good, and unique, experience. My son and I went for a rare breakfast out and I saw this place had good reviews so... why not? El Taco Rojo is in the Bill Wright car dealership which makes it unique. The staff was friendly, and the food and drinks were great! We had breakfast burritos: I ordered the birria and my son the chorizo. He ordered horchata and i was feeing healthy so i ordered the cucumber agua fresca. Good flavors - fresh, great habanero sauce! Both burritos had ample portions of meat, eggs, and cheese inside. They were covered with red sauce - rojo after all! It was a little more than I was hoping to pay but considering this overinflated economy, we got good value. My son and I will be back!

Great food & great service! For being a very small place inside the dealership they have good food. I ordered the breakfast loaded burrito (sausage, ham, and bacon). It was good! Will definitely will be making sure to stop by at my next car appt.

Food was actually pretty delicious but the portion is really small for the prices. Service was fast only because I placed the order via grub hub. If the portions were a little bigger I would for sure be here a little more often and definitely would have gave it a 5. Just my personal opinion. Went back a couple more times and it was really really good actually. Had to give them their 5 stars for redeeming themselves with my last two orders that's all I will say.

El Taco Rojo is located at the Bill Wright Toyota Service Center on Gasoline Alley Drive. This little spot serves up some of the best Birria that I have ever eaten!! Actually, everything I've had here has been terrific and packed with yummy flavors. My favorite items are the following: Asada Street Taco is yummy and affordable. Birria Street Tacos are super yummy! Taste e even better with that consumme broth of theirs. Birria Quesataco is great! My favorite item of them all. I could eat a bunch of them if my metabolism would allow it. I go to Toyota about once every 6 months for my usual car maintenance schedule. Eating at El Taco Rojo is always a welcoming treat!! Awesome hidden gem in Bakersfield!! Highly Recommend!!

While waiting for my car to be serviced, me and my boys ate here for breakfast. i ordered a ham croissant, it was delicious... freshly made served hot, my son had a loaded breakfast burrito that was delicious he said and loved it. My oldest son had Birria Street Tacos, he had 3 the first time and had to have 3 more ... he said they were delicious! if you haven't eaten here I highly recommend to try it! Try the cucumber lemonade its amazing! The guy who helped us was friendly! The ambiance is cool. Thank you Taco Rojo! I'm coming again!

Every time I take a road trip north from Los Angeles I stop in here for breakfast. It's a funny spot for a restaurant, practically inside a Toyota dealership, but who cares? I bet they do great business because of their location, and their food is fantastic. I've been there three times now, and I'll be there again. Service is a bit slow, but the wait is worth it.

The food is really good at El Taco Rojo and I highly recommend ordering the birra tacos and their breakfast loaded burritos. Every time I stop by at Bill Wright Toyota I come by to grab food while I wait for my service to be done. The service here is great and I never had a complaint about things missing in my order. They also have seats inside so you can dine in.

We stopped at El Taco Rojo in Bakersfield while passing through on our way to Northern California, and we're so glad we did! At first, we almost turned around because it seemed unusual for a taco spot to be at a Toyota dealership, but it's conveniently located right next to the service department. The owner/manager and cashier were very welcoming, and we felt comfortable asking questions about the menu and trying things. We had- a breakfast burrito with birria, birria ramen and kids burritos.. portions for kids at first seemed small buts it honestly, just right! The food quality was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. We'll definitely be back whenever we're passing through Bakersfield. Highly recommend!

GREAT TACOS! I'm Mexican, very picky and my kid choose this place. She had birria & I had carne asada. EXCELLENT. Very clean, great quality food, very friendly service. The meat quality is higher then most place. Everything is fresh. And like most Mexican food very affordable.

I live in LA, but find myself in Bakersfield sometimes for business. I needed a quick lunch, so I finally decided to give this place a try. I swear I've driven past this place hundreds of times, but it's located inside a Toyota Service Center, so I always had my doubts. Today was the day I pushed them aside and went to see what this place was all about! My order included two birria quesatacos, a birria taco dorado, and consome. When I took a bite out of a quesataco, I was genuinely so surprised. I mean yum!!! The birria was flavorful, the tortilla was nice and crispy, and there was a perfect amount of cheese in them. It didn't feel heavy at all. This place is comparable to what I've had in LA. Honestly, it might even be better than some of the places I've tried down south! Definitely a fan

Good food however lazy communication. - sandwich sign out front says lobby is closed at 10:30 am....so I wait for a single taco for 10 minutes in the drive thru....while in line I notice there are plenty of people inside the restaurant- when I ask why the sign is out....i am told "the manager is too lazy to pull the sign" why does that person hav a job is multiple employees are aware of their work ethic?

This is the first place I fell in love with birria tacos the flavor their meat and consome deliver. Their delicious tortas are my second favorite! I finally tried the ramen birria and I think I probably received an extremely salty batch. The food wasn't very edible, but I was starving and on my lunch break so I did my best to try to eat enough to fulfill my hunger. My co worker also got very salty tacos which disappointed me because I recommended the place. I'd go back for the tacos, but would never give the ramen a second chance.

This restaurant is inside Toyota. So waiting for my car, I grabbed a breakfast burrito. They made it completely custom. It was delicious! Tasty, hot & fresh. I asked for onions and they were amazing. I was surprised at the quality, I wasn't expecting a lot. I will definitely keep this in mind for the future!!

The food was gone before I could take a picture!! The consume is just right. I like to add a little lemon for preference. The tacos were amazing. If you need a little more spice they have a variety of spices. Staff was very friendly and quick. My wait time was no more than five minutes. While waiting I had, what tasted like a "homemade " horchata. Very good. You do not need to service your car to eat here! It's open to the public. Bakersfield needs more family operated business like El Taco Rojo !

Convenient little restaurant inside Toyota service center. Friendly family owned restaurant serving variety of foods. We had the loaded breakfast burritos that were very tasty with sides of salsa. Free refills on Pepsi products soda fountain drinks. Small dining area available with comfortable seating in relaxed atmosphere. Entire restaurant was spotless clean. I would come back again.

Great great food and the service is friendly and fast. Stopped for oil change and ate something delicious. You buy three tacos and get consomé for free. Delicious!!!

The people are very nice but the burritos are small with rice and beans not much meat. The salsas were good, we went to Superior Markets afterward and bought some carnitas and tamales. I would gladly pay $12-$14 for a nice burrito, too small like Taco Bell size.

Food was excellent I got the loaded croissant and the croissant was nice, warm, with the right amount of flakiness. The breakfast asada burrito was great, the salsa had the right amount of spiciness. The salsa is fire The wait was a while but it's okay, it was worth it Horchata is also a plus! Def coming back
