El Taco Veloz

Just ask for the toppings on the side with my chips on the side. Didn't think it was a big ass for my nachos so they didn't get soggy but apparently it's a big deal. I like it when the girls work better customer service. Also, I guess the cook said now and he can call yourself a cook and just operate two microwaves constantly. I guess that's a thing. Place has really gone downhill in the last 12 years. My bad. This review is for the one on Buford highway

I think I found my new favorite Mexican restaurant! I'm a black girl that lives in the Chamblee area, and I have many Latino friends and neighbors. One day my neighbor was eating a burrito from this place, as it looked and smelled so GOOD! He recommended I come here. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly male cashier who took my order and also made some recommendations for what was good on the menu. I ordered the carne aside (steak) jumbo burrito, with a side of fries, and mango Agua. GUYS, EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS PERFECTION!! The taco was huge and delicious, the fries were crispy and well seasoned and battered, not those frozen fries you get from other places and they throw a little salt on them. And the mango Agua was so amazing. My son and I devoured our meal and wanted seconds! And my son is a very picky eater. But it's now the next day and he's asking me when we're going back! Wow! I love the food here and can't wait to go back

I ordered this about 20 minutes ago on ubereats and let me tell you I am sorely disappointed. I used to eat at tacos veloz all the time, however it was the one on Buford highway. . . The portion sizes are f****** terrible! I've spent over $50 on this order and nothing is edible... When did they start making bite-size burritos??! 🤔 Why aren't my fries full? Why aren't my carnitas full? Why does the queso look and taste like agua 🤢? Why are the chips old, stale, and burnt?! This is the second order I've had from this one in the last two years, and nothing has improved 😞. I will never order here again and I will be getting a full refund from Uber..

Look... I understand that this place is very loved and one of its first. There is other TACO VELOZ location with better costumer service and better tasty tacos. This location was my first for me. It made me feel close to home. I wish this location it's best, I don't believe it will go away, I just hope they make their meats more delicious.

The lengua tacos are oh so good. All the toppings are fresh and amazing. The tortillas really add such a lovely silky and creamy layer that hits your tongue first- and then melds effortlessly with everything it’s holding. It feels like a religious experience.

Tried beef steak pork and chicken. All of them are good with the sauce (red)

If I could have written this review without giving any stars, I definitely would have. I visited today for the first time with a coworker. I'm a vegetarian, so I ordered the super nachos with no meat. The super nachos come with tomatoes, jalapenos, avocados, and onions for a $1.00 upcharge. The total came to $5 and some change, which I thought was odd at first because the sign said the cost was over $7.00. Then I thought maybe they were cheaper because I didn't order meat with them. Our to go orders were ready and without even looking at mine, I left and went back to work. I get to the break room and open my container to find tortilla chips with nothing but scorched queso on them. It looked like the chips were glued together I turned the container over and not a single chip fell or even moved. Matter of fact, the queso had eaten through the bottom of the styrofoam and the chips that were at the bottom had melted in the container. This is why my order was so cheap-I got chips and "cheese." Nothing else. I immediately got into my car and went back. I explained as best I could with the language barrier that this is not what I ordered. After almost 5 minutes, it seemed the cashier understood what I wanted and she put the order in again. My order comes up and I look at it. It's the same nachos from the first order, only they've added huge slices of raw onions, TWO SLICES of tomatoes, jalapenos, avocados, and sour cream to them. They also made sure to charge me the difference in the price. I was so furious that I paid and left. I will be contacting corporate!

We love ordering from this place! Catering is super easy no matter how small or large your order, the food is delicious and they are super friendly! Pilar and Veronica are so helpful and always go above and beyond to help us! Thanks Ladies!
