Google
The service is super good. They kindly help us to solve the order issue! And the tacos are delicious, and we loved it so much!

Google
1st time here and definitely won't be the last!! Food was excellent and great serving sizes. I had the Pollo con Papa Flautas which came with 3 large flautas, 2nd person had a giant Tortas and 3rd had 4 corn taco's with an amazing choriqueso taco's (3) as an appetizer.

Google
I've tried a few things here, and everything is good. The menudo is very spicy and somewhat hot. It will definitely cure a hangover. The drinks are strong but a little pricey for what you're getting. The service is decent. Overall, they are consistent.

Google
My brisket nachos were great, certainly will have them again. The drinks were very good as well. The vibe was good well. The reason for my 4 star rating is due to the fact that the waitress appeared to be busy. I'm use to the waitress checking in after getting our food to make sure we don't need anything but instead about 10-15 minutes after our food got to our table we had to call her over for refills and by that time it was too late to ask for the extra things I had needed.

Google
This place is an easy spot to grab tacos at. We had sopes and also the rajas con queso appetizer. Delicious! Also the micheladas are some of the best I’ve ever had.

Jordan was just great. I love the food and the margaritas; however his service would made up for an food. Great food and great service from Jordan!! RECOMMENDED!!!

Google
I highly recommend coming here…our bartender MC Bryan was very attentive, and was very good. He was on top of everything & we didn’t have to wait long to get our drinks & food. His expertise on making drinks were the best! And the Paloma’s were bomb! His service was excellent!! 10 out of 10

Yelp
Not only excellent menudo, the customer service is top notch also! I called to make sure they had menudo left (it sells out quickly on Sundays--the only day it's sold). I was told that there was 1 order left, so I said I would be there to pick up in 5 minutes. Upon arrival, I was told that it was sold out, and I shared my story about the phone call. They apologized and reiterated that they were sold out. I sat in my car and searched for another place that sold Menudo nearby when I heard a knock on my window. It was the manager who came out and said "I'm sorry it was our fault and I will give you what we have remaining (which was about a bowl), and I will also give you a gift card for a future visit."He came back out with the Menudo and a gift card a few minutes later! I tipped him and drove off happy. The Menudo was delicious, and I am very pleased that the manager handled this with kindness and great service. I will definitely be a returning customer, as I have been for the past several years. Thank you to the manager and staff there!

Yelp
UPDATE: I only just noticed the$2 charge for "open food". I don't know what it's for. Maybe it was my coffee refill? It's off-putting enough to knock a star off my review. I wish they were more transparent. I'd still go back, but I'd double check the receipt before leaving. ORIGINAL: Came in after an early morning flight on Christmas Eve. I was craving breakfast tacos near Love Field and I'm so glad we came in here. Our server, Jovanny, was top tier. The food was ready quickly and well seasoned. Okie Bill for breakfast for 2 came to about $35. My only negative point is the difficulty with the menu if you're vegetarian. I got breakfast tacos with papas and the botana with hongos/mushrooms. The black bean soup does have meat in it so heads up to vegetarians and vegans. Ultimately, I was able to have a great meal and great service during a day and time that might usually be rough to get both. I'm happy.

Yelp
Great location off Lemmon. They offer inside and outside seating The service is very good and the food was fresh and hot and a very large portion. The sampler I got was $15.99 which is very reasonable. The waitress kept checking in to make sure I was good and the atmosphere was casual. I would recommend this location.

Yelp
We decided to try El Tiz before attending a Christmas lights parade and WOW! So good! The wife and I both ordered the beef tacos and they were incredibly tasty, service was fast, ambience great. We will return!

Poppy F.

Yelp
Not good for the 6 of us. Ordered queso and thought it was cheese to dip chips, rather than thick cheese, peppers, onions on tortillas. Took one bite and that was it. Chips were stale, flautas were hard, cold and stale. They charge for chips, and salsa was sauce, not salsa. Nachos mini shells with toppings on each. No fountain drinks. Server couldn't understand what we ordering and ambience wasn't impressive. Will not go back.

John B.

Yelp
Good place for tacos! Service was very friendly and fast. I ordered the Parrillada which was a combo of 4 tacos, cheese quesadilla, cebollitas, and some guacamole. I also ordered an appetizer of cebollitas. They also bring out a caddy of 2 salsas, onions, cilantro, and lime. Perfect! The salsa verde was my favorite! The tacos were all good (steak, chicken, pork chop, and Al pastor). The steak and Al pastor were my favorites. The cheese quesadilla (bite size) was really good also! I didn't really like the cebollitas appetizer. They were marinated in what tasted like Braggs Amino Acid (like soy sauce) that I didn't care for. Overall a great meal! Can't get over how friendly and on-point the staff was.

Cat N.

Yelp
I'm kind of pissed off. I saw a picture of choriqueso that somebody posted with melted cheese over queso. I ordered the same thing and got tacos with ground beef and cheese melted over the top. What the hell??? If you no longer make it like the other way you could have let me know. I wasted $11 dollars plus tips because I still tip on to go orders. I love supporting local businesses but some of y'all be effing up my orders. The el pastor meat needed to be cooked some more. Tacos were mediocre. Mangonada I got to go was the only thing delicious

Charlie W.

Yelp
Awesome Cuban cuisine. X large portions and wonderful service. Drinks were really good. Everything we had was exceptional. Open late. Plenty of parking.

Jenn F.

Yelp
I opted for corn but it was not my favorite corn tortillas. The staff was great and the meat was plentiful in the street tacos. Watch out for their sauce- SPICY! I wish they had a more mild version.

Iraxy R.

Yelp
Laura was a great server! Very nice and attentive My son enjoyed the lunch and the service was excellent

Chelsea M.

Yelp
Great authentic Mexican menu. Full service restaurant with nice interior that seems updated, good service, and great frozen drinks! We will be back!

Raul M.

Yelp
Food and service is good. Personally I like my street tacos from a place with a more hole in the wall vibe.

Dawn H.

Yelp
Pretty good place! The food and service are good. The food is pretty good. We had a nice experience. It is, however, on of those places in which it's enjoyable but I'm not 100% sure how memorable it'll be. The Sopes al pastor were the standout from what we ordered.

Manny M.

Yelp
The tacos al pastor and menudo definitely hit the spot. The service was fast and friendly and the restaurant was busy with a lively crowd. Reasonable prices and good food.

Abe C.

Yelp
Awesome pastor tacos! I don't live near this area at all yet it's a must stop whenever I'm around the area. Very close by to Love Field airport so great place to bring friends and family before or after their flight

James W.

Yelp
Elena is the best...!!! Always so attentive and knows the menu and what my family may want! Super good!!!

Elizabeth Marie R.

Yelp
Chilaquiles are my favorite in the mornings for breakfast and the sopes are good too.

Janicka A.

Yelp
Great food and fantastic service from Mardiel! I'll definitely be back for the chicken nachos and mango margarita!

Michael G.

Yelp
If you're in the mood for more of a homemade feel to your Mexican food, then El Tozoncito is the place for you. From walking in the door, you're greeted like an old friend, definitely providing a mom and pop vibe from the start. You're given a complimentary cup of black bean soup, which is the best part of the meal. It's so good! For my entree, I ordered menudo and was not disappointed. The serving is HUGE and will feed you for an entire day. Craving Mexican or need a hangover cure, give this place a chance.

Tom H.

Yelp
Haven't been here in years, but it's a fun place and their Tamarind margaritas are top notch!

Fatima M.

Yelp
Just had breakfast here and had such a bad experience. I'm getting my oil changed so I walked to get some food here and my bf got the choriqueso which was pretty good and I ordered a torta and told the server no tomato jalapeño and onion but they did not write it down just looked at me and then I get my torta and it only has beans and chicken no avocado and no cheese. So they had to bring it back to me twice and it was still not good the chicken had now taste and the server kept rolling their eyes at me. It was the worst experience and honestly there's better Mexican food places in Dallas. Also the server never apologized both times he took the food back !

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
Menudo was really spicy, but flavorful! Cafe de Olla, omg ya need to try. So good! Ordered a Torta, and al pastor tacos to go for the kids and they loved it. Tostadas de Tinga, were bomb. Actually taste like Tinga. 100% Authentic Mexican Food!!!!

Antonio V.

Yelp
I enjoy my El T's every morning for last 3 years because of the finest Latin food/drinks and best customer service.....Grazie

Cynthia B.

Yelp
OMG, the best menudo in town. You're going to get the same taste every time. You will not be disappointed!!!

Jacob N.

Yelp
Wonderful place to eat the choriqueso is great! Thank you so much. Every time I eat here I love it!

Henry M.

Yelp
La carne era recalentada, me tocó una quesadilla de pastor muy desabrida. Además de que tardaron mucho en preparar la comida. Aunque fueron muy amables.

Jeannine W.

Yelp
Amazing brisket tacos! My fav! Mango water... superb! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

Aradhna A.

Yelp
Came here with a friend, and immediately loved the service. Everybody was friendly and attentive. I like the little hot bean soup they give you before your meal. They also put out onions, salsas, etc so you can add your own. My friend ordered a horchata and they actually gave her *another* free one to take with her! It was so thoughtful. Unfortunately the food left much to be desired. I got a flauta with brisket and was disappointed. The brisket was dry. Everything within the flauta itself was unremarkable. I would not recommend getting again. I had to add a lot of toppings to make it even a little bit edible. Loved the service and the price! However the food itself was disappointing.

Gabriel V.

Yelp
It was fine, the food wasn't bad. I'd rather go to a taco truck and get something exciting and full of flavor. The price is very reasonable here but the service is mid and the food is basic.

Ryan G.

Yelp
Price/Taste Ratio = Great Authentic and Quick. This is a place to go to for real Mexican food without having to go to a food truck or hole in the wall. There are so many things to try, so make sure to get your favorite Mexican dish. The tostadas de Tinga will forever be the personal go to. The nachos appetizers are good but I would definitely try something else as they are basically mini tostadas and not really nachos. Black bean soup is complimentary and a great touch.

Adam A.

Yelp
We went last night for dinner. I ordered beef flautas and a chicken taco on the side. I was brought a plate with 3 beef tacos. We brought it to the servers attention and shortly after received 1 chicken taco with just chicken and a corn tortilla. We then let her know we still had the wrong order as we ordered the flautas not the tacos. She didn't apologize for the error and just charged us for both orders

Fenise P.

Yelp
Tried this place on a cold winter night 2 years ago. Now it's a once every paycheck place. Tried different items and never disappointed.

Alexia C.

Yelp
Divine!!! I love their flautas and tacos!!! Wish they had all day chilaquiles!! The staff is always really nice.

Robert M.

Yelp
Just an awesome tacqueria. Very updated and stylish. This was a novel experience for me and there were three lessons I wish I knew before starting. So, pay attention to the #'s if you want to learn before you order. Started with a small cup of a soupy black beans. Too watery for my tastes, but great flavor. #1) They don't give the standard free chips. Didn't realize that until after the meal, so consider ordering guacamole & chips as a starter. We didn't figure this out so we would up ordering them after everything was finished. We reversed the typical order. #2) The tacos come out VERY plain. You add the options from a little cart on every table. I thought that "with queso" meant melted cheese sauce so I avoided it. It was actually melted shredded cheese which should come on almost every taco. So order it with queso! It's not the watery stuff. #3) They have fantastic agua fresca!! The mango is to cry for. Go ahead, order this. Don't get the boring iced tea or the common place soda.

Yelp
The location on marsh lane is fuckin amazing! Beautiful women. Very polite, food is great I love this place !! I love the people!

Antony V.

Yelp
I enjoy my El T's every morning for last 3 years because of the finest Latin food/drinks and best customer service.....Grazie ! Antonio

Robert W.

Yelp
Cute place. Nice staff. Salsas are tasty, The bistek tacos were so dry and bland. Paid $50 for a coke, margarita and 8 tacos. Just disappointed with the experience.

Montse S.

Yelp
awesome authentic mexican food. A great place for any occasion. this location in specific is great for any outing with friends or family. Pastor tacos are 10/10 and so is the soup!

Chris D.

Yelp
I love their menudo on the weekends. It is just like mom used to make. It's a big bowl with all the condiments if you want them.

John L.

Yelp
After living practically above this place for about year and a half. I finally walked down there one Saturday morning to try the menudo and it was a big bowl of spicy goodness loaded with meat and hominy very satisfying definitely will eat again.

Sarahi S.

Yelp
The food is delicious, the portions are huge and the prices are more than fair. We ordered the menudo - savory and spicy! It included plenty of hominy and I loved that the meat was cut up in small pieces. I think it had a hint of sweetness which I'm not a fan of but delicious nonetheless. As usual, it came with oregano, onions, cilantro, jalapeño and your choice of bread or tortillas. We ordered the cebollitas preparadas and they were so good! Salty and limey. We ordered the rajas - the veggies on this one were too crunchy for me. The rajas themselves were pretty much uncooked. The flavor was still good but not real rajas that I was looking for. Then we ordered two sopes - BEWARE! Sopes are the size of pancakes! A great problem to have but just keep that in mind since it's hard to reheat them after they have crema and lettuce on top. Will be back, will order less food though.

Brandon L.

Yelp
Place is very quiet and very good. Can't go wrong with a good taqueria! Place is really cheap for really good food. Fairly new place and really clean. This restaurant is authentic with what it offers. Lots of different options, but food does not come in large quantities. So if you're looking for a large quantity meal, I wouldn't recommend, but I do recommend to try because it's good!

Salvador V.

Yelp
Está medio caro pero siempre está muy buena la comida. Las flautas de papa con pollo son de lo mejor que eh probado en un restaurante así. Y los frijoles de aperitivo nunca fallan.

Guy H.

Yelp
Out for a free thursday nite at the Meadows museum and needed a Tex Mex fix. The first place was packed and couldnt get in the parking lot. So thru my trusty and trusted Yelp app I found El Tizoncito. Great Find. Its so refresing to get a nice plate of food without paying 18 dooars. It seems no matter the quality thesse days everyone is trying to squeze every penny out of a meal. The refresing and reasonably priced El has a great menu of tacos, tortas, botanas etc at great prices. The best part? Its alla tasty good! I had an order of 4 pork tacos for lesss than 9 bucks. My companion had 3 very large flautas dressed deliciosly and beautifull for about the same price. The surroundings arnt fancy but comfortable. I recommend you by pass the two well known places down the street and give these guys a shot.

Ro L.

Yelp
Love this place! Everything on the menu is amazing, but the best item in my personal opinion are the chicken and potato flautas....outstanding. Second favorite item is the tacos al pastor. Busy place, service is good, staff is friendly even when rushing.

Justin S.

Yelp
El Tizoncito provided exactly what I needed: great Mexican food to go within close proximity to Love Field after 10pm. The Pollo y Papa Flautas were delicious. Delightfully light and crunchy, and topped with generous portions of Mexican cheese, crema, lettuce and avocado slices. And the salsa was dynamite! Bonus: my order also came quickly.

Sereena J.

Yelp
First, the parking is really difficult. I came at an off-time so I was able to snag a spot, but I'm sure during peak eating times it's hard to find a place. I came here based on the really great reviews and the great pictures other people have taken of what they have ordered. I walked in and had to work to make eye contact with one of the four people behind the counter to seat us. Once we were seated, we were given menus and asked what we wanted to drink. As far as alcoholic drinks go, it's $5 for a beer, the margaritas are about $7, and the mixed drinks are about $10. They do offer aguas frescas and Mexican cokes as well! They give you a little bowl of black bean soup and a tray of condiments that includes lime wedges, two salsas, cilantro, and raw onion. I ordered the pastor alambres without cheese, and the description is pastor, poblano pepper, onion, and bacon across four tacos. My order came with a small bowl of diced pineapple on the side instead of on the tacos. However, my corn tortillas were all slightly stacked on top of each other with the ingredients strewn across them so I wasn't able to eat them as tacos. By the time I had divided the pastor + veggie mix across the tacos, they were soggy with the oil from the meat and were almost impossible to eat. They were good, but I just didn't understand how I was supposed to eat it and ended up just eating the insides with a fork because the tortillas didn't hold up. We also waited a long time to get our waiter to come by with a to-go box and our checks. The service was very strange and our waiter never smiled, the food was simply decent, and honestly I didn't feel satiated by the time I left. I was hungry only an hour later! I know other people love this chain, but I know I'm not going to be coming back anytime soon. I did read that they're open till 1AM on the weekend, so I'm sure it would be a great stop after some light night socializing.

Gary L.

Yelp
This is one of my go to spots whenever I come to Dallas to get me a strawberry mango margarita and some tacos... Located in the shopping center near hospital just in case you overload on chips .. guac .. and queso lol If you need chill place and good food to just chat then check them out ! I've only have frozen drinks there so I can tell you how their other drinks are but the frozen drinks are good cheap !!

Samone W.

Yelp
We've tried this place a couple of times (6 months apart), and the service was good both times; however, the food wasn't both times.. On our first visit the server didn't speak English at all so we did a lot of pointing at the menu, and we knew some Spanish.. On our second visit the server was bilingual... They don't serve rice and beans like a lot of other Mexican restaurants, only black bean soup; nor, do they automatically serve chips and salsa... We ordered guac and chips to start (no flavor at all, only avocados blended together (not the traditional ingredients: tomatoes, jalapeños, etc)). The cost of that was $9 and they only give you a handful of chips... We drink imported beer, so we paid $12 for 2 Pacificos... We also noticed they charge a TABC tax which we had never seen before at other restaurants we have ordered alcohol/beer/wine from... Attached is the receipt from our visit... We will not be returning, and we only visited this location a second time to give it another try before saying no way... 2 stars is for the servers that were nice on each visit...

Crystal M.

Yelp
Bean soup was great... that's all we were ever given with the poor customer service we received. A bus boy handed us some soups off the counter and we were never ever greeted after that. Multiple waiters stood and watched the soccer games never asked us if we wanted any water something to drink, an appetizer, or meal. Even the cooks and all the people in the photos never once helped us. It wasn't until we stood up to walk out 45 minutes later they decided to make any eye contact with us. Customer service is key. I work in this field and it's just not acceptable, especially when this many people were standing around.
